Update: I hesitate to even share, but I probably won't be returning to this location. Don't get me wrong the food was enjoyable, but less than two hours post meal I was struck in the worst way with abdominal discomfort. My daughter's and I are frequent customers at this location. You can't beat the friendly staff, especially Tyler who basically remembers my daughters orders and asks if he should start making it before I even place my order. I always get a Taco Salad in a shell and add whatever ingredients I want. Everything is visible, you can see its clean AND fresh. We've never been disappointed BUT I'm sure if we were and let them know they'd make it right. It's that kind of place. Just moved to Jackson and this has been my dinner spot every night of the week! I get a nice fat burrito with chicken, lettuce, beans, cheese and some spicy mango sauce. Let me first start off by saying that my girlfriend and I were visiting from New York. This place was a lot better than the shitty make-shift deli/terrible food that was there before. Pros: -We both got the Nachos which were extremely filling after loading on every topping imaginable. -staff was friendly. -service was quick. Cons: -sour cream was in a ketchup bottle. -guacamole was squeezed out of a plastic bag. -you could tell everything was canned and not fresh. Overall it was a good place for the price and one of the better options due to the lack of food options in the area. Bubbakoos is the perfect place to get fresh food quickly! I don't know what these previous reviewers are talking about, this place uses the freshest ingredients and is DEFINITELY better than Chipotle. I'm a sucker for the student special (only $6) for chips, soda, and two hard or soft tacos. My parents love their burritos! I was originally a patron of the Point Pleasant location, which I still frequent when I'm in that area, but this Jackson location had made it so easy to feed my addiction! Also, another tip for those who commented on the guacamole being in a plastic bag... That's made fresh everyday, and they only put it in there for convenience while serving! Like I said, I'm a well know face at this place, I've become really familiar with their processes which make me even more confident when I give this place five stars! read more

The Bubbakoos Bayville location has been going downhill for a while. After waiting inside for over 10 minutes for them to complete one order i was told it would be a while before i could be helped because they had to complete door dash orders. They had five employees in the store (one washing dishes, one behind the register, one walking around doing nothing, one on the grill and the one who should of been helping me). After becoming agitated and threating to walk out the one who was going to start doing door dash orders reluctantly worked on my order. After telling her what i was planning on ordering she seemed lost and confused. i had to reemphasize my order at least three times. The one walking around aimlessly repeated my order back to me only to not relay it to the one who was on the grill. Well after 2 tries and 10 minutes later my order was finally done. I will never set foot in this store again. Which is pretty sad because it used to be run very well and i have patronized it on numerous occasions. read more

The food is OK but the customer service is absolutely terrible . Whe. I first came in it wasn't even busy and it took 10 mins for one of the girls to even acknowledge me . The girls who work there are super rude over the phone and in person. One of the blonde females who work there got an attitude with me over the fact that I asked her if she remember to put cheese in my bowl ( which she didn't) . Just dropped into to Jackson's Bubbakoos Burrito's and had sweet chili shrimp soft taco's for the first time, and hubby had a sweet chili crispy chicken bowl. Both were amazing! Joe and JT were efficiently handling the lunch crowd as they greeted both newbies and regulars warmly. I like Bubbakoos because always seem to be adding new things to the menu. You can try something different or stick with your favorites, and their food is different from Chipotle's or Surf Taco, so it's not "just another TexMex place". Usually love Bubbakoos, but tonight I ordered online for delivery on the chow now site and after waiting an hour I found out they had canceled my order. By this time the store was already closing so I could not get any food. I understand their reasoning for canceling my order but they didn't notify me in any way. If they would have called I would have picked up the order but instead they canceled it and had me looking for other options to eat late on a Sunday night. I think people are hard on bubbakoos for no reason. True chipotle fan boys and girls will stay true. Bubbs is an easy grab and go. Tastes good 90% of the time. I ate here 3 times in 1 week when visiting my family. They have the nicest staff at any food place I've ever been to- that alone makes me happy to spend my money here. This place is definitely awful. My wife got food poisoning eating shrimp there. My steak burrito was not hibachi style flavor, rather the steak had the aftertaste of shrimp. I'll never understand who is writing these negative reviews man. People are on here saying nothing is fresh, but you can see right in to the kitchen and watch them cook your chicken... FRESH! Everything is always fresh, hot and delicious. The vibe is fantastic and the employees are genuinely nice. While they are trying to be efficient to control the volume, they will stop to talk to you if you have something to say. Which is far different from chipotle, where you can't open your mouth before they pass you along and start the next persons order. And the manager here is the freakin man. The food was good but the guy in the back cooking the "made to order" meats for my families burritos was handling the raw uncooked food with out gloves and would wipe his hands on his t-shrt between orders with out washing his hands. I'm hoping this isn't routine operating standards. My 9 year old son wasn't sure what he wanted so they made a kids burrito that was half the size but charged me full price, when I questioned it they replied with "well we added extra meat". I can't see how half an ice cream scoop of chop meat could cost $4. The only way i'll be going back will be when I have a serious hankering for a dirty burrito and to be ripped off. read more

I love Mexican. I love tacos - burritos - guacamole- chips- all of it. I really enjoy Bubbakoos. I've tried the buffalo shrimp burrito before, which was stuffed and really good. I mostly I order the tacos with pork or chicken. The pork is delicious- I could eat this everyday. Portions of guacamole are small- I always order two & I wish it was fresh, but I still order two and I still finish it all. read more

Upon walking in I was greeted by just about ever person that worked there while a smile and a hello. This was my first time at bubbakoo's and after looking at the menus for a little bit the person asked if this was my first time here then helped with their menus which is pretty straight forward to begin with. I got a bowl which had rice beans chorizo and a couple other things on there. Overall I was impressed with their staff and how friendly they were but the food was very average. Chipotle's food is better but you will get a smile and a friendly hello at bubbakoo's. read more
