Solid 3 stars for me. To be honest I'm still trying to find the *perfect* chiropodist in Edinburgh where my tootsie's look like newborn feet after a visit and this is a bit where this city lets me down (along with beauticians too - much better on the West Coast).
Shares premises with a dentists I think but ring the door bell and you'll be directed in. Good service though and I did like that I was told 1. I walk in a weird rounded way which means that my knee joints will be flexible (true - my knee cap is unstable) and 2. I may have one leg slightly shorter than the other (too complicated to get me lying down and properly measured this appointment) but my feet show different patterns of 'wear' as it was.
My feet were done - hard skin removed, nails cut but I would have probably liked them buffed more so they were softer as I was long overdue feet TLC. Clean office and sterilised tools and my chiropodist was nice and chatty so it was a pleasant visit. If I'm in Edinburgh needing another appointment then I'd return but if I plan properly, I'd probably go to my old chiropodist back West.
Note - don't wear jelly melissa's to a chiropodist appointment or at least say no to the lovely foot moisturiser if you are wearing them. It was nearly a disaster as I couldn't stop my feet sliding in my (snug) new mel's and thought I'd end up breaking bones. To be fair, the chiropodist questioned me on wanting the cream wearing said shoes, but it is the lovely minty foot moisturiser and the foot rub at the end is SO good...
Ps. Price I think was about £25 but it was a couple of months ago... read more
