Very disappointed in my son's experience with this practice. Not soon after being taken back for his first appointment, Dr. Albert came out and indicated that he needed to be scheduled for emergency dental rehabilitation surgery under general anesthesia at Lurie. We agreed, but it was a huge ordeal. He ended up being under for over 2 hours and it was very traumatic. I feel like operative dentistry in the hospital provides a much higher reimbursement (plus out-of-pocket) so there's a huge incentive to push it. I wasn't thrilled and I hope people do their due diligence. read more

I can't say enough good things about our experience at this dental office. They have been consistently kind, patient, and compassionate with both of my children at every visit. As a parent of two children with special needs, it means the world to me knowing they are in such capable and caring hands. At our most recent visit, my son was so comfortable that he happily allowed them to clean his teeth--something that hasn't always been easy in the past. My daughter also did incredibly well. The staff truly take the time to ensure a thorough checkup and cleaning, while also making sure my children feel safe and supported. I was a dental assistant for many years in Naperville Il. My daughter took her children to Brush. My grandson had such a horrible experience it was hard to get him to go to a dentist. If I choose a pediatric dentistry facility, I'm expecting them to know how to deal with kids. My six year old daughter is a very brave and cooperative child. A negative reinforcement is never appropiate, especially when the child is about to have a tooth removed. I am baffled about all the good reviews this place have. They asked me to have a GA (general anesthesia) to complete the work. If I wanted to put my child to sleep to get it all done in one shot I wouldn't have choose a pediatric dentist!! These people are just incompetent. I took my child back to Treasured Smile, in Frankfort, and yes, it's a little bit of a drive, but worth my kid smile. read more

This place is really good. We had been to 2 other places prior to this one. My son struggles with the normal x-ray process as it's painful for him. We came to Brush with prior x-ray pics and they were able to use these vs. requiring new ones to diagnose his cavities. Also, they said next time he needs x-rays we could look to so the panoramic ones vs bitewing ones. I just really appreciated them talking through possible options with us. read more

Today I met Dr. Rizzo for the first time to exam my 6 years old son. After couple Xrays and check up she talked to me about all the treatments my son needs to have done. The most important to her was to put the crown. I expressed to her that I dont have a good experience with my sons prior dentist where Dr focused to the most expensive procedure and didnt do what my son needed to have done first. Then I told her I want her to fix all my sons teeth but I dont want him to get the crown! She basically said I should get a second opinion but she wont treat my son if I dont do the crown. In other words, if you wont let me to do the crow find yourself a new dentist. I couldn't believe what I was hearing! Yes, she is a doctor and definitely more educated then me but at the end of the day its my decision and my money so I can choose what I want her to do! I will never return to this doctor. read more

My 6 yo daughter had a great experience at Brush last week! The hygienist was wonderful and gentle. I wasn't allowed back due to the pandemic and wasn't sure how my daughter would handle that. The hygienist was so reassuring and I was so pleased that it all went so smoothly. Best of all, my daughter walked back into the waiting room with such pride for being so independent!! I cannot give Brush enough praise! We've been taking our kids here for many years and it's such a fantastic place. Since when are the kids excited to go to the dentist?! But that's not why I'm writing this review. I'm writing because Dr. Albert helped identify an issue with my son's adenoids. She recommended we check with our pediatrician. Her diagnosis was spot on. Our son has since them removed and so many problems he had are resolved now. His breathing is clearer, his constant ruby nose and snoring issues are gone, he sleeps better, etc. Thank you Dr. Albert! It is the complete package for GREAT dental care, and our family gives the highest possible recommendation to any other family with kids of all ages and care needs. Our family had a tremendous experience of dental care for our three children. To be quite honest, it was the best dental or health care experience we have ever had across-the-board. Being new to Chicagoland from an out-of-state move and having a 13 year old, 11 year old and 5 year old in need of dental care, Brush Pediatric Dentistry was the best place we could possibly be for our children's needs. Upon discovering this clinic on the web, we were very impressed by the excellent communication on their website that made our first visit extremely comfortable. Not to mention, we were able to fill out our pre-visit paperwork efficiently and easily through their online service from the website. The routine care visits for two of our kids were done with professionalism, kindness, compassion and skill. Unfortunately, our other child and the youngest at age 5 years, had significant dental problems that needed serious attention. For that reason, we believed it was a God-send that we were at this practice and under the care of Dr. Albert and the staff team. Our young boy, who is quite strong-willed and sensitive to sensory situations, had the need for several fillings and crowns. It was a substantial care plan that was legitimate, and we were very well informed of the issues he was facing in his teeth. We were provided for very well in being able to access a care plan for helping us with the unexpected costs. And as far as the treatment over the course of multiple visits, our son was treated exceptionally well emotionally and medically. It was a miracle that he was able to go through all of the visits with super success. Dr. Albert is a very talented dentist and an exceptional person. In the location where we previously lived, we were actually family friends with 3 outstanding dentists who were the best in the area. We got to learn what makes for a great dentist and practice. Dr. Albert is the real deal, and so is her staff team. They are the most professional, enthusiastic, personal and kind team of dental professionals you could possibly ask for. Take advantage of this great place in Chicagoland. It's worth the drive no matter how far away from the Hinsdale area you might live. 1st impressions are important. 2 stars ONLY because of the 3 kinder women and the office IS clean/"inviting" esthetically and the "ASAP list" is helpful. That said 3 out of 3 less then thrilling experiences will have me seeking another office. The over all tone and bedside manner (or lack there of) is NOT my cup of tea. Due to length restrictions of yelp- a condensed explanation: At the very start of first ever appointment, I made it known my child was nervous, anxious and gags easily (and referenced the referral for the gas). Attempting to get X-rays was not going well and a 2nd woman is called in to help. Still having issues of nerves, this new woman who is visually and audibly annoyed then makes the statement "this is the easy way, if you can't do it, we will have to do it the hard way." I found that threatening. With a new 2nd person and several minutes xrays achieved and end with a 3 appointment treatment plan. We get to the 2nd appointment and the owner of the practice comes in, meets my child for the 1st time and after about 4 seconds makes reference to our 1st appointment and makes the excuse "maybe she was having an off day" with the most insincere tone, because "she's been with us for a while" and then out of the room tells me she wants to change the order of how the work is done, against and "with respect to her experience" I said I wanted to move forward how it was originally laid out. When we get back into the room with a very "huff" undertone she states to the assistant "we are doing the original work." The gas is turned on and the nerves were worked up, but over all the work was completed and "did great." Got an email saying appointments opened up before thanksgiving so I requested to move the next set of work that needed to be done and it was able to happen, wonderful. We arrive, things are fine- the woman who calls us back is the best I've come in contact with- took her time to show and explain things, talked and "warmed up" my kid. The owner of the practice comes in, gas is on, here comes the needle into the gums and my child gets upset,moves, and cries, to which this woman tells my son "stop crying, you have to be still you can hurt yourself (FAIR STATEMENT) and scare the other kids" .... EXCUSE ME?!? We are in a room with a closed door away from the row of open chairs and my child should not have to hide his feelings to spare another kids nerves. After that, I'm hoping without thinking the very "over it, tone and faces" are made, another woman (who was fine) came in to hold my kid down-once all is said and done the woman that owns the practice asks me if I was recording?!?! I replied what I was doing confused "just texting and playing a game on my phone" (inner voice, to keep quiet as requested and to not try to calm my child) All that said there was one more apt we were suppose to have, I canceled- I got the xrays to take to our regular office, if need gas again will find another pediatric office because the rest of The day I was asked "why was the lady mad at me?" "and explaining that she wanted to finish the work quickly and he wasn't being "still like a statue" he said "she hates me, Because they were hurting me" and asked to never go back, and I won't make him. Unfortunately the kind nature of the women who's names I can't recall doesn't compensate for the over all experience with the practice and the owner of it. Also the seeming need of the office to try and turn and disprove the person/parents negative perception of their experience (it's a review- meaning personal opinion) that I've found online - is a big turn off as well. they are not the right office for everyone simple as that. AFTER These experiences I've talked with some local parents and heard a handful of similar feelings towards the office, and have been referred to a few other offices that are closer with positive reviews from both parents and their children. read more

I took my 3 year old here for his first dental check up since my pediatrician was big on not taking kids to the dentist until they were old enough to sit and listen so they didn't have a traumatic experience. Long story shortened, I was told he had several cavities that needed to be filled And the only way to accomplish this at this age was to put him under for a dental operation. After being told that it was safest and most cost effective to do this at their office with their anesthesiologist and filling out the appropriate paper to ensure it was covered by insurance, we moved ahead with the procedure. The procedure was a horrible experience. Having to put him under was a scaring and painful experience alone, then the power in the building went out. I was told by the dentist if the power didn't come back in 15 mins they would have to wake him up and come back and do it over. Turns out the anesthesiologist was the only one with a back up generator, something I would have thought was mandatory to do dental surgeries in house... After the dentist finished filling my kids cavities probably half assed in the dark with iPhone lights, they returned wanting me to give them praise instead of having a mental breakdown that was building up due to the situation. Worst of all is that we were told and filled out all the necessary paperwork to have the anesthesiologists work pre approved by insurance, to find out that they never filled the paperwork like they said. We fronted the $1800 bill like their policy required to be denied bc they were out of network when they to us they were in our network. This was the anesthesiologist required by our dentist. We have appealed insurance twice and been denied. Overall every aspect of this experience was horrendous. read more

We absolutely love Brush! In fact, as former Chicago residents we still travel back to Chicago for Dr Albert to treat our 3 children who have been her patients for over 7 years. She has been nothing but kind and genuine and provided top notch care. Her ability to distract my son with fun banter during a difficult and long procedure was second to none. She is so relatable as a mom and very down to earth. Unfortunately we had a dental emergency and had to visit a local practice where we moved. It was so comforting when the dentist commented on how "beautiful" my children's dental work looked! Her staff is so sweet and incredible with children. The front desk gals are so helpful and always fit us right in! Payments have always been seamless and straightforward.
