We had been going here for years. Food has always been good. Time before last waiter was very rude. This time we waited 2 hrs for food. We were a party of eight. Four were elderly. Two of the elders had to get up and leave. When we questioned the manager she too, became abrasive. There's a friendly atmosphere that will equally suit families as it does purveyors of the brewery that's a few storefronts down. Service is also accommodating and appreciative. The sauce options for the food itself can get to a solid level of spice, which I enjoy having the option of what I'd call an 8/10 spice level. Even Reyna's takeout, namely the torta, includes a solid amount of food with a side of accompaniments, fries, and an entire bag of tortilla chips and salsa. Then the cheesecake is decidedly better than average, crafted with passion as well. I can tell that they take pride in their space when I saw how meticulously the friendly employee cleaned the storefront's glass at the end of the night. We have been long time fans of this local gem, but we recently used them to cater a party and they once again exceeded our expectations. The customer service and planning process was flawless with the help of Chris who is the absolute best! We had a build your own taco bar with steak and chorizo (the best we've ever had) and all the fixings. We also got mini chicken chimichangas off of Chris's recommendation, and she was definitely right they were a hit! Everyone at our party pulled us aside to rave about all the food. I can't recommend Reyna's enough whether it be for dinner with family/friends or to cater you next event...their food is unmatched and they are truly the best people! read more

Sorry. Just average. Yes better than chili's or such. We were told service might be slow because food is prepared to order and we had noticed the large sign about labor shortage. Totally understandable. We were quickly seated. Told again food might take a little while longer. Friend said perfectly fine knowing that the food would be freshly prepared and that would be good. So the soup order might've been off, no big deal. When the food came my friends dish was less than luke warm inside and the side rice was also less than luke warm. My quesadilla was satisfactory not hot though. I can understand that staffing might be short our blond waitress was very sweet. The person running things and tending to tables as well looked like she was working as briskly she could. However a couple things The telephone tucked away in her busom while delivering food to the tables was a bit much when it almost looked like it was going to slip out. Another time she had phone tucked to ear while delivering to a table, with one dish spilling a bit on the floor and then I noticed it spilled on the woman's arm as she placed the food down. The woman later then noticed the stain on her sweater. Tip. Tell the caller to hold, put food down and then deliver food. Bill had credit card fee charge added to the bill after being swiped. We weren't aware there's be an additional fee for card use. So we asked for the fee removed and we'll pay cash. Woman running things said well the charge fee is on their website and on the door so we should have seen it. How about putting it on the menu or table. I get that they may need to pass the fee to the customer but the attitude about not seeing the sign or website was not called for. So on the door on way out we saw the teeny sign. (Pic attached) Like i have to read all the signs before entering ? They must've noticed me looking at it because on way to the car a server came out to look at the door as well. Also they mention a cash discount. Didn't see it added. Anyway just was underwhelmed by it. All about supporting restaurants, they seem to be doing fine between tables and take out. A weekly go to for us! Reservations are a must any day of the week. Friendly service. It's "slow" because everything is actually made to order. People aren't used to waiting these days because everything is microwaved at other restaurants. Highly recommend the tamales with chipotle sauce, Reyna's quesadillas or any of the tacos! I called for a pickup order on Cinco de Mayo fully expecting the person on the phone to say it'll take 2 hours, but they told me the usual 30-40 minutes to my pleasent surprise. So I showed up 40 minutes later and was told it was waiting to be boxed and will be out in 10-15 mins. That was around 5:30. Several times I popped back in asking for an update and was told again 10 mins, they're just boxing it up now. After about 1.5 hours I asked has my food been sitting for over an hour and then the server changed her story to it being a miscommunication error. Eventually they started ignoring my asking for updates and starting walking as quickly as possible right past me like I wasn't there (I'm 6'7" tall and pretty hard to miss). I finally went up to the counter and asked for a refund sometime after 7:30pm after waiting 2 hours, but then somehow the woman at the counter reached around into the kitchen door and there was my food finally ready right as I asked for a cancellation. I asked how long had it sat there and I was told it had just come out. I had no way to confirm or deny this though the containers were still warm (just not hot). Most people around me were shocked how long I had been there for a pickup order and there was some cheering and applause for when I finally got my food. If they had just told me the food wouldn't be ready to pickup for 2 hours I would've been fine with this. I would've comfortably stayed at home during that time and allowed the restaurant to catch up. But that's not what they told me and they had a few opportunities to tell me in store later that they were sorry but it looks like it'll be an hour or so, can you come back later or would you like to cancel your order... but instead I only kept hearing only "10-15mins more" for hours. The food here today was as always really good especially the rice balls, pineapple steak quesadilla, and they also make great fajitas. However this was the 3rd strike for me and I'll have to go on living without these favorites because I will not be coming back. FYI, the first 2 strikes were a very long few hours delivery wait on a normal non holiday day (I stopped using their delivery as a result) and then another incident with hair in one of the dishes. There were also some other mishaps with the place as well and I've just finally run out of enough forgiveness to come back again. read more

Salsa was very good, but my chicken enchiladas were bland, full of onions and carrots and topped with a LOT of lettuce as if to hide them. Beans were rather thin. The staff was attentive, friendly and fast. Every table started off with chips and salsa. The chips were nice and warm. The salsa was so fresh! We started with coconut shrimp - these were nice and crispy, the batter was delicious and the shrimp were cooked properly. I really enjoyed the green sauce that it came with. It wasn't spicy but added a nice level of flavor. For lunch I ordered the pork tacos with the corn tortillas. These was very good!
