Great experience my first time. Brothers is formed by competent brothers who know how to cut hair well. The parking situation is great. Lots of private parking available. When I walked in, there was no wait. I was immediately seated, and the cut began. He asked what I was looking for, and did an excellent job. They trim you up with the straight razor as well, so it is a very similar experience to other places in the area. The prices are good for the value...I think I paid $20 for a men's haircut, which is average for the area. I've been going to a different barber shop for the last several years. Last week I called my barber and she was out of the country on vacation. I needed a haircut badly and couldn't wait for her to return. I've also gone to Carls in the past but I had a bad experience with Angie there at Carls on State Road 84. So, yesterday I started looking for a place to cut my hair this time. So glad I found Brothers Barber Shop! THIS is what a barbershop should be like! I was greeted at the door as soon as I came in. They were busy, that's a good sign, and I was told to sit and they would tend to me soon. I had barely sat down when one of the barbers became available. He asked me what I wanted and he did exactly what I requested. They do the hot towel treatment, they trim your eyebrows, nose and ear hair. They even serve you Cuban coffee! I found a new barber. This place is a great place to get great haircut! When I first stepped inside I was greeted immediately by the lovely host. I told her that I didn't have an appointment and she gladly took my name and asked me to take a seat and I'll be called in a few minutes. Whileni waited a looked around and saw all this great sports memorabilia...mostly home teams...Heat, Marlins and Dolphins. Very cool and the barbers were all at their stations cutting hair, talking and looking sharp in their white shirts. Very classy and old school feel. Oh yeah they even serve a cafecito if you like! Had a 9:15 appointment. My barber was over an hour late. Life happens and I get that but no courtesy call or update instead I get there and sat there for over a half hour before I have to go ask what's going on. I get the same thing that the barber is running late. So they say Jamie is available. My fault for agreeing to the only barber not having clients lined up on a busy Saturday. No fade, left a huge patch of hair not cut on the back of my head. Sides didn't line up on either side. Used zero shaving cream on my neck! So much razor burn as soon as I walk out into the heat. No "hey sorry for the wait, here's a discount" 1hr 15min for a haircut I didn't like. Your suppose to feel good about yourself after haircut. Today was unfortunately not the case as I had my hat on as soon as I got in the car. Should of said something but there's kids there and line of other customers. Feeling defeated and bummed I'm taking my licks and hair somewhere else to fix it on my Labor Day weekend. I was hesitant in changing barbers as I'm loyal to those that cut my hair. I'm up there in age but have a great head of hair. So, not being sure since I hadn't been there before I sent my wife with my son first (you know throw the little guy into the fire first). Rich did a great job on his hair so 2 weeks later I decided to go. I went with Rich and I can honestly say that this young man gave me the best cut I've had in over 25 years. Full barber shop with hot towels, straight blade clean up etc. I couldn't leave the shop yesterday without telling one of the brothers that they have a great product and a gem of a barber in Rich.
