This is your basic bubble tea option located in the food court. It reminds me of what bubble tea was last decade - nothing super fancy. They have all the essential flavours available to order and prices are decent.

I had a coffee milk tea with bubbles and it was fantastic. It was the perfect treat before going to see Annabelle which my kids got so scared after 30 minutes so we had to leave. Does anyone know the ending? Is she still out there?

I didn't even realize this place was new until I noticed the words said "Bubble King" instead of "Sammi's" which is what used to be in the spot. Looks like the sign was the only thing they changed. Parking is free under Tinseltown for a few hours. Today they had a $4 avocado bubble tea special. Even though I went in with no expectations, this one was pretty weird. After letting my friends try as well, one of them (who was quite the diplomat) said that it would "not be [his] first choice". The good news is that the food court is pretty empty, so you can easily host a group of 100 here. Maybe the other drinks are better. Who knows.

Bubble King Tea House. I was craving something to quench my thirst after walking around and freezing my butt off outside. We stumbled randomly into the International Village Mall, which has quite the random assortment of stores. Head upstairs to the second floor where you'll see a decent amount of food options. A few actually looked promising, specifically Canra Srilankan Plus, sadly, we were too stuffed to try anything. Let's keep this short and sweet. The options are pretty standard and price is average. What I found hilarious is the mock, plasticky bubble tea drinks in the corner. And if you break them, it'll cost you big time. Gheeeettttto. - Strawberry bubble tea with lychee pieces ($4.25 +$0.75 extra) - you won't be blown away but for what it's worth, it was decent. I wouldn't go out of my way to try this BBT spot but if you're in the area/seeing a movie, then maybe. Only one person manning the front - service is meh. Not the friendliest people, let's just say that. Cash only!

I just got an almond milk tea and it was so sweet it was undrinkable. I waited for the ice to melt and it was still unbearable. I think it's pretty hard to make a bad drink but somehow they managed to do so by dumping in probably five times more sugar than needed. Sad I wasted 4 dollars on this. Update: okay seriously how do you give negative stars! My friend who got a matcha milk tea with pearls just finished his drink during our walk around town. He suddenly started spitting out the bubbles into the trash saying he felt something hairy in his mouth. Fished it out of his mouth onto his finger only to find a dead fly. See photo. Absolutely nasty. We should've sent our drinks back right away when mine didnt taste good but we felt bad since we had sent it back once when the guy got our orders wrong (don't ask why we felt bad, it was his fault he mixed them up and we were the only two customers ordering..). So many regrets. Stay away from this place.

Came here for bubble tea after dinner last night. Ordered the green tea with pearls which was $3.00 (before tax). Cash only. The pearls are soft and chewy and are delicious! Only huge negative is that there only appears to be one person running the entire kiosk. Cash, drinks, everything. So I had to wait a good 5+ minutes before my order was even taken. And then had to wait for my order. If it wasn't for the delicious pearls and great price, this would have easily been a 1 or 2 star review. I recommend coming here only if there is no line up.

Menu prices increased a little from 2015...but now it's on par with other bbt places.

The boba was delicious, they gave a lot of boba pearls and the milk tea was creamy. The worker was so nice. I recommend this shop!

I ordered the taro tea with tapioca bobba and it was good, definitely not the best bobba I have tried but for the area it's quite good

Selections are decent. however the menu is very confusing as they have a posted menu online, a digital menu via QR code and some posted menus. Unfortunately the menus were not in sync. My friend saw a couple of things she wanted to try from the online menu and was told they do not have those items. There are combo on the spot which are not their online menu and the digital menu. We ordered the chicken panini, a small mango bingsu and an order of tue mochi bubble waffle and taro milk tea. The food is very good. there is decent amount of ingredients in the chicken panini (which i forgot to take a picture of). The mochi bubble waffle was decent and i liked the taro milk tea as well. The bingsu was very well made but the price is a bit on the high end given the size. Overall service was good too

A fun hole in the wall dessert spot x flower shop!…read more Essentially there's a dessert counter in a shared space with a flower shop operated by the one owner - super adorbable concept, the boss was so nice to introduce his menu to us as well! Located on the same block as quite a few other popular HK dessert spots, I more inclined to go to Rose Cafe because it's quieter and a more comfortable environment to relax and sit around in. The boss mentioned they can make anything for us (!) including ginger milk, the sago desserts and that they event have the pistachio paste (yum!). For a quick dessert run - I opted for the small mango shaved iced, it's served with nice and ripe mango chunks, and a fresh mango shaved ice base. For just about $10 it's worth the dessert stop! They had a nice menu of several classic HK items - from deep fried chicken wings, to bubble waffles to pearl based drinks that only HK locals would order. Worth a try if and when you're in the Nanaimo / Kingsway area! Also (!) - very reasonably priced flowers and potted plants!!!

This is one of the better boba spots I have tried in Richmond where they have some creative drinks…read moresuch as the ones with panna cotta and mochi. I personally tried the cheese foam black tea with mochi and golden pearls which costed close to 10CAD. The cheese foam was slightly salty and pretty creamy, and the taste is much more pronounced when you dip the plain mochi into the drink. The mochi itself was slightly soft though a bit uneven in texture as some parts are chewy and some parts are already a little bit dry. I do like they nicely wrapped the mochi in a plastic bag to preserve the moisture, though I ended up trying it out immediately to get the maximum freshness. The tea itself is flavorful and not too sweet, which is what I intended because I opted for light sugar (30%). The golden pearls were pretty chewy and are the right preferred texture. While I liked the general quality of the drinks, like other reviews mentioned, the price of the drinks are a bit on the higher end but the quality did not really scale up compared to a good boba spot.
