Buc-ee's is an absolute must when I drive by. Even if I have a full tank of gas, I will beeline for Buc-ee's. I love to describe Buc-ee's as a "Wawa that had a baby with a gift shop of a cracker barrel and Walmart." It literally has everything and more that you would want to have at a gas station. I even love the branded items that they have! Their candy is top tier (definitely get the strawberry sour strips) and even their sweaters are super comfortable. I am a firm believer that Buc-ee's is the greatest thing that Texas has given to Florida and I'm so happy that we finally have TWO locations. "Shiny happy people holding hands..." This place is a lot. I mean, it's really overwhelming. There are a lot of people everywhere, bumping into you and...just everywhere. You are always on the verge of possibly clotheslining someone, but...everyone is so darn happy and nice. It's nice to see a business provide a living wage, which probably doesn't hurt morale. Back to the important stuff, the food and the store. The food here is good, much better than what you'll find at other gas stations and even some fast food joints. Now, would I say that it's the best BBQ in the area, no, but for the price it's a good grab. Their cinnamon peanuts, pecans and walnuts are really good. They also make their own jerky, which is not something you find often. If you like a cool gas station with tons of gas pumps, good food options and cleanliness that would compete with 5-star restaurants, visit this place. I'm preconditioned to never use restrooms at gas stations, but next time I go, I'll try theirs because I've heard amazing things...I may even update my review to talk about the bathroom alone. read more

The greatest convenience store on earth. I was intrigued by the idea of their 3 meat sandwich, but initially dismissed the idea as typical "gas station food." However, after watching the employees slice brisket for a couple minutes, I decided to give it a try and was not disappointed. This sandwich rivaled most BBQ sandwiches I've tried and I've eaten at a few Texas Top 50 restaurants. Sorry... Buc-ees will never beat a Texas top 50 establishment, but it does beat the other 99% out there. The fresh chips were great, and the jerky bar was incredible. But, don't try to buy ten pounds of jerky thinking it'll last you a month. Fresh stuff dies a fast death and is intended to be eaten quickly. I'd say within 3 days otherwise it gets hard. Beavers Nuggets on the other hand appear to have a long shelf life. If you don't have a Buc-ees nearby, when you go, STOCK UP. Anyways, I'm eagerly anticipating the day when Buc-ees moves into my area. Until then, I'll just look forward to my next visit. read more

My patience was already gone after driving on I-95 for hours with a crash every couple of miles...but my FL family insisted that a stop at Buc-ees was a must. So, stop we did and we will definitely make it a part of any future trips (though I renewed my promise to never drive again after the aforementioned traffic experience). They have a plethora of pumps, the cleanest private bathroom stalls complete with separate sanitizer for the toilets if you're so inclined, the sweetest smelling soap, fantastic food, and every creamer this coffee drinker could ask for. We picked up a few sandwiches - sliced brisket for the hubs and a club for me - and the tenderness of the meat and overall flavor would stand shoulder to shoulder with any actual BBQ restaurant I've reviewed. My daughter who is not a BBQ fan even polished off a sandwich. Should've taken more photos but I honestly wasn't thinking about reviewing until I took a bite of that sandwich. Stopped at Buc-ee's on our way back home to Orlando. I heard from a friend that this place was awesome. And it was! It is a large gas station with a large convenience store inside. My boyfriend and I stopped in to check it out and decided to grab dinner while we were here. We roamed the store for a bit. They have a little bit of everything. From home decor to swim suits! We picked out some good beef jerky. Tried a few different ones. They are best fresh. They were 24.99 a pound. We ordered a Reuben pastrami sandwich from the deli and a bbq beef brisket sandwich and potato salad. They don't have tables and chairs for you to sit so you have to take everything to go. I picked up a jar of pickled okra. It was pretty good and reasonably priced compared to Georgia and South Carolina pickled jar items. We sat in the car and ate our dinner. The sandwiches were both sooooo good. The potato salad is decent as well compared to my usual grocery store publix. I wish there was a buc-ee's closer to Orlando! Heard the hype of this place and I couldn't wait to see for myself if it lived up to the hype. It certainly did. We were driving to our house in Kissimmee and HAD to stop. Its so large and brightly lit. The gas pumps are a plenty. When you go inside its almost like a department store! Food and goods as far as the eye can see. And they DO live up to their reputation of clean bathrooms. In this particular trip we purchased some beef jerky, buc-ee bites, and other various snacks to enjoy on the way to our home. They have fun things like beach decor and souvenirs that relate to the area which is always fun. I bought some buc-ee lip balm which was nice to keep my lips soothed when dried up underneath my mask, which at the time I was wearing along with everyone else in the store. (This was in April - times have changed I am sure) The buc-ee bites are delicious. We tried the white cheddar and the caramel and they were both delightful. For Jerky we tried the ghost pepper (HOT be careful!) and the garlic and both were awesome. We didn't eat here since we came here right from Jollibee but we planned to stop at the Daytona Beach one on the way back so the food review will be on their page. Overall this is a must stop. I have recently heard about Buc-ee's and low and behold I had to be in the area for a celebration of life. This place was conveniently located near my hotel so I had to go see what all the hype is! Think of a huge gas station with pumps on both sides of a large building housing a home goods and BBQ joint all in one. This will make sense once you walk into one. You can find gifts here, but not your typical " I went to Florida and bought you this shirt" type. More so useful home goods, bath products, clothing, hats, candles, etc. Then you can also find a candied nut station, smoked meat area, BBQ meat area, every type of jerky meat you can seriously possibly imagine. They have jams, hot sauce, drinks, candy, camping supplies... I mean the list goes on and on. I spent some time looking around in there and picked up a few items that I had never seen before. It was fun! Okay so you are thinking why not five stars, right? Whelp.... they are forgetting options for people that don't eat meat. Meal wise. Yes, there is fruit, pickles, fruits and desserts to choose from. But the only option for a meal is grilled cheese OR you can order a burrito without the chili at the kiosk. I ordered the burrito without the meat and an apple pie of course! When I got back to my hotel I was ready for a delicious meal! I ate the warm apple pie first and then aimed to eat my meatless burrito. When I unwrapped the burrito I saw a piece of meat fall out on the paper and thought... it must have got caught within the working station and paper. Ugh. Nope not the case. They put meat in my meatless ordered burrito. I wasn't happy, and thank goodness I did get the apple pie roll because that all I had to eat. So Buc-ee's manager, if you read this... please include a couple more options (even your salads have meat) and please train the team to look at the order to make sure they don't add meat to a meatless order. I didn't want to put one star for it, however it did bring my hunger experience to a one star of sadness. read more

Oh wow where do I even begin! My Texan friends always hype this place up, so for the longest time I've been wanting to stop in and check it out! Unfortunately, the closest location is 2 hours from me so we waited until we took a road trip to stop in. It was around 10pm and we were having a super late dinner on the road, so we decided to grab food, gas and snacks here. My first thought was "Woah. This place is HUGE." From the food and selections, to the building, to even how many gas pumps they have... It's massive... I guess it's fair to say it's the size of Texas! I went straight for the Brisket and the Kolaches because that's what my friends highly recommended to me. I also got some of their fresh chips, fried okra, chocolates and beaver nuggets. The brisket sandwich was filling alone, and super tasty! Awesome size for the price of around $6. My husband and I LOVED everything we got from here. We were surprised that everything was affordable and not overpriced. I can't wait until our next road trip, of course who am I kidding- I may take one JUST to come back here! read more

Think twice before buying merchandise here because it's non-refundable even if broken! We stopped on our way to the mountains for Christmas. We have always stopped at Buccees when we can and have given them good reviews. We first discovered them on a family vacation to New Braunfels, TX years ago. Today this business lost me as a customer. My 10 year old son wanted to spend some of the Christmas money from his grandparents on a pop socket wallet. He purchased the wallet and once we get in the car we realized it was defective. We walk back in to get a refund and the Asst. Manager told us that since the original packaging had been opened that they would not offer a refund. She stated that Buccees policy was no refund for any reason. She said this policy is stated on a sign outside the front entrance. I sure couldn't find this sign. Of course we are disputing the charge and won't have to pay. Not only are we going to have this money refunded, they have lost a customer for life, stealing from my child. read more

My favorite savory snack? Beef Jerky. My favorite sweet snack? Fudge. Buc-ees had not only several walls of beef jerky but a deli counter full of different flavors of fresh beef jerky. Their fudge selection would make it hard to make a selection of it weren't for the sampler box which has a little of every flavor. The store was extremely clean (one of the people I was with described the bathroom as immaculate). So...we finally have one in Florida and I'm grateful that the powers that be at Buc-ee's decided North Florida would be the worthy place to build the first one in the state. Daytona Beach was not too far behind, they opened March 19. Ever since my first visit to a Buc-ee's location in Baytown (TX), I became a fan...from the smallest location (that I've been to) in Port Lavaca (TX) to the biggest location in New Braunfels (TX)...you can always count on them having cheerful employees, very clean restrooms and plenty of gas pumps. While there, check out their Buc-ee's staples, i.e., jerkies, kolaches, fudge, nuggets and of course, brisket. It's not the best brisket but it's very consistent in quality. I've had said brisket in 4 states (TX-AL-GA-FL) and it doesn't matter where you get 'em, it's the same. There's one thing that makes me scratch my head though, I have not seen a Buc-ee's location with windshield washer bucket/cleaner near the gas pumps or anywhere in the lot. read more
