I was never looking to make extra money, I was only concerned about the medical bills that Geico, the man's insurance that hit me, refused to pay any of them. It was instantly diagnosed that this accident had caused me to have a compression on my C4 Dash C5 vertebrae and a bulging desk. Potential he of course it can cause issues down the road but I am very proactive about taking care of what needs to be done to prevent that. I honestly am not one for lawyers at all, but Julia Kerr was above and beyond the expectations I ever had of any personal injury lawyer. Like I mentioned above I wasn't looking to get a $2 million settlement or really even anything, I just needed my bills paid from imaging and treatment of my compressed vertebrae/spinal cord. Julia Kerr has been more than helpful, does not waste your time or money, and is legitimately the most personable attorney you will ever meet. She completely understands the circumstances, what you need, and helps you create a quick (for that process and the BS it can entail w insurance companies) outcome that will at the VERY least get your bills paid if not more. I was thankful that she was able to get my lost time compensated (over 2 weeks of work, I was paid hourly at the time) which is very difficult to do from what I understand. But also Geico was refusing to pay all of it so we had to use my uninsured policy for other drivers to even pay the rest of my medical bills. She was efficient, responsive, and just amazingly helpful in every way possible. I work in healthcare so I know sometimes how certain personal injury attorneys can be (more money, who cares about time?!) and I have to say that she completely does not fit any sort of stereotype that you may have. With that being said I would recommend going to her in a heartbeat if you are in the similar situation that I was or if you are really really hurt and need assistance on how to handle the situation. She will do everything in her power, even if you did have to go to court, to make sure that you are getting a satisfied outcome. Thankfully we did not have to go to court, but let me put this in here under no circumstances do I EVER recommend Geico as a car insurance. EVER. Especially if this is how they handled the people they are not insured in an accident, I couldn't imagine what more of a nightmare it would be if you were actually insured by them. I thank god have State Farm and I will tell you, 100% you get what you pay for with car insurance. The Bradley Law Firm/Julia Kerr's paralegals, as well as the receptionists at this firm are also amazing and very easy to work with, they talk to you and they also make sure that you completely understand everything you need and if you don't they will contact whomever they need to to make sure that they give you the answer you were looking for. So as much as I hope that I am never in the situation again. If the problem arise I would go back to Julia and this law firm in a heartbeat. I risked good standing, medically to follow the instructions by keeping possession of medical equipment and turning the company who owned the equipment away. I sent the photos requested by Jo Cagel. She complained about the date I signed the contract sent to me but I dated it the day I signed it. I had been hospitalized twice between the time I received it and the day I signed it. She belittled me obviously not having the compassion needed to work with a client who had been injured. She Doesn't understand the nature of my health or injuries related to the the device. I held onto it when the company wanted it back. Cold heart Jo Cagel. I was hospitalized twice between receiving the paperwork and signing it. I didn't see you reaching out to guide me or help during this medical injury period that sent me to the hospital. Keep looking for the attorney who knows how to help an injured person or even be interested enough to follow what is happening with the client. Don't ever accept this type of treatment from someone that is supposed to be helping you through a hard time, avoid this type of mistreatment at all cost. Beware of Cagel Law.

I returned to the party. Our Hearts are so full having been able to travel to St. Louis. The Marines were there collecting Toys for Tots. We had our photo taken with them. I saw them load many boxes of toys throughout the night. It seemed every time I rolled past the front they were filling another box. This was the first time we came to the party.
