Wow! What a great place to gas up, stretch out your legs, shop and eat. They have everything. Clothes, flip flops, food, gifts, books, on and on. It was a pleasure visiting this location. All the workers are so helpful and happy. The vibe here is way better than any depressing Wal-Mart Great job Buck ees!
We had such a fun trip driving up to visit Virginia's first Buc-ee's! I ate so many honey roasted pecans that I almost made myself sick. They were hot & fresh, and oh so good! We honestly spent over an hour here just soaking in the Buc-ee's goodness! I do wish this location had picnic tables somewhere but that didn't stop us from enjoying our BBQ & Brisket sandwiches. We all bought a bunch of snacks to last us until our next Buc-ee's visit lol
Wasn't the best visit. The girl that checked me out clearly didn't want to be there,and my English charm got me no reciprocal pleasantries. But the worst part was driving away and almost breaking a tooth on what was wrapped and sold as a chicken sandwich (see photo) - but actually a rock solid object that was coated in batter and fried. I literally couldn't bite through it. Had to turn around and go back. Wait for a manager, who eventually warmed up, but initially was telling me I had to get the same exact sandwich in an almost accusatory tone. Yes, the 2nd one was perfect. But 20 minutes, a painful bite, and not even an apology was unacceptable. I was pleasant and congenial the entire time.
Was excited to try this place as I thought it was in Texas only. I never visited one when I was in TX so can't say how it compares, but this was a cool experience, especially for a gas station. What you are going to notice right away is that it is massive. There are so many gas pumps as well as parking spots outside. And then the inside is huge as well. We actually came twice..... the 2nd time it was mobbed with people, despite the size. Food decent and prices reasonable. Tried a few different bbq options. Not the best bbq sandwiches I've had, but very satisfying for road trip food. Will definitely want to return
This is my second Buc-ees , that I've been able to say I've had the opportunity to go too. The first one was Richmond, KY in 2023. Visiting the area, this past weekend, was thrilled there was a location 15 minutes from my hotel in Harrisonburg, VA. I think going at night, experience bit different not as crowded. Purchased there famous nuggets, snacks, a shirt. Love the clean , art work lined bathrooms, just like I remembered. Here you never wait for a pump, with their being 120,and at the register they verify with you , on the screen it's your car. If your traveling like I was, or local to the location, go it's an experience like no other. I love Buc I'm going miss the cheap gas prices.
First time visiting Buc-ee's after hearing SO much about it! I was NOT disappointed! It certainly lives up to every bit of the hype. Anything you could ever imagine needing is here. Whether you're stopping in to shop, get some delicious food, or need a restroom on your road trip, it's probably the best one-stop-shop of all time. The best part? The prices were actually reasonable. You would expect a tourist-y trap type establishment like this to get away with overcharging for goods but I was pleasantly surprised with the value. It's a little overwhelming, honestly! So much ground to cover! Make sure you have time to explore when you visit. The jalapeño honey beef jerky was some of the best I've ever had. It was tender and juicy and perfectly flavorful. We will absolutely be back anytime we have the chance!
Buc-ee's is a gas station stop like none other! They have so many pumps and the cleanest restroom ever! There is a hand sanitizer inside each stall! Best part is their food and all the variety of things they sell at such a great price! My family loves all the BBQ dishes as well as their burger. Their pastries and fudge are out of this world. I am so glad they opened this new location in Virginia. I wish there was a Buc-ee's in Nevada.
I made the trip to Mt. Crawford so I could add this Buc-ee's location to my list since I've been a Buc-ee's fan for over fifteen years. I stopped in on a Tuesday afternoon (2-3pm), and had no trouble finding a parking spot, or navigating my way around the store. This location isn't as big as some others, but has all your Buc-ee favorites, clean bathrooms, and plenty of gas pumps. If you're wanting to stock up on Beaver Nuggets, flavored popcorn, candy, and souvenirs you won't have any trouble. The brisket burrito I bought for lunch was underwhelming. There was very little brisket, and a lot more beans. For almost eight dollars, it's a tasty burrito but could've used a little more TLC. Aside from the lackluster brisket burrito, everything else you're familiar with at a Buc-ee's is here.
Clean bathrooms? Check. Busy as all get out. Check. Lots of food, jerky, snacks, clothing, etc... Defo. Food is decent if a bit expensive. I had a good BBQ Turkey sandwich. The beaver chips need a bit of salt, but they are good with buc-ees sauce.
I had no idea there was a Buc-ee's in Virginia, but as my husband and I were driving up I-81 and I saw a sign that said "Buc-ee's-55 miles" I told him that is where we were going. Apparently I'm not the only person who appreciates Buc-ee's because the place was packed! But they manage the crowds well. I had to use the restroom and it was very clean, as can be expected at Buc-ee's. I had to buy a new Buc-ee's t-shirt to replace one which I'd purchased in 2016 at a Buc-ee's in Texas. We weren't that hungry but I had a chocolate pudding parfait and it was soooo good. If you're driving near Harrisonburg, make sure you stop and experience Buc-ee's. You'll be glad you did.
If you ever dreamed of 100+ gas pumps, a ton of food options, and endless toilets like me, this is your place! I never been to these places before. I just heard of them and they were considered a myth to me for years. Like you just can't imagine a place this big with so many things in one place. Well this isn't a dream. It's reality. The place was so epic I had to buy a shirt to represent the greatest convenience store mankind has ever built. Come here if you want to live, eat, get gas, and poop.
We stopped here on our way to Virginia Tech, and it turned out to be a great choice. The place is huge with plenty of food options. We ordered brisket, a chicken sandwich, a salad, and chicken tenders with fries, and everything was delicious. The fries were perfectly crispy, and the tenders had just the right amount of breading, which I really appreciated. There are so many other items on the menu as well. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth a stop. Highly recommend!
Yes, I'm reviewing what is essentially a gas station. However, if you've ever been to a Buc-ee's you know...it's so much more. It's been said that Buc-ee's is comparable to Walmart, and that's valid...but I'd say that it's more akin to Target. In all seriousness, if you're on the road in the midst of a long drive, and you see a sign with that big silly beaver, it really is a must stop. You won't have to wait for gas as there will be around 100 pumps (with prices much lower than a traditional truck stop), and the inside will provide you the opportunity to purchase whatever snack, beverage, hot prepared food, travel need, or beaver branded merch you could dream of. A must stop!
I'm from the West Coast - we don't have Buc-ee's. I've been once in Kentucky and driving in Virginia when I saw this we pulled right over! It's insane!! There are literally like 100 gas pumps. Clean reatrooms. Friendly employees. The store inside is like a Walmart. They have incredible bbq - pulled pork and brisket that's so good. Candy, jerky, gifts, drinks, home made fudge. It's all so good and reasonably priced. It lives up to all the hype. read more

Been to this Buc-cee's a few times already and I'm enjoying dropping by on the way going south. Wish they'd open one up a bit closer to NoVA, we'll see if that ever happens Everytime we've gone there's always chaos and lines and they've run out of the bbq/brisket. And I wish they had more seasonal sweaters that fit a bit better (the one I got ended up being too long and loose). My friend was also complaining about no seats but I can see why they don't have tables, to get people in and out faster. Tons of gas pumps and the bathrooms are indeed very clean. Lots of fun merch, even store branded dog toys and pickle ball paddles so there's something for everyone. And so much snack food, the aisles were chock-full of treats. We got a bunch of stuff like the beaver nuggets, candy, jerky, hot sauces, and pickled jalapenos. Enjoyed the Carolina reaper sauce and the white cheddar beaver nuggets. read more

I was excited with the timing of this Bucc-ee's opening in June as it would calm down by the time I got here in August. And yes, at 7am on Saturday morning, it wasn't at all busy. Plenty of parking and most of the gas pumps were free. Starting off with super clean restrooms as Mrs. K. reported that the ladies side was great and I could see the same for the men's. Then, shopping. All the merchandise from hoodies to T-shirts to shorts to sweatpants. Lots of stuff for kids and babies and pets. Food? Fudge and jerky and nuggets and candies nuts and beer and coffee and soda fountains and banana pudding and brisket. All clean and stocked and ready. I do wish I'd waited to get here to fill up. The fuel price was. A good 20¢ cheaper that the Love's down the highway. read more
This is like the Costco of gas station... I never thought I'd spend THAT much at a fucking gas station.... And I didn't even get gas. I drove fucking 3 hours with my family just for a gas station? I called off this week so in a take my family to a gas station. I'm missing Thanksgiving to go to a gas station. Man, my priorities are wack, but I'm doing this for Yelp cause I take yelping seriously... I was actually hesitant to get the food from what a lot of people had said but the brisket sandwich was pretty good. Also, is it weird that I'm buying gifts from a gas station for my nieces? I grandfather bought gifts for my cousins from CVS... back in the day it was called People's drugs. My grandfather never got me gifts... he was kind of a bastard. I digress... but I should close this out now... TL:DR Buc-ees is decent place to eat meat and buy gifts for loved ones. Great destination for a family road trip. read more
Love always stop at a Buc-ee's at any location. So glad there is now one in Virginia. Perfect place to stop for gas with so many gas pumps available. Perfect to stop for bathroom break- one of the cleanest you will be able to use. And best place to spend at least $100 on shopping and snack. The brisket sandwich is amazing and freshly made. Love getting jerky's and fudge. Great selection of soda as well. Always great to add to my Buc-ee's collection of Tshirts. read more

This may be the happiest place on earth. At least here in VA. My boyfriend and I ventured on a road trip from northern VA to check this place out. It's all the rave on social media and we wanted to see what all the hype was about. Buc-ee's definitely lives up to the hype. They have all kinds of food like brisket burritos, brisket sandwiches, Philly cheesesteak burritos, chicken tenders, breakfast sandwiches, cookies, fudge, cinnamon rolls, like I could go on and on. I had a Philly cheesesteak burrito and it was very delicious. My boyfriend loved the brisket sandwich. You can also buy merchandise like souvenirs, things for the home, clothes, toys, buc-ee's is like a giant superstore. I had a good time and I can't wait to go back. read more
I grew up in Texas, so I was thrilled to hear Buc-ee's was coming to VA, especially for their beef jerky. I missed opening week while traveling abroad, but as soon as I got back, my husband and I made the two-hour drive to check it out. This location is impressive and might even be larger than the ones I've visited in Texas. The famous clean restrooms lived up to the reputation, and we enjoyed the brisket sandwich and fudge. Both were delicious. The only but huge letdown was the beef jerky. As someone who brings it back from TX every year, the flavors here just didn't taste the same. It wasn't as flavorful. Maybe it was just this batch, so we will give it another try in a few months and hope they get it right. read more
Another great Buc-ee's! Lots of gas pumps and the bathrooms are the cleanest for a gas station. Plus the food selection is amazing and tasty. They have some of the best BBQ and desserts. You also have to give them a lot props for having great customer service. It's rare to find a business where you are welcomed as you enter and thanked as you exit. It's a very nice touch for travelers. read more
This place was a wonderland! First time here, and I was amazed! The food and drink options, the jerky station, and yes..... the bathrooms!!! I had the brisket sandwich, my son had the pulled pork, and we got the jalapeño honey jerky. For drinks I had a cherry limeade soda and he had the cream soda mixed with root beer. Everything was amazing! I see his people go in and spend so much money, it's easy to do. They have (almost) everything you can think of. Definitely worth a day trip just to visit and have lunch and shop! read more
This has to be one of the cleaners places I have ever been too. I took a random 5hr trip just for Brisket. There food is amazing. Great place to shop. They have the cleanest bathrooms. They can be overwhelming to some people with all the gas pumps amd there size I side. But its a place everyone has to try and experience if your in the location of one. Unfortunately I am not. As stated closest is 5 hr away. But always worth the trip.i Dove down after work. Got tgere about 8pm in and out within 30 min. I know what I wanted. Got gas and home next day around 2am. Cal it crazy but I call it am adventure going to a place with great customer service and friendliness and good food and snacks read more

First time at a Buc-ees! I am so glad they opened one in Virginia. We were able to check it out while visiting family. The place was huge and crazy. It felt like we were at an amusement park! First time at a Bucc-ee's and I was pretty impressed! The gas station part and parking lots was HUGE. It vaguely reminded me of a Costco parking lot and gas station but with significantly more gas pumps. We entered into the Bucc-ee's and were greeted by staff. We went on a Friday afternoon, and it was pretty busy! There were tons of items everywhere including Bucc-ee's merch, food, and seemingly more local or small business home good items. For the food, my boyfriend preferred the chopped brisket sandwich while I preferred the sliced basket sandwich. The chopped brisket sandwich had more of their bbq sauce than the sliced brisket sandwich. The sauce was flavorful and sweet. The chicken tenders and fries were well seasoned and crispy. The fries were my favorite thing. Crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. What more could you want? The banana pudding was alright and nothing special, but it is a nice treat to have on the road. Despite how busy it was, check out was fast. There were many cashiers available. read more
Ive been to the one in TN and the only difference is they dont always have food on the shelves which is frustrating. Its the same size as other bucees but maybe because its newer, much more people here?? You can be in and out in about 40 minutes. Get something to eat (no tables inside just grab and go), get merch and get out. read more
The best road trip stop for snacks drinks gifts and bathroom breaks. This is the newest and only in VA but it lives up to its reputation from TX. Tons of pumps, with decent prices. They offer non ethanol gas as an option if you care but I what I like and care about is their gas price which is definitely one of the cheapest options in the area. Inside the place is huge, tons of hot and fresh food from brisket fudge nuts jerky tacos to tons of drinks options. The bathrooms are immaculately clean and well kept. Stalls are big and there's so many spots there's rarely a wait. They sell all the usual Bucees gear from clothes to their brand foods it's great and dangerous for your wallet . Can't recommend this place enough. One of my favorite road trip spots and is by far the best place if you need a bathroom break, fuel up, and food. read more

Umm.... what did you think I would give this place? Ain't lower stars than 5. Have you ever been to Heaven? I've been to New Braunfels location in Texas and if you haven't seen Sir Yacht videos where he travels to all Buc-ee's locations in two weeks and 36 of the locations are in Texas. if you haven't seen that video, I highly recommended you should. LOL Just don't travel all the stores in two weeks like he did. He is a professional dumbass - Ay yo, his words and merch not mines. LMAO! The moment I saw on their website that they just recently opened one in Virginia, I told my boyfriend that we HAD to go. Well more of an experience for him since he NEVER had been to buc-ee and I wanted to show him what Bucee really is and how the food is to DIE FOR!! Roughly about two hours to get to this location from Leesburg and worth the drive, not the biggest Bucees I've been to but it's BIG for VA okay? A bunch of gas stations and you can't not get a picture of the ICONIC BUCEES (see below, that's my man ) Restroom is what they are known for and it's clean AF! Have you been to those parking garage that has those lights to tell you if it's vacant or unavailable ? This place has that but for the restroom, so no more checking if anyone is in there or rattle the door handle. You can drop a deuce and no smell. Trust me, I saw a mother changing her baby and didn't meant to look but that baby dropped a mushy one and no smell. It's like magic, what ever air fresher they are using it's heavy duty. LOL! I believe all gas stations across USA should have a bucee, roadtrips is about to hit hard and clean, that's something I believe that was missing in the Roadtrips department. No more of gas stations pizza and hot dogs, BRISKET sandwiches and banana pudding with a good soda pop! They still carries other bottles drinks and beer. It's all in one stop shop, they got snacks galore, home decor and so much more. (Wow, I sound like I was sponser by them but I swear to you, I'm not. I just freaking love Buc-ee's) Will I come back? The world needs more Buc-ee's. Delicious prepared food (I didnt even get a chance to snap a photo of the BBQ brisket sandwich I devoured so fast), wide variety of snacks, cool merch, and more. We went on a Monday and the place was packed, but lines moved swiftly and out of stock prepared items were quickly replenished. The restrooms are huge and thankfully clean. My new fave is their beef jerky. We sampled just about every flavor and didn't dislike a single one. Beaver Nuggets are a classic and those tie at 2nd with the lemon cookies. Can't wait until they open closer to where I live. I could visit everyday. read more
Took a random Wednesday off work to go with my friend who is obsessed with Bucee's. It didn't disappoint. Very large, lots of gas pumps, clean restrooms, quick checkout, and lots of fun stuff to look at--some I've never seen before. It was sort of empty when we got there right before noon, but the lines for food and stuff got crazy after we finished walking around. I regret not getting some barbecue to go, because my pulled pork sandwich was really good. The chips were only ok--a bit thicker than I like. If it wasn't so packed I would've gotten more stuff haha. read more

Took a detour from my road trip to check out the new Buc-ee's location in Virginia. This was my first time visiting, and it was overstimulating in the best way. There is so much to see and so much to buy that I felt like I barely scratched the surface. The restrooms are massive and spotless. I loved the jerky wall, and the number of slushee and drink options is almost overwhelming. They also have a wide range of seasonal products and items from small businesses. I honestly don't think I managed to explore everything in one visit. My partner and I tried the three meat sandwich and the pulled pork sandwich. Both were delicious, but we especially enjoyed the pulled pork since it was juicier and more balanced. Just a note: additional sauces are available, but they do come at an extra charge. The only downside was the gas price on the day we visited--it was much higher than nearby stations. We ended up filling up at Sheetz down the road for a better deal. read more
I haven't been to one for a few years, but I have a few shirts, a plush, and endless tales that I've told my family of how much I've loved this franchise. The service is always better than Chick-fil-A and you can't convince me it has nothing to do with their model being based on livable washes instead of religious dogma. On to this location specifically! We went yesterday and it was such an experience! 600 parking spaces (according to the internet) and nowhere to park. There are handicap spaces, but nowhere near enough. Getting in and out of the parking lot was a bit nightmarish tbh. Huge selection of candy, nuts, baked goods, and so on. The customers are crazed, very excitable, but it's only been open since 6/30 and it's 7/12 as I write this. It's family vacation time and I was able to convince the family that this should be one of our stops. Mom actually planned our lunch to be from here based on my memories of the sandwiches! And I'm so glad she did! The sandwiches were flying off the shelves. I lucked out and saw someone bringing more sandwiches (chopped brisket) out right after dad texted we couldn't get any so I was barely able to get them for us, but I succeeded yay! Mom was enamored with the clothing and kitchen selection. She even found pj's better than when she looked in dedicated clothing stores with really good, breathable material. Overall, I was intending to get gas here on the way back home, but it will depend entirely on if they're just as busy because while the inside was quick (if crowded), the parking lot was annoying. read more

First time at a Buc-ee's! We were here early so it wasn't super packed and there were plenty of spots to park. We ended up not buying anything, but they have tons of stuff, literally. The breakfast sandwich bar looked delicious, and all the jerky you could imagine! They probably have the cleanest, fanciest bathrooms I have ever seen. read more
WOW! Welcome to Virginia's first Buc-ee's featuring over 120 gas pumps. Every time I come to this location on a trip, I always find something new I didn't know I didn't need! For instance, I just picked up a Buc-ee's beaver phone holder. Perfect for my work desk. If the smell of brisket doesn't entice you, then the freshly made fudge and beaver nuggets may. Several months ago, I even got a Santa Buc-ee's onesie that I got to wear to work! I am a teacher, so this was a big hit! You can easily spend hours in here and never get bored. Oh yeah, they also have cheap gas! Most high quality bathrooms with indicator lights of occupation. They play only the finest country music in the store and make you feel at home while not just shopping, but immersing yourself in a cultural phenomenon!! Go to Buc-ee's!! First and foremost, Buc-ee's are pure insanity. Especially new locations. We made a stop returning from Charlottesville. Topped off the gas tank, parked and headed inside. First stop is the cleanest restrooms anywhere. Then we hit the snack section. Beaver Nuggets, pecan roll and some Beaver Chips. Then it was Brisket time. My wife got the chopped brisket sandwich, I got talked into trying the 3 meat sandwich (brisket, turkey and sausage). We paid them headed outside to eat near the car. Even in all of the chaos, the staff is overly friendly and helpful. The sandwiches hit the spot. I could barely get my mouth around mine. Which prompted a "That's what she said" from my copilot. Not a place to stop if you're in a hurry. read more
This Buc-ees was the first one I've ever been to, as they don't exist where I live. On our road trip though, this new location was right off the highway on our route and easy to get to! This place is HUGE for a gas station and gas is cheap too. There were a ton of people inside and it was crowded, so it was hard to try to look at things, unless you would spend hours there! I wish I would've found some more snacks, but we got a few different ones for the road and some burritos too. My boyfriend especially loved the wall of jerky! Would've been nice to also get a souvenir, but I never even saw those. This place is VERY popular though, and for good reason. It's a cool gas station, but also very busy! Despite that though, the workers all seemed super friendly! read more
First time at Buc-ee's and it lived up to the hype! There were a ton of people so was expecting a wait for everything but it was so efficient. The food was grab and go and we got the sliced brisket. It's really tender and moist and seasoned well even without sauce. The bathroom was great, no wait for women's and stalls have lights to show who is inside. Banana pudding: light and delicious Jersey: we got the prepackaged one and flavor is great but a little dry. Maybe the ones in the case would be better Fudge: chocolate was rich and good. I'm not a fudge fan but grab some if you like it. There was a wait of about 15mins Brisket: great! Would try one of the sandwiches next time Gas is cheap but might be more of a wait. I stopped at the Bucees near JMU twice this week. I love Bucees!!!! I got a Carolina pulled pork sandwich that was scrumptious! So perfectly seasoned and bbq sauce yummy. I also got white cheddar puffs which are so so good. The dark and milk chocolate salted caramels which are by far my most favorite thing in the store are worth the trip. I also discovered Bucees chocolate overbites this time. The cheese curls are the best. Seasonings , bbq sauces , hot sauces are top notch. I highly recommend the hot cheddar hot sauce!!! I also got this cute Bucees tote and some Bucees stickers. Another new treat I tried was the key lime pudding cup, it was pretty good too. Bucees is my favorite place! read more
Ok, I'm sure that the Buc-ee devotees will come after me for this, but I just didn't like the place. It's a bit overwhelming as a newbie. There is so much to see and look at, but when I stop on a road trip I don't also want to go shopping. I want food that I know will taste good, clean restrooms, and gas. There was a lot of energy and the customer service I received was outstanding. Bathrooms were excellent. But the brisket I got for lunch was inedible. The saving grace was the banana pudding, which became my lunch as I didn't have time to stop again. Sheetz still has my vote as number 1. read more
First time at a Buc-ee's and so glad we stopped here for gas. My brisket sandwich was devoured very quickly. Bathrooms are extremely clean, as is their claim to fame. We ended up staying close to an hour looking around. I wish there were locations in the Northeast! read more

Great place to stop on road trips to fuel up, snack up, great green areas throughout for your fur babies and the cleanest restrooms. Beware if you have never been you'll be there for a bit. read more
What can I say that hasn't already been said about Buc-ee's? This is a new location. It was pretty empty of customers when I walk in. I say empty but there was still like a 100 plus people in there, it wasn't as packed as the other locations. But that didn't deter them from providing the upbeat and amazing quality they are known for. Buc-ee's is my spot for refueling. They always have the cheapest diesel prices. From the fuel prices, to the saucy brisket sandwich, to those clean bathrooms, Buc-ee's will always be a highway stop for me. Hopefully it will be for you as well. read more
