By the time the power was back up on photo day my session had already come to pass so here I am ripping and running trying to pick up the pieces and figure something out. By this time it was approx 5PM I had made several phones calls and couldn't get anyone to take us. I stumbled across this guy on google and he was very professional, understanding, and quick to respond to Justin's and my needs as to how our day went and what we were aiming to do in such short notice and at the drop of a dime. This man met us an hour later at our location, did a 2 hour unplanned session, he was very patient, had all of his things together, organized, professional, funny, very friendly, outgoing,and helpful. He made the photoshoot completely about us and what we wanted to do and had great pointers on helping us achieve the best photos we could have possibly have ever captured. Out of all the things we came into that day the moments that were spent with him definitely touched us and made us so much more appreciative of the little things and the small people that play big parts in something that was so important and close to our hearts. We can never thank him enough for what he's done for us but the least I could do as a human being is leave an heartfelt review on the services he provided us and brag on him as an individual and home quickly he came through for us. He literally rushed to our aid. His rates are very responsible, he's dependable, and flexible. I'll help you out with gusto, just as so many have helped me as I got started on my own journey. Being on point on your self marketing, especially when you are non-represented, is non-negotiable. Failing to be professional with what casting directors demand is a roadblock. Submissions are "make or break" power moves. THE ODDS ARE AGAINST the apex storybook discovery tales of rarities like JLAW, Michele Pfeiffer, Charlize Theron etc. so if you expect that to be your way in...it's not reality. I get cast and work in these markets: NYC (Netflix movies), Atlanta (Marvel/ABC), and Mid-Atlantic (Apple TV). I am new to the business (three years in) but I have been building a resume over time and there is no way I am going to compromise because I take my career seriously. There is no slack given in a highly competitive industry with a dearth of roles and a surplus of talent. SO...if you want to crack the code, get seen, get call backs, get booked then there is no better photographer for any amount of money than BK Rose and Kat is my Queen. I get work in commercials, major motion pictures, network tv shows because of her. Fact! Every single person I ask that plays a role in getting cast (when I am lucky enough to get employment) has singled out my headshots as what is working for me to get my foot in the door. She had some beautiful options but I ended up going with a dress of my own. Kat is truly a child/baby whisperer and was able to soothe my 3 week old to get her to cooperate for pictures and got my shy toddler to smile for photos! We received our pictures within 2 days of our photoshoot and they are nothing short of incredible. We have gotten so many compliments on how beautiful and stunning they look.
