Third and hopefully final update: Brotherhood Roofing refuses to call me to fix this issue. I think their customer service speaks for itself at this point, and I've included screenshots of their communication. The emails are from their business owner, while the Yelp response is from an employee. (Please check out their original response in my screenshot, they have since updated it to seem more professional). Here's the full story so potential customers can know what I experienced: My roof was completed in November 2019, so it was under warranty until November 2024. (Picture of contract is attached, it was not 2016 as their employee claims.) In June 2024, we had some leaks and the owner came out to investigate. We fixed the issues he pinpointed (leaves in the gutters and caulk around some flashing), but there was still leaking. A different roofer said the leak was coming from another location that they had not initially pinpointed. I tried to contact Brotherhood Roofing for the next 10 months, and they never returned my calls. In August 2024, their business was listed as closed, so I figured that was that. I still called to try and get this issue resolved. Today, in April of 2025, I received responses to my reviews on Yelp and Google, erroneously claiming that our install date was from 2016. I immediately reached out via phone call and email, hoping I could finally resolve the issue after 10 months. The company refuses to call me to discuss this. From my point of view, I am understandably annoyed about not receiving communication for 10 months and then receiving a sassy response to my reviews that tries to discredit me, with no attempt to resolve the issue. I no longer want this company to touch my home, but I think it's only fair to share the way that I have been treated so future customers can avoid the same experience. I hope that the company does not respond to this review and instead leaves me alone, as their communication with me has been very unpleasant and distressing. (Putting a fourth update here, since it's less important. Brotherhood continues to adjust their Yelp response to seem more professional and to discredit me. Luckily screenshots exist. The flashing they mentioned was under an eave, installed by our pest control company, and did not affect the roof. We do not have oak trees. They also said they would only re-inspect their work if I remove my reviews, which I'm not going to do. Their responses are continually baffling.) Second Update (after their Yelp response): I have a contract in my inbox dated 2019. I have emailed it to you. That maintenance was completed and the roof was still leaking. Another roofing contractor came out, looked at the roof, and confirmed that there was an area that was done poorly that caused the leak. You said you would contact me when that maintenance was completed. It has been. Please contact me. Update since I cannot reply to the business owner's comment: My roof was installed in November 2019, not 2016. I tried to contact them starting in summer of 2024, when my roof WAS still under warranty, and they did not respond and their business was listed as closed. Don't do business with this company. I encountered Mr. Sebastian Nosrati, of Brotherhood Roofing, on 07/19/2014 (over 11 years ago) when he showed up on the doorstep of my home, after canvasing the neighborhood, seeking to replace our roof. Normally I don't engage with people who I've not solicited services from; however, on this day, I entertained him and listened to his sales pitch, and upon conclusion, he provided me with a "proposal" outlining the scope of work he wanted to perform. He even stated that if I signed with him prior to the end of the month, that he would sweeten the deal and give us a free 32" HD LCD TV after the balance was paid in full. After discussing the matter with my husband, I called him on 07/22/2014 to let him know that we decided not to move forward with his proposal. He exploded in anger and told me that I either go with him and his price or else. I then informed him that we wouldn't be moving forward with him. To document the matter, I emailed him to reinstate what we had discussed over the phone. After much back and forth and him attacking my character, I asked that he not contact me anymore. Eleven years later, I discovered that he filed a mechanic's lien against my homesteaded property. I therefore consulted with a Board-Certified Construction Attorney who unequivocally informed me that the lien was procedurally invalid from the outset because the statutory requirements to file a mechanics lien against my homestead had not been satisfied and that even if they had, the lien was now invalid and unenforceable because a lawsuit to foreclose the lien was not filed within the one-year required time period. As such, I sent an email to Mr. Nosrati asking him to please remove the invalid and unenforceable mechanic's lien. The following was his response: "25-41196 Bankruptcy court 8/13/2025 - File as many lawsuits as you want - you won't get a penny :) You screwed me over 11 years ago, by breaching a contract - now it's time to pay You used me to get all the money for your claim - then after you got your big check you fucked me I made multiple trips to your home, met with your adjuster for 3 hours, scheduled multiple scopes of work, bought all the materials, You left me with material restock fees, gutter return fees, and you used my screen guy and left me out of the deal Tell [your attorney] to file as many lawsuits as he wants - you can't sue anyone while in bankruptcy, because I have nothing to sue for I will go to court and waste as much of your money as I can - leaving you with $30,000 in attorney fees while I represent myself Karma's a bitch! First, I never signed a contract with Mr. Nosrati, so there was nothing to breach. Secondly, there was no screwing involved in me filing a claim with my own insurance carrier to have repairs done on my property. We paid the premium to have insurance coverage and the check he was so upset about wasn't "big". Thirdly, he never made multiple trips to my home nor was he ever at my home for the three hours he stated with an adjuster. Fourthly, I find it hard to believe that he would purchase materials for a potential client he just met three days prior without a signed contract. The day after I informed him that we would not be retaining his company, he apparently contacted a solar screen company and ordered screens for my home. When the representative from that company showed up at my house, I explained to him that I had decided not to use Brotherhood Roofing; to which he stated that he was unaware of that and that he would return the product. I told him that I needed them anyway, so he replaced the screens, and I paid him for them. There was no deal to be left out of. read more

After a very strong and destructive hail storm a few months ago it was obvious I needed I new roof. I called my insurance and they were going to send a person to look at it and decide the damage and coverage. My neighbors and friends highly recommended Sebastian. I called him left a voicemail and told him the adjuster was coming that same day at noon. He called me back a few minutes later and said he was going to meet the insurance guy here that same day!! After that he txt me and said the insurance was going to pay for the new roof and to call him as soon as I had the insurance information. My insurance sent me everything. The insurance deducted a lot of course. Not only my deductible but also the depreciation of the old roof. Not cool from the insurance but that's what they do! Anyway Sebastian told me he would replace the roof at no extra cost from my part. He actually gave me a discount so I didn't have to come up with $1,000+ out of pocket. Amazing!! Then he sent me dates, we decided on one and he said the crew was going to be done the same day. That's exactly how everything went. They came at 7am and by 6pm they were done. This is our first home and we knew it needed a roof replaced immediately. We had a sagging/warped area of decking and some rafter separation. The shingles were past their prime and falling off and damaged by hail. I searched reviews to find someone who seemed friendly and highly recommended. Our insurance wasn't enough to cover a roof so I asked for a quote from this company. They replied promptly and came out quickly. Jarrod Kolb was our contact for the entire experience. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and I felt like he was offering what we needed and nothing more. I trusted him from the first quote so we did not contact anyone else. He also helped us understand the insurance and now we know to adjust coverage for the future. It was set to a really really high deductible for some reason instead of a %. Our roof was scheduled and completed in a very short time. I want to say it was within a week. We originally had regular shingles quoted but asked to be upgraded since hailstorms and wind are pretty intense. He told us about z-ridge and 30 year so we went with those. Not just for quality, but it looks beautiful. The roofers came early and completed the roof and repairs by evening. The repairs look great. No more sunken section (you can see in the picture, the sunken area was in the shadowed part and was very visible). All of the new vents and stuff look awesome, too. Our skylights were well taken care of also. The crew was very gentle with our glass outdoor lighting. We forgot to take those down and they didn't break any bulbs. They cleaned up everything around the house to better than it was when they got here! They also took down the satellites from the previous owner that we don't use, as requested. Logically, I got on yelp and with exceedingly good reviews, called Brotherhood Roofing. STRIKE 1 I called and got the answering machine...2 days later with no callback. I gave it a second chance and called again, spoke to a woman who took the project info. She kindly let me know I was in an area of service and I someone would contact me shortly STRIKE 2 I did get a text shortly after the phone call. When trying to schedule a time, the response was "we are very busy". I asked when was the next opening....no response STRIKE 3 I have now texted and called over 3 times and still have not had a single response as to when a visit can be made. I understand being busy and I had no rush to get someone to my home immediatly. A response...any response would have worked LESSON I get it, they have good reviews and thus are so busy they can't even respond to customers. Call these people! You won't regret it! They installed our gutters a year or so ago and we were impressed with their services, so we called again recently in regards to a leak in our sunroom where it joins with the chimney. For some history, we had the leak issue for some time and a previous (different) company had tried to fix it and couldn't get it to stop leaking. Their only solution was to replace the roof, so we held off due to cost. For some reason, it didn't occur to us to reach out to Brotherhood at the time. We decided to try again recently and had 3 companies come out to give us quotes. Thankfully, we included Brotherhood this time!! Recently had to have my roof completely replaced due to hail. I'm relatively... particular about contractors for major projects but after Brotherhood Roofing and reviewing some of their other installations I was convinced they would do a great job. Well, I wasn't disappointed. Sebastian and his teams not only completely replaced my roof but they also re-stained my fence, replaced my gutters, replaced all of my roof covers/vents, repaired and replaced some rotten wood around my chimney and repainted all of my trim and soffets. All of the work was done in an timely and professional manner by teams that certainly knew what they were doing. My family chose to reach out to Brotherhood Roofing because my mom's client referred us to Jarrod, the project manager. However, we are left highly disappointed in the lack of customer service. On August 22nd, I informed him via phone call AND text that my insurance company will have an adjuster visit on September 1st from 11am-2pm. He verbally confirmed and stated he would hare that date and timeframe booked off for us, as well as validated the appointment through text. On August 31st, a day before the scheduled meeting, I messaged Jarrod and did not receive a response. Interestingly enough, he did reply to my mom's texts ~6 hrs later asking, "what date"? To my mom's surprise, she called him for a discussion and he rudely hung up on her midway through the call. The rest of their conversation was through texting. First, he claimed he can't make it to the appointment because it is on a "Sunday" and a "holiday weekend". And then abruptly, he stated it was because a family member is in the hospital, so he did not remember our appointment. Let me clarify, WE ARE NOT INSENSITIVE PEOPLE. WE UNDERSTAND THERE ARE EMERGENCIES. HOWEVER, it is VERY unprofessional to not inform your customers. On top of that, if you did forget, why did you not respond after I sent you a reminder? A simple explanation and genuine apology would've sufficed. Not to mention, why would you initially claim that you don't work on Sunday's if you agreed to the appointment date more than a week prior? I found Brotherhood Roofing on Yelp and chose them based upon their reviews. I must say, the rating given by consumers was spot-on. Our experience with them for replacing our roof was 5 star service. From showing up on time, to polite installers and finishing timely the same day, we had a very positive experience. One of the roof managers even replaced a lightbulb and a few smoke detectors that were in 15 foot spots at our house, for a few extra bucks on the side. Sebastian went above and beyond to document the pitch of my roof to my insurance company, who was not wanting to pay for the correct pitch. I contacted Sebastian to give me an estimate to replace my roof of a house I own as a rental property. He examined the roof and sent me photos of a roof to show me the damage, but I could tell that it was not my roof and I told him this. He became very angry and demanded that I had to prove to him it was not my roof. He started berating me in his thick accent and said something about me having go to Google maps and research it and prove to him he had taken photos of the wrong roof. He got so angry when I told him it was not my roof in the photos that he hung up on me during our conversation. Later he sent me an email and said he had gone to the wrong house. He actually went onto the roof of my neighbor's house two times and took photos of their roof and emailed them to me. However he never apologized for the way he spoke to me over the phone and for hanging up on me. Before I found he had gone to the wrong house, I had asked him for a Certificate of Liability Insurance that every homeowner looking to get their roof replaced should require from their roofer. Texas is one of the few states that do not require roofers to be licensed so what you have is roofers from other states who cannot get a license or have lost their license, moving to Texas to set up shop. He sent me a Certificate of Liability Insurance with a company name of American Patriot Insurance Agency located in Westchester, IL with a phone number of 800-895-9091 at the top (see attached photo). I called the number to verify and to my surprise it had been disconnected. I Googled the name of the agency in Westchester, IL and found the correct number. I called the number and a lady in customer service researched it and they said they did not have any insurance coverage on Brotherhood Roofing. She also said they have had problems with Sebastian in the past, with him falsely claiming to others that he had insurance with them. 4/3/17 Update: Sebastian has been sending me vulgar & threatening emails that include profanity and name calling, which I have reported to Yelp. Beware as this harassment could happen to anyone that post a negative review on Yelp. If you want a legit company that knows what they are doing, hires good people and will treat you right look no further. This company is the roofer to go with. They are honest, quick, and make the process simple. My husband and I needed some repairs done to our roof (new turbine, re-attach the flashing from our stack to the roof and repair gable vent screens). I called and was able to have Jarrod come out a couple of days later to take a look at our roof and confirm the repairs from our home inspection plus anything additional they did not catch. He arrived on time which is rare with contractors. After taking a look, he showed me pictures of the repairs needed and gave me a very fair quote. I had contacted a couple other roofers and Brotherhood was the best quote by far. The next day he was able to get a crew out to my home and fix everything. So a tree branch fell onto our roof, punching a 50 cent peice hole clean through it. Called a few roofing companies, but brotherhood was the only company that responded in a timely fashion (I believe everyone was busy with repairs after a recent storm). I filled out a request for an estimate online late one night, and they responded the very next morning. The gentleman I worked with was extremely professional, quickly coming out to inspect the damage and then email me an invoice. I believe the very next day (may have been two days later) someone was out and performed the repair. We just had another downpour and there were no leaks. I am supremely impressed by their customer service and response time. In the time it took another roofing company to respond to my two phone calls (four days) with a text saying they had just placed me on a waiting list, Brotherhood had already appraised and repaired the damage. I own an investment property in Frisco, TX and I heard about the hail storm so I decided to get my roof checked. I called Brotherhood roofing and talked to Sebastian to get an estimate and he was very professional and efficient from the beginning. He explained the process very thoroughly and I arranged to fly out to meet with him and start fixing the roof. I have a big home and the weather was bad one day but they were able to finish in only two days. They even fixed small rotten areas and even took out the old satellite dishes. I really don't understand the negative reviews for Sebastian. He's as good as it gets. I'm glad I know a go to guy for my future roofing needs. read more

I would not recommend using Brotherhood. It makes no difference though. There are plenty of roofing brokers to choose from in the metroplex. The one star reviews are much more inline with my experience. I as well am suspicious of all the 5 star reviews like others have expressed. I told Sebastian upon signing contract I wouldn't be in town until the following Sunday after roof work. Then I was contacted on Wen the day after completion by his assistant Connie, asking what time she could come by and pick up payment check. I was in Florida during Hurricane Irma and told her call me next week. Fast Forward. Monday morning she calls again 8:30 am asking what time she could get a check. I was already at work and told her I would leave it Tue morning or they could come by when I got home after work. We left one as requested. I get an email Wen 7:50am stating the check had been returned as NSF. Again, I am at work. I call and tell them that funding for such a substantial amount wasn't done until Tue afternoon and the money was waiting for them. She says I need to leave work and bring a cashiers check. I said, I would on my lunch time at around 11-12. She calls me again at 11:40 and says she's at my house and I am not there. I was in a meeting that went longer than anticipated so was unable to go as early as planned. I told her to hammer the check to avoid driving all over the place during my lunch break. She asked me would the bank cash the check written to Brotherhood Roofing? I reply, as a business check I do not think you can walk into a branch and cash a 5 figure check on the spot. She tells me to call Sebastian. I proceed to call Sebastian to tell him the funding is waiting for him. Now the Bipolar guy routine kicks in. After belligerently raising his voice and making all kinds of threats like filing liens and taking the check to the County Constable and having me arrested, he demands I deliver in cash (seriously? like he would fill out a W-9) or get a cashiers check to Connie within the next hour. I actually told him to stop talking to me so aggressively. His reply was, Don't play with me man. If you want me to be nicer to you bring me my money otherwise, my next stop is the constables office, I'm not playing around with you! Good day Sir! Then hung up. I went ahead paid the $25 NSF fee he told me to add, which is non existent on their end. It hits the check writer not the merchant FYI. Absorbed the $8 cashiers check fee and delivered for them to pick up. Seems they have no way for you to go to their virtual office. So they (the actual roofing workers) did a fair enough job on my roof I suppose. We will see. They did not pull a permit as required by the city. I was treated terrible and threatened by the owner over basically nothing. In my opinion find a company that accepts various payment options and terms and has a real business address. Brotherhood Roofing did an excellent job! I highly recommend them. They stuck out amongst their competitors. I do a lot of research when selecting a vendor for a large job like this, a roof replacement, and this company exceeded my expectations. One thing they did, that no other company did was they sent me a copy of their own insurance and liability coverage before anyone came out to assess my roof. With multiple companies coming out to take a look at my roof condition, Brotherhood Roofing was the only one who did this which I was impressed by. At that point I could tell they were not just any roofing company like many of the others, but they cared about their customers and the job they could potentially earn. In working with Jarrod, our primary contact, he was very very helpful; always responding to my many questions no matter what time of day I was sending them. Old roof, typically damaged from everything that happens in the area. Insurance came out, did their thing and said I can find whoever to fix. Yelp to the rescue, these guys came out quickly, and on schedule. Once I work out a schedule for fixing, they are there on schedule, full crew, and fast.
