Brown Hill Park is a nice and varied park on the cusp of rich suburbia.
It's a good compromise between a city park and conservation park I'd say. Probably because it's located on a hill. There's plenty of nature kicking around in the park and plenty of tracks and things to investigate to occupy yourself.
I drive up to the lookout when I'm in the area to eat lunch watching the western side of the city from above. A great place to take in a marvellous Adelaide sunset as well. I remember once we came up here when there was a fire on an adjacent hill and we watched water bombers attack and douse the flames. People were cheering and clapping along as it battled the blaze.
