With a hatchery on site, it seems criminal to order anything but trout at the Club's restaurant (open to members only). So be it, because I ordered perch. And lamented the decision after tasting one of my dining companion's rainbow trout entree, pan-fried. Perfection. Meaty and substantial, it's no wonder American Indians and other frontier men and women made meals of this amazing fish. The ambience in the dining room feels a bit like a hotel ballroom, lacking but with great views and a porch for sitting to digest. The highlight being the fish, everything that wasn't seafood left a bit to be desired (vegetable of the day, accompaniments, bruschetta appetizer). But again, it's criminal to focus on anything but that which came from the water. I did try their cherry pie and, at our waitress Kelley's recommendation, I added a piece of cheddar cheese on top. It makes sense, but didn't add (or take away) anything from what happened to be a great slice of summer. I love pie. Finally, if you get lucky enough to go, definitely end your evening in the bar on the main floor. Settle into one of their mission chairs and have Bailey's on ice, port or whatever other digestif that strikes your fancy. You are able to play on the different courses and use the facilities at all three with your membership. I have a relative with a membership and was impressed as soon as I stepped inside. The course was very well groomed and had a pleasant difficulty. I have had great meals at both locations that I've been to. Each event was well serviced and planned. You were able to enjoy the event while the staff carried on with their business in the background. If you are looking for a club in the area, I would not hesitate to join here. Highly Recommended.

I've enjoyed days by the pool, dinner, and multiple weddings over the years. For starters, the Zanesville Country Club and golf course is right smack dab in the middle of Zanesville. When you arrive, there is plenty of parking and the building is easy to access with stairs and a ramp. The swimming pool is obviously around back but the dining room and bar is there as soon as you walk in. The place is decorated nicely but it's a little more traditional. The bathrooms are kept very nice and clean, which is always a plus. The food I've had is good, not great but the shining star goes to the overall experience. The service here is always amazing. The wait staff is quick and attentive to get you what you want. When it comes to the weddings I've attended here, they've all been rather amazing. The green obviously makes for a beautiful back drop and the ballroom is perfect for a big celebration. As a guest, everything always appears to be running smoothly and that's super important. I definitely see the appeal in this place!
