Vintage Airstream with an awesome view and amenities. Just me and the wife. We hit a couple of local restaurants and had a couple great meals. Barley's Hops & Malt and East Troy House Restaurant. We drove to Milwaukee and visited some old friends on Thursday. It is only 40 miles away. And the hosts stopped by and spent some campfire time with us. Awesome! On Friday our children joined us and we moved to the 'Hilton'. We treated them because they grew up camping with us and we thought this was a great way to get together, reminisce and be together without all of the setup and hassle of camping. We sat around the campfire, had some great meals. We had Dutch oven pizza in the fire pit on Friday night. Steak and lobster, COC, twice baked potatoes, and stuffed chicken breast (some not care for steak and lobster) all on the propane grill on site. Almost forgot the Dutch oven breakfasts, Biscuits, Gravy and Egg Casserole (https://iamhomesteader.com/biscuits-and-gravy-casserole/) and Overnight Dutch Oven French Toast Casserole (https://homemadeheather.com/overnight-dutch-oven-french-toast-casserole/) Extra large fire pit and propane grill made it easy to cook some big family meals. There is not anything that we needed that was not provided (bring your own food of course). Truly recommend Camp Kettlewood. Planning another trip in September.

Although the name has Geneva in it, it is not on Lake Geneva and Lake Geneva is a ride away. The two golf courses are expansive, challenging but satisfying. The staff is skilled in running an outing and event. Onsite restaurants are legit. We've been to the steakhouse and the Italian restaurant, both are good. Make reservations if you don't want to wait. The rooms are not expansive but they are adequate. Our needs were met. Staff is helpful and professional.

While the resort was nice, the rooms were old and not what we expected for the price we paid. Upon entering our rooms, the studio had a strong gas like smell. (There was also a carbon monoxide monitor on the fireplace mantel which was not in any other room). When we called the front desk, they said they would send someone but did not know when they would come. After over an hour of not being able to use the room, we returned to the front desk and they were able to move our rooms to another building of Villas. (I do want to commend the manager - Corie, as she went above and beyond to assist with the move). As said above, the new rooms were fine, but not what we would expect for the price we paid. In the new studio room, the safe had a low battery, so we could not use it. There were no towels and we had a hard time getting towels to use at the pool. We had to use towels from our other Villa. The hand held shower head was broken, as was the foot rest in the shower. Housekeeping was also very difficult as no one told us that you must request housekeeping 24 hours prior to the need. The two bedroom villa was a bit better, with only a few bathroom issues including a tub with a broken stopper and a downstairs bathroom door which sticks, not allowing the person to exit. In addition, we were never able to get the crib and highchair we requested. The villas have a higher resort fee, and I am not sure what this provides. The food in the restaurants was fine, though seemingly short staffed for a busy holiday weekend. The rewards program they tell you about is very confusing. No one explains it and it is truly useless. Upon check out, the manager on duty was very helpful and apologized for our troubles. He did provide a partial refund on our rooms which was very appreciated. The Grand Geneva is described as a luxury resort. I would not consider the rooms and amenities to be luxurious. We will definitely return to Lake Geneva, but would not return to the hotel..
