Love this store. It had the most appropriate and affordable broken bow shirts and sweaters. The safe was extremely kind and helpful. There's a dressing room to try in clothing to make sure it fits. This is THE place to stop for souvenirs, toys, camping gear, shoes, hats, candy, sunglasses, firewood, blankets, lighters, water rafts, marshmallow sticks, hiking sticks, bandaids, frying pan, and any other thing you think you might need. Let's say you're driving through Hochatown and you think "Hey, I think I wanna stay the night and camp in a tent." But you, in fact, don't have your tent. Go to Bruton's. Similar places in little tourist trap towns have every opportunity to price gouge. You'd have to otherwise go find a Walmart and hope for the best. But I was shocked to see their prices were very fair. As in, I would shop there just to shop, and not necessarily to go find lighter fluid for my grill because they're the only place around. A former employee recommended this store to me to find a water thermos to take on my kayaking trip. I did not see a sign on the door that said no dogs, and I have been welcomed with my dog in Broken Bow, Oklahoma in a candy store, a grocery store and a clothing store. When I stepped into the store, the employee who saw me first said there were no dogs allowed. I did not take one step further into the store because right in front of me was exactly what I needed. There were several thermal bottles to select from so I was just standing there looking, and evidently the manager was called to the door. She very rudely said. Ma'am, you need to leave. No dogs are allowed in the store. I explained that I was not stepping further into the store, and that what I needed was right in front of me and I wanted to purchase it, but she said you need to leave now. I was very disappointed in the rudeness shown to me. There was only one young man who was not rude and was trying to help me. My dog sensed the tension and started barking, so I left, never to return. read more

In town for the weekend, we drove by Bruton's several times on our way to other activities. I can actually say that this place has everything that anyone with an interest in outdoor activities would need. There are toys, clothing, supplies for the hunter and the fisherman, guns for the collector---I really can't name it all. There seems to be a problem with their website, because when you try to access it, you are taken to the Blue Beaver Cabin rental site. One of the of the best sporting goods stores I've ever been in. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Love this place.

We stopped by after exploring the State Park because we got the itch to try Trout Fishing. They had a wonderful selection of options for all options of fishing for the area. They also seemed to have great selections for hunting, camping and lake activities too! They are DOG FRIENDLY so no need to take the pup home before stopping by. I am so glad we found this place and ended up having a great fishing experience. read more
