A few years ago, I was referred by my primary care doctor and have been going to Dr. Fox ever…read moresince. He is the best hematologist I've been to (I've been to a few); and I've have been able to call and get into the office without any problems (and, most importantly, get any and all issues revolved quickly). His staff and the women in the lab are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Fox.

About a year ago I decided to try to get myself back in shape. Which is not an easy undertaking…read moresince I'm in my 50's. On the recommendation of a friend I went to see Doctor Fox, and I've very glad I did. He gave me a thorough physical and then scheduled a second appointment so that we could discuss the lab results after they were completed. We discussed the results and my concerns and he was very patient in listening to my worries, offering his professional observations, and discussing possible ways to approach my problems. Since I'm in my fifties, he referred me to some other specialists in the downtown DC area for some additional tests and screening and then followed up with me about the results. I still have a ways to go, but I've very glad that I'd had the opportunity to meet Dr. Fox and to work with him. To be honest, I was dreading having to deal with my physical issues. And although it hasn't been easy, Dr. Fox has been patient and sympathetic as I've worked through my issues and at least started on the road back to good health. And he is an easy going person so I didn't feel nervous in raising my problems or worries when meeting with him. I have always found his office staff to be very pleasant, polite, and easy to deal with. And his medical technicians in particular are just very nice people and go out of their way to put you at ease during blood draws and tests. One final thing I'd like to share, we recently had a late season snow storm hit the DC area and my appointment with Dr. Fox was scheduled for the morning of the storm. He called me---that's right, the doctor called me---to see if I wanted to change my appointment so as to avoid coming out in the storm. When is the last time you heard of a doctor personally handling his appointments to help patients deal with bad weather? Pretty unusual right, but I want to include that here just because I think it's a good indication of the dedicated physician that Dr. Fox really is. So if you're in need of a good doctor, I would recommend him without hesitation.

She provided recommendations based on a thorough analysis of my questionnaire and an visual assessment of my skin. The experience was highly customized and tailored to my needs. After the facial, my skin was smooth, clean, and totally glowing. It was such a relaxing facial. Review sent to the office manager…read more "After today's visit I was obligated to submit my review to you, Yelp, Google Reviews, ZocDoc and Better Business Bureau. Below are some highlights from my experience: - Initial appointment w/ Dr. Brown: Overall it was an ok appointment. I had to ask how much the treatment he had planned was going to be (this was my first time getting botox and filler). No before and after photos were taken (I requested for ones be taken of my nose so I could see the difference). Majority if not all practices take before and after pictures to show the patient what was done and to show the results (patient satisfaction). Additionally, I never signed a treatment plan- that is unheard of. I consider this a liability for your practice! o No f/u appointment was scheduled. I currently work in a hospital and have worked in a clinical office AND have friends who work in plastics and they were all surprised when a 2 week f/u appointment was not offered or scheduled. These appointments are scheduled to f/u with the patient and see how they feel about the results and if needed do "touch-ups" as a courtesy. o I had to request to schedule my next botox appointment (end of October) the reception did not even ask me or suggest it. This would have been a perfect opportunity for her to promote the $50 credit if I booked my future appointment today. Thank goodness I asked. - Second appointment with Jennifer: She is awesome! I purchased a new skin care regime with her guidance! 5 stars for her! - Third appointment (today): When I called to make this appointment (mind you this was the earliest date available) I had a conversation with the receptionist stating that I was looking for a touch-up since I was not satisfied and expected better results. I made it clear that a touch-up would be considered as courtesy visit- she agreed and said it our practice offers courtesy touch-up appointments. o During my visit, I had a conversation w/ Dr. Brown about my concerns and that I was expecting better results. He did not mention how many more units he was going to do or how many filler syringes he intended to use. I figured he would do this out of courtesy. Time to check out I was asked to pay ~$1,260.00 I was surprised and told the receptionist I thought this was a courtesy visit. She stated initial appointment as in July and the touch up timeframe had passed. I told her it is because this was his soonest appointment. She stated she spoke with you to see if you could do anything regarding my situation. Below are the requests I stated: I thought this appointment was considered a touch-up appointment. Despite no discounts being offer, I requested for the filler syringe to be discounted to $850 instead of $900 since this was technically my third syringe. Request denied by the manager. Despite not knowing how many units of botox were used, no discount was offered. Overall, horrible experience with the office. No photos nor treatment plan was provided. No discounts on the third appointment were offered. Most offices, due to the miscommunication, would provide me a discount or charge me at cost prices- neither was offered or granted. Please go ahead and cancel my future appointment, because I have no intentions on returning to this office nor do I plan on referring any friends or family here."

Let me start by saying my first visit with this doctor was amazing…read more However all interactions after this were not with the doctor and instead with office staff. --- I had to contact the office multiple times for lab and x ray results but dismissed this as a fluke --- For my follow up visit, where I needed to talk about my medication management and current pain levels I was denied access to care due to my need for ADA parking which was limited due to construction and damage in the parking garage. I tried for two weeks to make a complaint to corporate and they have not returned any of my calls to ensure that I have what is needed medically for my care. They couldn't even pretend to resolve it by saying if I pay this unfair fee I can be seen right away ---- I arrived 20 minutes early but was unable to locate handicap-accessible parking to fit my vehicle due to construction and blocked spaces in the nearby garages. While searching for parking, I called the office around 10:00 a.m. to inform them of my situation and ask whether I could still be seen by being worked in or did they want me to reschedule. I was transferred between three different call center representatives before finally connecting with someone. I have attached a photo I took today because I had to return to this same building to see another provider. The spots are still blocked off and not van accessible to allow for access for a person in a wheelchair like my son. By the time I found a parking spot at 10:20 am, I was told not to come in by the call center staff and that I would be charged a no-show fee, despite being on the phone with their call center for over 20 minutes trying to get help. At no point did I attempt to miss the appointment, I was actively trying to attend and communicate with the office because this is important for me to try to get a handle on my own health care. I explicitly asked them to put me through to the office and verify that I could not be seen. I was told no one answered the phone and also that they answered and said no... contradicting what the office manager later said. When the office manager, Jasmine Jackson, contacted me the following day, she stated that the office would have been able to see me had the call center communicated that I was waiting outside, but I was told not to come in by them even though I explicitly asked to be seen multiple times. Jasmine went further to blame me, suggesting that I should have parked in a lot a few blocks away behind a Tiffany's store. I am not familiar with the area, and I chose the two garages nearest the building and then street parking, because I was concerned about my ability to walk farther with my adult son, who has limited mobility and is difficult to push in a wheelchair, especially given my own back and extremity pain that limits my ablity to walk long distances. I also spoke with Kelly in the business office and Stacey in the call center, both of whom said they would follow up with me regarding this issue. Neither has contacted me as promised, demonstrating a continued lack of responsiveness from the office. I am concerned now that I have been abandoned for care because they are prioritizing this no show fee for an appointment I begged to attend as soon as I figured out how to safely get my son and I inside over my actual health status, knowing my medical condition impacts a vulnerable person who relies on my care.

How can one make critical decisions if they don't understand the underlying causes of a particular condition? My original doctor could not understand this concept and filtered me through like a chocolate on a conveyor belt assembly line with no ability to take responsibility for anything. As with most aspects of life, Dr. Albino's ability to perform well and also establish mutual respect and rapport with his patients is, imo, due to his love of his profession and well-being of his patients -- along with his willingness to continue to find solutions to any complication that arises. I've been through a lot of practices and Dr. A and all the members of his team (namely Kendy and Angel) whom I've interacted with, are above the rest . His skin care specialist, Martha, is spectacular, too.

I wanted a DIEP Flap and my surgical oncologist at Johns Hopkins said he was the best of the best. Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with breast cancer again a couple of weeks later during the final checks to clear me for surgery. Dr. Albino went above and beyond to ensure my comfort during treatment by removing my old implants and replacing them with new, smaller ones on my request followed by a DIEP Flap about a year later after I fully recovered. All I can say is that my quality of life changed exponentially. I have the most amazing, natural and soft breasts again! I look and feel amazing. I'm comfortable in my own body. That's a testament to a truly gifted surgeon who listens to and empathizes with his patients to ensure their happiness with the ultimate outcome. His skill is only exceeded by his compassion for his patients. He treated a dear friend of mine who lost her cancer battle. He made arrangements to see her outside of normal office hours to reduce her risk of getting exposed to COVID. When she passed, he and his staff mourned her loss with her family and friends. I can't recommend Dr. Albino and his staff strongly enough for superlative breast surgery and care!
