They apparently didn't tighten my lug nuts properly. I was already in rural northern Wisconsin, about 300 miles from home by the time I started hearing a terrible noise. It was 10:30 at night and no shops along the way were open. As a result, I tried to "limp" into a larger town to have a repair shop take a look the next morning. I got into Iron Mountain, MI, about 5 miles from my destination which was back across the state line into Wisconsin, when the tire came off. It was 11:30 at night, in the middle of town, with no local shops or roadside assistance to come get me. The tire tore up the rear of my vehicle causing extensive damage. It was obvious that I needed a local shop to access the damage and do repairs on my vehicle. When I finally got a tow truck to come, he towed me to the local dealer. The next morning, the dealer called to say that due to the pandemic they were very short of workers in their service department and that they'd likely not be able to touch my vehicle for another two weeks. I called my insurance company and they found a local Gerber shop in Kingsford MI, about 5 miles away. Gerber came and picked up my vehicle and towed it to their shop. Once there, they began evaluating my damage immediately. Through out the long arduous process of estimates and repairs, everyone there was excellent to work with. Brad kept me in the loop with status updates every couple of days, while he worked my insurance company to process my claim. A side issue that I'd never thought of was that being stuck in a small town meant very few, in fact no, rental cars being available. Again, because of the pandemic. Brad arranged for a loaner from Enterprise that came from about 100 miles away and it worked out great. But, I had my dog with me and I couldn't take her in the rental, per the agreement, so I was still "stuck" away from home for 30 days while the repairs were approved and finally made. Once I got my vehicle back, Brad said he double checked my other 3 wheels and found that all three locking lug nuts were loose. The dealer must not have tightened those with the special key after the rotation. Since picking up my car, I've been very satisfied with how it's driven and the work Gerber did. It looked and drove like a brand new vehicle. I'd highly recommend Gerber to anyone. Great job guys. And, thank you, again.

I had two unfortunate situations in the last couple of weeks with different vehicles. The first was…read moremy own car broke down in downtown Iron Mountain at 11:30 at night. My car could not be towed and needed to be flat bedded to a local body/repair shop. Wade Edward's was on the scene 10 minutes after receiving my roadside assistance call. The second occurrence was with the rental car I had to replace my car, which had a tire blow out. After waiting in the phone for almost a hour and a half with the rental company's roadside assistance, never speaking to a human being, I decided to hang up and just call Wade. Once again, Wade came out to give to change my tire within 15 minutes of my call. He was great to work with in both instances. The first night, he took the time to help me and my dog, who was riding with me in my car, get to our local destination by around midnight. As for the tire blow out, when he realized it was on a rental and that I would be responsible for the repairs, he invited me to come into his dealership to have his team see if the tire could be repaired at no charge. Unfortunately, I ended up needing to replace a rental car tire but his staff took great care of me. Awesome experience. While I'm not certain of this, I suspect they gave me the "Friends and Family" discount. I really appreciate all his and his team's help. I'm a long way from home and it was nice to meet some people who are just good people and cared about me/us. If I was in the market for a new car, I would be very confident in giving him and Edward's Automotive my business. Maybe I will anyway.

I have used Wilson auto body two previous times for repairs so when my car recently received hail…read moredamage I went there to get an estimate for repairs so I could submit it to my insurance company then have Wilson repair it. The estimate took pictures of my car and my contact information and sai that he would have an estimate that afternoon and he would email it to me. I never heard anything that day so the following afternoon I call and was told he was waiting for a call back on parts and the estimate would be ready later that afternoon. Never heard from them. It has now been a week and I still have received no communication from them. Don't go to Wilson auto body because apparently they do not want your business. Very disappointing for a repeat customer to be treated this way.

It took almost two months to get my car repaired they sent it back to me several times while we waited for parts and a rental car availability. Each time I picked up my car it had new damage on it which they always argued that the damage was not part of the deer accident, no kidding because it was brand new and done at the garage. The owner was very rude and intimidating. He always waited to be nasty when we were alone in the garage. This guy should not be allowed to deal with the public. I was so convinced he did something to my care that I traded it off the day after I picked it up. What an unforgettable experience.
