Everything is so new here... so spacious... with 12 feet high ceilings, large floor to ceiling windows... it is really good place to chill or even take a nap at one of their individual comfy armchair... Of course free WIFI access... good reliable and high speed and you never even get logged out ... and numerous outlets... And you can bring in a coffee/water/pop or whatever and you don't need to buy anything... and no one will give you mean looks even if you park yourself here for hours.. (uploading photos to yelp or writing reviews) Yes I am writing my 800th yelp reviews right now! Oh almost forget they do have good selections of books and DVD... I have not buy a copy of books for years.. I either put a hold and reserve them online for later pick up or I will just grab some good interesting read off the shelves... Not only I saved money and so much more environmentally friendly too.. Of course during school year, there will be a lot of high school students hanging out studying in groups... that do bring back memories......

Facilities includes a 6 lane leisure pool with a slide, Oak Ridges Moraine Eco Centre, a fitness and aerobic studio, a gymnasium and more. There are also various city sponsored programs held year round in the centre. We ended up coming here for one of the Moonlight Movies Night. The set up is perfect utilizing the nature amphitheatre like landscape at the back of the Centre. Watching a movie under the stars on a hot summer night is such a treat!

There are activity and program rooms for multi purposes but from what I have seen, it's mainly used for educational purposes. They have a large swimming pool area with two pools. One for children and the other for adults or the more advanced. The Oak Ridges Community Centre also has an aerobics centre, fitness centre and a gymnasium. It's a really nice community centre. One of the best that I have seen yet. I went there for a Volleyball tournament and probably pick up sports a couple of times. The floors are well maintained and they have relatively high ceilings which is great for certain sports. I would definitely recommend this facility as it is one of the most beautiful community centre that I have seen with a wide range of facilities to utilize. Happy 150th Birthday, Aurora!…read more On February 3, 2013, Aurora celebrates its 150th anniversary (sesquicentennial). The town did organize a special day of event in the Town Park where there was skating, horse carriage ride, free hot chocolate and pop corns and some other family type entertainment. It was a really nice afternoon out for the residents: young and old to get together for some fun! I have been to Aurora numerous time over the last 3 years. A lot of people might ask what's up there? Surprisingly there are tons of interesting events and businesses in Aurora that worth visit. Hopefully Aurora will keep it's small town charm as it is growing in a rapid pace. Interesting fact from Wiki: - Aurora was the childhood home of Lester B. Pearson, Prime Minister of Canada from 1963 to 1968, when his father, Rev. Edwin Pearson, was the Methodist minister. - And for Hockey Fan: Tie Domi, Norm Dennis, Hap Holmes (goalie that won 4 Stanley Cup!) and other NHL players - The Stronach family of Magna international is based here too!

The statue stands 14 feet high and is made almost entirely of granite and bronze is a figure to promote Richmond Hill's culture. Fitting that it has been erected in front of its shining center piece the Richmond Hill Performing Arts Centre (designed in the likeness of the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto). The bronze sculpture is of two intertwined dancers on top of the granite base of ascending piano keys and is the vision, mission and passion for the last two years of Richmond Hill Councillor Nick Papa. Designed by artist and designer William Ho and sculptor John Porretta the estimated cost of the statue (with funds provided exclusively by generous local businesses - no taxpayers dollars were spent) is approximately just shy of $200,000. Markham Go is situated on a very busy street and parking spaces are limited. If you parked across the street, you need to cross the road, and oh boy is it difficult lols. If you plan on getting off at this Go station, certain doors do not open (probably due to limited track space). Not sure what else to say other than to avoid at all costs lol.

Improvements over the years including the new parking area across the street and the newer vending machine (upgraded just in November 2013). I usually prefer broading the Go Bus/Train at Mount Joy which is just 5 minute North from here as the parking lot is bigger and I can guarantee a seat. FYI: It is located right across from LCBO, great for picking after some brooze on the way home.

There are plenty of seatings (sofas and seats) so you can just lounge around or you can use the private rooms if you want to have some privacy. There are good selections of current paperbacks and best sellers. Most of them are in great conditions and some of them brand news since the library is only 3 years old or so. I really enjoy spending a hour or 2 on my day off having a cup of coffee and lounging around using their wifi internet and read some magazines. Of course the best thing is the free wifi!!!

We went to the desk clerk and explained what happened, and we asked her when do the books get reshelved so we can find them and sign them out again. She took her time and went to the drop box area and looked through all the books and found the ones my daughter needed and signed them out for us. Wow, 5 stars for customer service experience !!! Since the pandemic started, I have spent many Wednesday evenings driving up to…read moreWhitchurch-Stouffville to get groceries, hit a drug store, and grab some takeout for dinner. The town also conjures up fond childhood memories. Years ago, I knew Stouffville for its flea market. As a kid, my parents and I would drive up from the Beaches on Saturdays to check out the flea market. We'd get everything from fruits and veggies from local vendors, to coils of kolbassa (I loved the samples), to whatever was hip at the time. I remember loving wayfarer sunglasses. My dad got me a pair with a matching cord to dangle them around my neck. To this day, I still love wayfarer sunglasses. I also went to Chinese school on Saturdays. It was interesting how I managed to study in the car going to the flea market, walk around the market, eat lunch in the car, and head into school. It explains a lot about my time management skills and enjoying eating in my car to this day. Sadly, this flea market closed for good in 2016. Before I joined Yelp, I spent a considerable amount of time eating around Whitchurch-Stouffville. I then stopped. I resurrected my visits last year. I love the combination of being in a small town that continues to thrive, and being able to shop at stores that you get in major cities, but without the craziness. I probably spend more time at the Winners and Staples here than anywhere, including Markham. I simply enjoy how friendly folks are. Then, there's the food. It's so much better than I recall a decade ago. Zeal Burgers. The Zen Hakka and Thai Cuisine. Shawarma Ville. St. Louis Bar and Grill. Plates & Bowls. I am still learning about what's around here, but I love the variety. The town does have some cool events. There's the Stouffville Strawberry Festival that happens around Canada Day. Last year, it was cancelled, but back in the day, it was fun seeing all things strawberry. From strawberry pancakes to strawberry beverages, you get it all. You also can take in live entertainment and fireworks. Ah, memories! Last year, the Stouffville Country Ribfest in August was on, but it was different. It was in a drive-thru format. Finally, I have fond memories of seeing classic cars around town in August. The car show ran yearly. It was also cancelled due to the pandemic last year. I enjoy spending time in Whitchurch-Stouffville. You get the contrast between the countryside and the newly developed urban areas. I enjoy the drive up from Markham. Considering that I don't commute to and from Mississauga for work these days, this drive north is relaxing to me and is much shorter! (121)

The thing is they are independently run and Service Ontario will not do anything about them. Just look at their reviews everywhere. Shame on them. Alarmingly, they do not wear masks. One of them will wear a plastic mouth cover (which is not a mask) and the other will stand behind her plastic wall without a mask. Especially with covid infection numbers going up, they are not a location you want to go to, in an indoor environment.
