I have no Family close by, and I didn't want a funeral, etc., just to be cremated and to be sent to Ft. Custer to be buried with my late Husband. I dealt with Jeremy, who is a blessing. He (and still is) answered all my questions, no matter how odd they were. It's nice to be able to change things a bit, and know that Jeremy will do his best to help me. He has already made some excellent suggestions to make it easier for me.

I called Kryder Cremation Services Tuesday morning and get some info so I could make the decision to bury him in our pet cemetery or cremate him. They made my choice so easy! Information was readily shared, they were polite and very soothing to speak to. 20 minutes later I was in the car on my way to them. Went in and the area is clean, bright, and a few meows were lounging to greet me. A few questions later about individual or group cremation, and basic info about me and my Napoleon dynamite, a fee of $120.00 was paid and I was on my way home to eat cookies and sob in my bed. The next afternoon they called and said that he was ready to be picked up and gave me the hours of operation again. I couldn't believe that in just over 1 day it was done. Drove out there, was greeted by a orange and white meow ( which is what my Napoleon dynamite was) which almost brought me to my knees- the ladies at the desk were very fast to ask me what I needed and when I said that I was there to pick up my ashes one went to get them and the other gently spoke to me about the cats that I was admiring. The box that they sent him home in is absolutely perfect. Is tasteful and elegant and just so lovely. The certificate has his name on it and is wonderful as well.

I went in several times to go over the details as my dad was a stage 4 cancer patient at the time, and was only given weeks to live. Every question I had was treated as an inconvenience. Only "certain" people could help you if you walked in. They disregarded several of my requests. They think they have the monopoly on the Catholics on the West and South sides of South Bend. More, on prepaid arrangements, you are a thorn in their side. I took a year to think before I wrote this review. It wasn't done on raw emotion.

In the process we found out two other family members had problems with their headstones sinking over time. Cutler arranged to have the headstone lifted and stabilized. The other was over one hundred years old and had cracked in half. Dale again assisted us to replace the headstone with a new one. Cutler took excellent care of us every step of the process. Updating us with photos and timelines. I can't tell you how relieved I was that my 82 year old mother did not have to travel back to Indiana during Covid to take care of this! Luckily, Mark, the owner at the time, made it as right as he could, and took responsibility for the mistake and the poor behavior of the employee. However, that employee Craig, has since bought, and now runs the company. One of my remote controls isn't working. I thought there was something wrong with the batteries and I couldn't figure out how to open the remote so I reached out to the owner and he told me about unscrewing the tiny screws in the back. Before I was able to ask where I could get these specialty batteries, he claimed to have customers who haven't had to change the batteries for 20 years. Since I have a 10 year warranty I asked if they could send me a new remote control; he claimed that the remote controls weren't included in the warranty. Throughout this phone call the owner of SUN & SHADE AWNING LLC SouthWest (SW) Michigan was extremely argumentative and even accused me of having an attitude problem, when I was just trying to figure out how to rectify the problem of the broken remote control. Then he hung up on me and wouldn't respond to my messages. Fortunately I was able to find the company that distributes the remote controls and order one directly through them; they were helpful and easy to work with. Unfortunately, the remote is quite pricey so it's a bummer that not even three years down the road, I had to order and pay for a new remote. I wish I'd never purchased this custom item from SUN & SHADE AWNING LLC SouthWest (SW) Michigan because when things go wrong, I have no choice but to interact with their belligerent owner.
