Accessible by train! Yet it's actually on a very quiet street with lovely views from every room. It was blissfully quiet here and the hosts are real dears. They'll recommend walks or hikes nearby, tell you how to do it the easy way, and they make a tasty breakfast. (Say yes to the local bacon)
There are plenty of spots to hang out in the house besides your room, if you find yourself needing to wait out a spot of rain.
Plus, it's very eco-friendly! They have a greywater system for the garden, they'd just had 21 days of heating the water for the house with solar &/or wood. Fairtrade & local are their monikers too. But they don't beat you over the head with it, you have to ask to find out that's what they do.
I think this a lovely part of Snowdonia to visit, because it's not as well known. But you can hike for seven miles out behind the house before you hit another house, and you won't find super-busy trails full of other hikers. Big bonus in my book. read more
