Their pastries made daily in-house are simply irresistable, from fruit tarts, chocolate choux rolls to miniature pies, they're laden with lashings of cream. The extravagance of this kind of treat is certainly worth the extra pennies (around £2-3 each). Every single time there is a different pastry to try (or so it seems), along with cakes, sausage rolls (normal or spicy), chocolate, macrons (so many varieties - my favourite being salted caramel) and the most amazing different kinds of bread. Everything he sells is made the morning before the bakery opens and there is a limited amount. Once it's sold out its sold out! There are a few small tables and a sofa and it can get quite busy at the weekends. The guy who runs the place is very nice, as is all the staff. We went in to Patisserie Valerie and they were very welcoming saying they too were closing but were happy to serve us. The coffee was good italian style. What I liked they didn't rush us and I will definitely be going back. The cakes looked divine. The only criticism was that the comfy chairs were really worn could do with some new ones.
