We've called on Brothers' Tree Service twice, both times for tree emergencies. The first time was when a red oak fell on our home, directly over our heads, just after midnight on a Saturday night. We called Brothers at 7 a.m. on Sunday morning. They were on site in about an hour, with mega heavy duty equipment and a crew of four. My husband is still working his way through the wood from that tree! Most recently, he made toddler beds for our twin grandchildren. Two days ago, my husband saw that a branch on a dead pine tree had cracked and was in danger of falling onto the road. I called the main number and chose the "tree emergency" option, which patched me right through to Joseph's cell phone. He was on our doorstep in 15 minutes and the guys took that tree down later that same afternoon. True professionals with the right equipment and experience. We feel completely safe in their hands. Called this tree service to have two large trees trimmed. Their price seemed very high. Asked them about a small side job thinking they'd probably just include it in the cost. The quote for that little bit of work was exorbitant. The second estimate I got was one-half what Brother's Tree Service quoted. Can't comment on their work, but they're overpriced. As for the company's response, a licensed and insured arborist did the work. read more

Got a quote too take 2 trees down and remove all the material for $ 17,000.00 Needless to say that's insane...I found a tree service that did it all for $ 4,000.00 My advise is to get multiple quotes read more

On the first hot day of 2023 Brothers' Tree Service worked on our complicated hilly terrain to cut ailing or dangerously tipping trees, clear brush, and cover paths with woodchips to halt erosion. They used all the resources they have to make our land safe and beautiful. I am moved by their dedication to their craft and their respect for the environment. With all that is going on, they came out way before I thought they would. They called me the day they were coming and everything went great. They were incredible efficient, my neighbors were very impressed. When I got home everything was clean & what they said they were going to do, they did. Sent an email for an appointment for a quote through their website. Was not able to return their call for two weeks because I was out of state tending to a sick family member. Person I was finally able to speak to was annoyed that I hadn't called back sooner since he was apparently in my area already, and wanted me to describe the work I needed done to write me a quote. Since it was a lot, I said I preferred that he come to look at it; writing a quote without looking at what needs to be done doesn't make sense to me. He was very irritable and distracted when he was here, and I could tell he was not really paying attention. Nevertheless we walked the perimeter of my property and I told him all that needed doing. He said he would email me a quote. His quote came back a full double what three others had already quoted. When the arborist I actually went with arrived, we walked the perimeter again to review what was to be done that day, and he asked me if I actually wanted all the marked trees removed, because we hadn't discussed them. We were shocked to find that Brothers had spray painted large orange dots on the trees they had planned to pull down, NONE of which had I said I wanted done! Orange marks on NINE trees that we had not planned to remove. It is so unprofessional to mark trees before you have as signed contract in hand! read more

Very fast response time and quick scheduling for the job as well. Lots of skill on display navigating the bucket truck around some power lines to trim some branches that were caught in between. Brothers were great to work with! read more

I initially called & someone physically picked up the phone & slammed it back down. I called right back, the lady who answered the phone is very rude. She answered with a sharp hello & then a pause. She doesn't even say the business name. I had to ask her if this was Brother Tree Services, I thought perhaps I called the wrong number & this was someones home. Now, I recently purchased my home here in CT. But I am from NY with a NY cell number. I assume the caller ID says NY, B/c she then abruptly asked if I'm in NY or CT. Her tone is as if I called the wrong number & wasting her time. I say CT. I gave my first name & last initial, fully willing to continue on to my address & phone number. I've been a victim of identity theft, so I'm not big on giving my full name. But before I could explain my hesitation on giving my full name. She began to scold me about how this company works. I immediately said no thank you, this report doesn't work for me, I no longer choose to give you my business, and hung up. All I wanted was someone to come take a look & give me a tree thinning & removal estimate. I have had numerous professionals come to my home for different projects with just my first name, address, & phone number. I don't understand her abrasive, rude, condescending attitude. It was uncalled for. As I am writing this review after I told her I DO NOT want her business, she texted me a long paragraph of instructions I need to adhere to b4 she can give me an estimate. You cannot give a tree estimate via phone. You have to come to the property and assess the trees. read more

I wrote a complaint because that is exactly what happened. You're right. I didn't put the correct name. Maybe I didn't get your name because you didn't introduce yourself. I checked our text messages. I have a ring alarm camera that has part of our conversation if you want to pretend that you were courteous and helpful. The first thing you stated was that you didn't want to give me the quote because you didn't think I owned the property. You stated 4 times you wanted to speak with the person "paying". As if we weren't going to pay. Mind you I was requesting a quote. Your next statement was you were not going to Waste your time to trim the tree but you would remove it. I also requested a quote for bamboo removal and you stated that the person who is doing the paving should remove the bamboo. I thought you were an arborist? I thought it was your job to deal with trees? For some unknown reason you kept telling me what you would NOT be doing. You had a nasty attitude from the beginning. I had to ask if there was an issue? Did I not? I have no reason to lie about our interaction. Maybe if you were more professional I wouldn't have posted a review. Check my history. I never write bad reviews. Don't try to put it on me as if I was the problem. You had an attitude and apparently wasn't trying to do the work for Us. I truly believe you're racist. You didn't believe I owned my property & repeated that you only wanted to deal with the owner, then person paying. Furthermore, you gave me a quote for $15,000. Why the inflation? We had the pleasure of working with this family recently. We were impressed from beginning to end. We first met with Joe, one of the owners and he was very thorough. He discussed with us not only how they would trim our tree so our house was free from dangerous limbs, but preserve our tree...which was important to us. The day they came to work, they had a crew of about 4-5 guys and were in and out in a matter of a few hours. Great job guys! read more
