This church is only moments up the road from me and is very old fashioned and probably how you…read moretypically expect a church to be. The hall is fine but again a typical church hall, not modern, clean or suitable for today in my book but probably is fine for the Guides or Scouts or whatever. It also runs a playgroup but I was not impressed so only went once. Church services are traditional and not particularly well attended. It is Church of Scotland and I don't know how evangelical but I go to City Church and it is fab and really preaches what churches should - Craigiebank church - I'm not so sure. Its also not that attractive a church - ugly building. They do table sales regularly but I have been twice with a table and you end up losing money.

Central or CBC as its known is a fab church, really great. I went there for years until about 2…read moreyears ago. It is a real living breathing church with a vibrant life and represents people of all ages and walks of life. It is true to the bible with sold teaching and ministries and great kids work. The worship (by that I am referring to music in this context) is a mixed bag wth some organ and some modern praise band stuff. It is a large church with a few hundred members and is currently extending its building and adding an extension which will allow it do even more in the local community. For my taste it is not charismatic enough as I prefer the gifts of the spirit (and by that I am referring to prophecy, tongues etc) to be in use within services and also the music is not new enough for my taste. However, I still love it very much and it is a wonderful church for a new or mature christian or of course non christian looking for a warm, supportive and challenging christian home

If you're looking for more information about this church the service starts at 10am and there is a website that you can visit if you are curious about anything. if you do ever go there yourself I'm sure you will have a very good time even if you aren't religious it's just a lovely experience.
