Be careful and always get a receipt. This place has great weed, but I just got a joint for $4 and change, and the guy charged me for $5, which I assumed was him giving himself a tip or he was stoned. I was exhausted so I didn't say anything (ugh, why?). He gave me no receipt, and when I got the text that my credit card had been used, it said $8.00. He didn't explain any extra charges and this overcharging has happened to me once before here, but I caught it in time and called the guy out. The guy working was a tall white guy in a hoodie, which is like 90% of the store, so no way to describe who to keep an eye out for. read more

I love this place, they always take care of me and are really knowledgeable about the strains. I typically only buy flower but there is always a decent ounce special and they always make sure to point out specials and discounts. I like how they always have newer but also old school strains, and also cbd strains. Very friendly and accommodating. read more

Fantastic dispensary! Easily located off Division, with ample street parking. They have a large selection of cartridges- some pretty unique strains too. Easy in and out procedure, never too busy- or long of a wait, anyway. Excellent pre roll deals, great for stocking up! The staff here rocks. This was the third dispensary we stopped at on our recent visit to Portland, and it was by far the best one. I'm a little sad it took us that long to finally visit Brothers! It doesn't really look like much from the outside, but the inside is very nice, clean, and budtenders are helpful. They have TV screens displaying everything they have in stock, which was a much better and fuller selection than the other dispensaries we had visited. Their pricing is also among the best we encountered--can't beat that! We'll definitely be stopping in Brothers on our next visit to Rip City! read more

Meh. Bought an eighth on sale, which was super cheap (like $15 I think), and got what I paid for. Just no quality. Bought a gram of top shelf sativa and of top shelf indica. Get home, and they are both labelled hybrids. Also just not great quality..dry product, crumbled in my hands. Not what I expect when I'm paying over $13 a gram. None of the budtenders working (3 of them, 2 customers) seemed terribly concerned with service. Just like "Oh, what do you want? Ok, here." There's just so many better options. read more

UNSAFE DISTRIBUTOR!!!! Had no idea what they were selling. I asked for concentrates, the dude tells me he only has bubble hash, then pulls out wax? I ask him what strain the wax was and he said it was all a "blend" and as I was waiting for him to explain what strains were in this blend he instead tells me about how it doesn't matter what strains as long as you get the thc. WRONG! Then I was asking for a more functional wax where he then asked if I vaped it in a pen or dabbed it; I said both. He then proceeds to tell me "well no matter what, you're not going to function from wax." I then realized that these people have no idea what is in their product and deem this store unsafe to buy your stuff! read more

This is my favorite dispensary in Portland! The employees are always super nice and down to earth, and they have pretty much everything you need with the best prices. Lots of flower choices, with updates to their menu every day, and all prices are listed on a TV screen so you can see them super easily. Occasionally, they even have ounces for less than $100 which is something I take advantage of. Also, they have taxes included in the listed prices so you don't have the calculate the 12% cannabis tax on top of the listed price, which is very nice. read more

My boyfriend and I came here for our first dispensary experience. We were interested in oils, edibles, CBD, etc. As infrequent users, we had lots of questions about all of the products. The budtender was extremely friendly and helpful, and took his time listening to us and making recommendations based on what desired effect we were looking for. We both left very satisfied. They listed Blackberry Cream on their Leafly.com menu but when I got there, there was no strain of that sort to be found. So it was kind of false advertising. They didn't seem too concerned about that and I bought something else. They could use improvement listing products accurately and doing better by disappointed customers like myself who feel disappointed. They can do better than this I would hope so. read more

We probably frequent this dispensary once a week or every two weeks. It's a short walk from our house, and it's reasonably priced for good strains of weed! They have really awesome budtenders there that are friendly, knowledgeable, and will remember you if you're a regular or come in often enough. They also have great prices on glass! They have given us discounts a few times since we frequent the shop so much! It is greatly appreciated! One of the better dispensaries I've been to! I bought a gram of Northern Lights Cheese and a gram of Lemon Sour Diesel for 23.50$. (Waiting for my renewal medical card to come in the mail!) I think their selections are limited for the space they have, but utilize the space well! Some of my favorites to get from there is Obama Kush, (eighth is 30$), and Headband. Small selection of BHO and limited selection of edibles, also kind of spendy compared to other dispensaries I've been to. read more

Decent selection, good prices -- But by far the reason to visit this place is the staff. They are always SO helpful and knowledgeable. Yesterday I went in looking for some help with very specific pain and they not only knew their products well enough to recommend the right stuff for the job, in the end they sent me to another business that had a wider selection. I was quick to try this place once recreational use became legal. The product proved to be mid-shelf, though I always tried their best offerings. I returned several times because the prices were low. Less than $30 for their mid-shelf eighth and less than $40 for their supposed best. It was sufficient, at best, when friends with superior products weren't available. After visiting the dispensary a few times, I became lackadaisical with my purchasing, in a sense, and came home to discover the eighth I had purchased, though the same strain, had a different strain analysis printed on the label. This meant that the 29.23% THC Kush I had asked for, was replaced by a 24.16% THC Kush I had no knowledge of nor did I ask for. I was upset seeing this, and stormed over to the store. They quickly calmed me of course, offering me the Kush I had asked for and an added gram for the trouble. This was nice, but really, was the result of a systemic flaw. They made this mistake twice again, within a three month time-span, but with less than ten visits in that time. They hire folks that I believe are not qualified for the job, do not follow basic retail acumen, and use cannabis products on-premises. Of course, for the above described blunders, I take partial responsibility. I did not look at each package of cannabis after it was put into the brown bag, and before leaving the premises. Things are often in a hurried state and customers are typically engaged in constant conversation but more on that below. As time has progressed, I've seen the prices rise at Brothers as well. Interesting, since they continue to pay growers/sources what many consider are the lowest prices. Prices increases are often done in shady ways. Last week, they featured a Girl Scout Cookies with ~28% THC for $43.75 and I had purchased three or four eighths, on separate occasions, about a day or two apart. Then, I visit with just about correct change and they request $50 for the same product, same amount... They often play dumb in these instances, as if the sudden and inexplicable increase in price is a surprise; they aren't sure why a sudden jump in price occurred. Other times, they'll use "testing" or lab analysis as an excuse. It is, to use a crude but applicable acronym, BS. It is shady methods such as this that have contributed to their reputation within the industry. It tends to both bore you and somehow offend you, all at once. Also, claims such as that they were the first dispensary in Portland, just intensify critics. There is no sense that they value or even remember customers. They engage in what often comes off as superficial but necessary dialogue, drab and dull. I wish better could be said about the product or the staff/customer service, but in my opinion, they have a very long way to go. read more

It was my go-to dispensary in the neighborhood until today. They gave me the wrong product (put it in bag so I didn't see it) and when I went back shortly after for exchange and it was unopened, etc., they wouldn't do it. They are just too busy now so I think customer service has suffered. It's too bad but this forces me to find another place and luckily that won't be a too difficult in Portland. read more

Absolutely would never go back. Will also be telling my friends who are looking around for good bud shops not to even waste there time. Not sure who they know at Willamette Week but they did not deserve the title of Best Dispensary. I have been to many shops around town and price isn't all you should go on. Their top shelf looked ok. And mid to bottom shelf was decent. My real issue was with the staff. I was served by a very surly young girl with dreadlocks and a speech impediment. When I walked in she looked uninterested in helping me, and made sure to finish her conversation with a coworker before helping me. I get young people don't understand the importance of service always, but the topic of conversation was extremely negative comments about management. I don't need to hear your shops dirty laundry when I am just trying to buy some weed. Also what she was saying is very telling about the kind of people who run this shop. I ended up quickly buying a top shelf eighth and getting out of there. When I got home the eighth was .1 short. 0/10 would not recommend read more
