I gotta say when I called looking for a rim for my sons Car they were very nice on the phone and very helpful. They had the part I needed and told me to "come on down" and get it and so I did on this miserable rainy day. Of course as we got closer it started to pour. Just what u want when going to a junk yard atmosphere and ambiance lol. Luckily we ran inside quickly to not get drenched and paid for the part and they went and got the part and pulled it for us. It's a little crowded where you pull in and try to find a space to park because cars are backing in and who tow trucks are here and there but all in all you can maneuver and do what you need to do to get the job done. At the end of the day I was happy they had the rim We needed and also threw the tire in for free which had nice tread on it. Thanks guys. You rocked Today more than you realized. read more

This is the second time I came here to get a rim (I'm very accident-prone, apparently) and overall, I had a great experience with them. I always make sure to call ahead to see if they have the part I need. They're very helpful and try to answer your questions over the phone so that you don't make an unnecessary trip. I called a few days in advanced about a bumper I found on car parts.com. All of the employees here were super helpful on finding exactly what I needed. I went yesterday and picked up the bumper and taillight. I didn't wait any longer than I had expected to covid. Once I picked the parts I needed, they drove the car up to the entrance on a tractor to be sure I was happy with the parts before taking it off. I paid and waited while they were taking the parts off. Two guys put it in my car and were very considerate of my other car- asking if I should put a beach towel I had over the seat so it wouldn't get my car dirty. The worst service and work ever do not take your car there I went there for a front axle they left the bolt loose which in turn went into my transmission the room my transmission and then that would not want to replace my transmission so at the end of all that I had to pay $650 for a transmission he paid the rest but then I got the car back and intentionally left the car with no oil in it and my front strut was left loose on purpose! Unbelievable I feel like I'm being robbed. I dropped my car off at Bruce's Towing after calling previously and getting on the schedule for a diagnosis of a problem I was having and a battery. the total was supposed to come to $110 it was supposed to take 2 days which stretched out to a week and then two after calling multiple times and getting very rude remarks like we normally only do big jobs I told them that was very rude to say to a customer give me my small job and I'll take it to somebody who appreciates my money . the guy says no I'm sorry I've had a long day and we worked hard on these other cars I'll get on your vehicle and I was really feeling bad for them because if they couldn't figure out what was wrong with the vehicle I didn't want him to think I wasn't going to pay them the $75 for the diagnosis still because I understand they put time and effort into figuring out what it is long story short or should I say long story long I got a call yesterday And they say your vehicle is done! I say okay I'll be down there and they tell me the bill is over $300!?! And i have them all on video stating I only asked for a diagnosis and a battery but saying "bottom line the work is done now so you have to pay or take us to court" ...smdh read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I called Bruce's to get a price on a rim for my car as I was told they were the only place in NJ to have the rim I was looking for on my older model car. The girl who answered the phone answered by saying, "hey"... I waited because I was almost positive she was talking to someone at the shop. Then she proceeded with, "hello?". I said hi I am calling for a price on a part for my car. She said, "a what?!?" and then I repeated myself and she asked me to hold on. I am usually a pretty patient person but after waiting for about 12 minutes I hung up. I will continue to look for my part elsewhere. After reading the reviews posted on here I realize I am probably saving myself a headache. Having someone with a little more "customer service" background to answer the phone would be a plus. read more

Be Careful what you buy from here! Guess I should have read reviews beforehand! I drove 1.5 Hours each way to pick up a part from what at first seemed like very nice helpful people . It wasn't until I made the hour and a half ride back home to install it just to find out it was defective. With all the fuses and relays installed you couldn't see what was lying underneath So i spent another 4 hours cleaning it and testing it doing everything i could to fix it and not have to call them or drive back there again. I had a little luck with it but couldn't get it working good enough to use it. From being in this business for a very long time and buying parts from alot of other businesses i understand about purchasing electrical parts and refunds or no refunds i should say ( in most cases) Next morning I call...... So last week we go buy a front end for my daughter's car. We get the front end which is cut in pieces back home and the guy who does body work says he won't do the job because of where the cut to the frame is. He proceeds to tell us that the car would be unsafe to drive. My daughter calls Bruce's towing and Salvage and they give her attitude. So today I proceed to call and the gentleman at the other end proceeds first to tell me about my daughter's attitude, 2nd tell me about the where he was suppose to cut the front end which I agree that's where he told me he was cutting it. 3rd as I proceed to explain to him that the guy who made the cut also made another cut he cuts me off and says no he didn't. Now I know I'm not crazy because I'm looking at the piece in front of me. He continues to argue and was a real Jerk. People don't spend your money with crooked companies like this one. They just stole $1,000.00 from a daughter who is trying to get ahead in life. Thank you Bruce for your crappy customer service and for robbing my daughter of $1,000.00 dollars. I'm not the type of person to write reviews of any kind but I have never been this angry with a place before. My car has been sitting at Bruce's now for over a month. At first I just needed a new computer for the car... after a week of not hearing from them I called to see what was going on. I called 3 times until I finally got any information. The computer took 2 weeks to receive and to be installed but the car still wasn't starting right. Next I'm told it's the timing chain and it wouldn't take long. I was told this before Christmas and we are almost into February and my car still is not done. I called many times (about 3 times a week) to only be told lies. "We'll have it done this week" or "it'll be done Monday or Tuesday ". Today I called after being almost promised it will be started and finished this week and the response I got this time is "as soon as we finish the altima we are working on now we will get started on your car if it's not done today it will be done monday" So over a MONTH later they haven't even touched my car. I'm disgusted. I hope this doesn't get to the point where I need authorities to step in. I recommend anyone to take their car elsewhere because who knows when you will get it back. read more
