The best fries ever!! One of the things that I miss about not living in Stratford anymore.read more

Ken's is an institution…read more There are always more than one Ken's Chuckwagons out situated around the city: 1. THE ORIGINAL: Downtown behind City Hall! 2. THE OTHER ONE: In front of Canadian Tire in the parking lot of Festival Marketplace, known by many of the locals as "the new mall" (circa 1990; opposed to "the old mall" which is across the street and was there first. It is about to open a Target as its biggest, flagship retail store, replacing a particularly scuzzy Zellers). And here come the stars: 1. Original food truck. From childhood. In fact, from my Dad's childhood. Since 1953. Still going strong. Booyah! 2. Fresh cut. Need I say more? 3. They come in a paper bag. Old school style. A la ghetto grocery bag: http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_ma9gp0PKPk1qmildzo1_400.jpg 4. Crispy on the outside, soft and/or soggy on the inside. Perfection! 5. Super salty. LOVE IT! Plus either plain vinegar (for losers) or malt vinegar (for awesome people). They pride themselves as "not needing ketchup" so wait until you're out of their line of vision before you Heinz it up. 6. ****** Extra points! ******* TWO locations. 7. ******* Extra points! ******* Open SEVEN days a week. 8. ******** Extra points! ******** No air conditioning in the trucks! WOW! Clearly a labour of love! And we appreciate it! Do not go here if you are on a diet.

Three years ago when I discovered this food truck, I went to purchase some donuts with my Caucasian…read morefriend I purchased first and when I got my donuts, there was no powder in the bag. My friend ordered the same amount of donuts that I did, and her bag was filled with sugar and filled with powder and we've all that we would never buy donuts from this lady again because clearly she has an issue with coloured people. Four years later, she has the privilege of going to different schools and selling her donuts and every time a coloured child approaches her truck and ask for a pacific item. She lets them know that she doesn't have it then the coloured children will send their Caucasian friend to go buy the donuts that they were told she does not have, and she gives the Caucasian children the exact order that Previously she denied This woman this business does not respect appreciate all colours of people purchasing her items she's disrespectful to adults she's disrespectful to children, and she only seems to be disrespectful to brown and coloured people .

The Donut Diva - Light, fluffy, not overly sugared but enough to get you salivating... the way a mini donut should be
