Dr. Michael E. "M E." Brown, Chiropractor at 405 Broadway, Truth or Consequences, NM 87901, seems above-board when his office manager "Lupe" charges you $30 for a visit, but then, because she asked for your insurance card, even if you don't have coverage for chiropractic, will go and bill your insurance for much more unbeknownst to you. There was no information given to you about the fees being charged to insurance, and if your insurance doesn't cover, you will get an unexpected big bill about six months after the treatment. Be aware that Dr. Brown charges extra separate charges if he looks at or treats "extra spinal" joints (which you won't know until you get the bill). Each treatment session with Dr. Brown lasts less than 5 minutes (hence it was thought that the $30 covered it), and afterward you will feel like you were run over by a train. Dr. Brown did fix the damage done by Chiropractor Dr. Sutherland, whose office is nearby at 107 Broadway. But Dr. Sutherland's shortcomings is another story. I wonder if these two chiropractors are actually in business together, where one maladjusts your back, and then seeking correction you end up going to the other one (after all there's not much choice in Truth or Consequences).
