The first gentleman I encountered was kind of helpful...but could not figure out a solution to my problem. Then, the older gentleman who assumed was the manager, tried to assist me. He would not stop telling me that my iPhone 4 took terrible pictures and that his three-year-old Blackberry took better photos than I could. He also insisted that I opened the photo is SOME application in order to rename it. He kept saying I "dumbed" the picture down doing this (which I didn't) and he was using all sorts of words that did not matter to me since I am not a photographer. He tried to sell me a canvas of the picture or a mosaic print. All I wanted was a flipping 4X6 photo that didn't look pixilated. He couldn't help me at all and made me feel terrible for not knowing anything he was talking about--what do I care how I took the picture or what program application I used on my phone to edit it. Seriously. I will never go here ever again. I suggest you find some local photo shop where you can take your business.

I have explored all the options. I found Michaels has the best selection of art cases in the bead aisle. There is a plastic two-sided container with handles which opens flat to see all the paints that I love. The paint brush selection, though, is pitiful. AC Moore was more crowded and uninspiring in materials. Although I love dickblick.com, there is a minimum order and delay in getting supplies. There is no one to ask. I had a special mod podge project to collage some porous houseplant pots, and then discovered that the mod podge doesn't protect the collage from water damage. Well, I wanted some fine artists supplies: unisom and schminke pastels, dark and light, winsor and newton or Williamsburg fine artists grade oil paint, workable fixative, and better paintbrushes. It cost too much, but the salesperson was able to answer my questions in detail and direct me to the correct items. Worth every penny.

Now that life is finally back-we can venture out and play. This gallery is warm, inviting, and full of electric energy. I visited this weekend and their two shows are: First Nation Australia Laura Josephine Snyder Second Street Gallery has introduced me to Australian art and culture, for which, I'm grateful. They may be picky on what they will take on trade in but I value that as someone who likes to see some of the rarer items for sale. I truly don't know how they make the business work. You can go in here and look at there prices and a vast majority of the time it's cheaper than eBay. No need to price check/match. Plus you get there honesty that the games have been tested. The owners are some of the friendliest I have met in all of my reviews. Down to earth, nice, and willing to hold a conversation with you on about anything.
