We were driving 6 hours from Buffalo back to Pa and was looking for a place in Williamsport to get ice cream. I went on Yelp to look up options and I read reviews to help decide. There was another place that had 14 reviews and 5.0 rating and Bruster's though had more reviews their rating was lower. We decided to go because the reviews did mention the ice cream was good. The did not get very favorable reviews on customer service and that's consistent. The ice cream was good but a bit soft. It was a hot 90 degree day so it is hard to keep all flavors from being mushy. There is not a public restroom which one of the workers did share with me when I was going to use the bathroom. She did allow me to use it but if you are traveling and looking to take care of all your wants and needs you might keep that in mind. If you are ever in Pa and want a friendly, clean and bathroom accessible place to go in a small town that has outstanding ice cream and outstanding ice cream go to Heisler's Coverleaf Dairy. Well, I'm a little conflicted on this place. First the good- the ice cream was very good. Went with a few people and everyone got something different and it all looked great. Portions were good and being a big big big, ice cream person I felt the prices were reasonable. However, I'm also a big customer service kinda guy. I don't expect much, but if you can't smile, greet us and be patient, then you're either having a bad day or this jobs not for you. Especially if you're an adult over 40. You should know that. The tip jar even had a sign saying if our service was exceptional then please tip. Well, it wasn't even good let alone exceptional. I've never been stressed out ordering ice cream before. We all felt that way after I brought it up, just to make sure it wasn't just me. I will go back probably but if I find another option I'll take it instead. I don't know. I'll try it one more time just because the ice cream really was good. We'll see. The kids in summer months are usually pretty fun to deal with. Needs more tables outside though. read more

I stopped here the other night after a visit to the dog park. I ordered 2 scoops of their cheese cake ice cream in a waffle cone. I was a little surprised at their price, as my ice cream came in at around 4 dollars. However, the ice cream was definitely the best I've had in recent memory, and among the best I've had ever. It was very creamy, and the ice cream had a delicious cheese cake flavoring throughout. Then there were awesome chunks of gram cracker crust to add a different texture and flavor to your bites. The waffle cone was also very good, though near the end the melted ice cream was leaking through the cone. One of the best things about the store though, if you have a dog they give you a free scoop of vanilla ice cream with tiny little bones in a small cup. It was a little small for my golden retriever, but it was very nice. My dog enjoyed it and I liked the extra value (making up for the high prices) along with not having to share my cone. :) The only thing is, I'm disappointed that I only found out how good this place is near the end of summer. read more

OMG! This is hands down the best ice cream stand I have ever been to! Ice cream was perfect consistency, creamy with a home made taste. I tried the toasted coconut in a hot fudge sundae. The sundae was in a fresh waffle bowl loaded with ice cream, hot fudge, real whipped cream and a cherry. Twice the size of a Dairy Queen sundae and only $3.99. The service was excellent. This ice cream shop opened couple years ago. I have to say their ice cream is delicious, very creamy and smooth. Many flavor to choose from, I like their birthday cake flavor a lot. Their ice cream cake is very good too, I had a cherry ice cream cake one time, it just beat DQ's ice cream cake. But the ice cream here is kind of pricey, not like some other local ice cream shop, 2 dollars you get a huge regular size ice cream, but here, you pay almost 3 dollars, but you just get a small size one that is really small, it's almost as small as other shop's baby cone. I am not very happy with their portion, for the price I pay, now I buy a half gallon ice cream in grocery store instead, they are good too. read more

We visit regularly during the summer and occasionally during the winter when the weather allows for eating ice cream. They are always bringing out new flavors (I love the Key Lime). And we have signed up for emails - every email contains a coupon, which we use. I also keep a gift card in my pocketbook just in case the ice cream budget runs short. What we especially love is that we can bring our mini-doxie and she gets a free "doggy" sundae every time! Visited this establishment this past Sunday as my husband had gone without me a number of times and wouldn't stop raving about it..so I went just to shut him up..such is marriage :) He was right.
