Ah Buc-ee's. It's great but could use some improvements in my opinion. I've been to this location a couple times, the one in Leeds AL (outside of Birmingham), the one near Warner Robbins GA, and the one in Melissa TX. I used to have work assignments in Birmingham and it was the perfect stop on my way out of town because I needed to change clothes. The bathrooms at every location are amazing. Pros: Lots of gas pumps. You should never be waiting for a pump. The bathrooms. The bathrooms are huge, stalls are private, and they are typically always clean. I usually see an employee inside cleaning every time I use a Buc-ee's bathroom. Lots of good food options. Plenty of cute knick-knacks to choose from. Good barbecue. Cons: The parking lot/flow of cars is not designed the best in my opinion. I was here at this Buc-ee's on Friday and the parking lot was a bit of a nightmare. The jerky is super hard. Way too tough in my opinion. The barbecue sauce I tried to add to my food was surprisingly spicy. They should probably make that clear before you get it. Last but not least, the owner has a very strong political stance. I did not factor this into the review score. read more

If you've been to a Buc-ee's before, you know it's a must-see stop on any roadtrip. If you haven't, imagine if you would that a Walmart, your favorite barbecue spot, and a gas station got together and somehow had a mammoth super baby. Buc-ee's is that super baby. Buc-ee's is pretty much the greatest gas station that's ever been invented. If you've ever been then you would probably agree with me on this bold statement. With some very cheap gas being just the start, you really can't put into words how cool of a place the inside is. If you're traveling & within in a 30 mile radius I'd suggest stopping. I'm not joking when I say they're basically the Walmart of gas stations. If you're looking for something, whether it's their delicious BBQ, clothes, gifts or a wall of beef jerky to choose from then they sell it. The 1st time going is almost overwhelming with the variety of things for sale. As far as the food goes, you need to try the brisket. My brisket egg breakfast taco was amazing. Good pieces of meat with plenty of eggs stuffed inside a tortilla. They pump out the food fast so there's always plenty to choose from while keeping it moving. Checking out looks crazy with how many people come through but the cashiers did a great job. They're efficient & everyone I spoke to was friendly. Man is this place hopping. We stopped in on the 4th of july on our way up north and it was packed with people. Now I say that but checkout and navigating around to find a gas pump was super fast and easy. This was our first visit to a Buc-ees ever, we highly recommend if you have never been. We each had a smoked brisket sandwich and they were delicious. Of course we could not leave without some Buc-ees swag so we bought 2 shirts, 2 stainless steel tumblers, some jerky, and some sweets. Bathrooms were super clean. Only thing we wished is they had seating around outside. They might have on the back side but we parked on the gas pump side. I'm not even sure what I could say that could even begin to do justice to my first ever Buc-ee's experience. I've been in the "It's just a gas station, what's the big deal" team...until my sister literally twisted my arm to stop on the way from Atlanta to Nashville. The parking lot is nearly the size of a Walmart parking lot so immediately I knew this was going to require a LOT of patience and sticking together so we didn't loose each other inside. As soon as I stepped inside it was like a Walmart, meets Chuck E Cheese, meets Mall of America food court, meets Home Goods. If you don't do crowds, this may be extremely overstimulating for you. But if you can muster up enough patience to step inside and see what it's all about, it's worth experiencing. The fresh, smoked meat sandwiches were incredible, the beef jerky wall had some unique flavors, and the gummy bears are the best gummy bears I've ever had. stopped by Buccees about 45 mins outside of Chattanooga. first time there and it was insanity. people parked at the gas pumps to go inside...the lines for the bathroom was all the way to the cash register but it moved fast restrooms were clean. huge selections of snacks, food, drinks, desserts, and beef jerky. love the beef jerky! but its a lot of reaching around people to grab items like its black Friday. We were told it wasn't even the busy hours...mind blown! bought lots of souvenirs. brisket sandwich wasn't really anything extra special and the chicken burrito was okay. chocolate chip cookies were yummy. though it was crazy...I would stop back by just to get more souvenirs and beef jerky! read more

You always know what to expect when you stop at a buc-ee's. It's worth it to go the extra mile on a road trip in order to stop at a buc-ee's rather than any other gas station. That is if you have the option. Don't run out of gas trying to get to buc-ee's but if you start seeing the billboards and the distance is reasonable, I would definitely wait if your bladder or stomach can take it. And all my travels, buc-ee's is just a better pitstop/ rest stop experience the 95% of the gas stations I've been to. Friendly employees that greet you when you come inside - even at 3am! I liken Buc-ee's to being the "Alice's Restaurant" of gas stations, because literally you can get almost anything you want from here! That being said, it appears just about everyone that drives I-75 through Georgia agrees with me because during daylight hours when I've stopped here it's a zoo. Lines of vehicles getting off the exit ramp, and just as long lines getting back on. So I prefer to drive during the night when the traffic isn't so crazy. They have a large selection of drinks (I got coffee, black, tyvm), and all kinds of things to snack on or eat. Be sure to check out their cool bathrooms and the art / paintings for sale. Rows and rows of gas pumps. This brings me to the only fault with them - no windshield washing squeegees or fluids, WTH?! Amazing as always! First time at this one but they're all duplicates of the others that we've seen (have only prior been to the Fla east coast 2). Only disappointing thing was I had a ground beef burrito at one on the east coast & I was salivating for that burrito & they have removed the one I had before, got a brisket burrito today & it was pretty good but not as good as the ground beef one. Also they lack in diet soda fountain drinks, if you want something with sugar they have about 30. Bought a little travel dog dish for the car, smoked turkey flats for 5.99, glazed pecans & caramel birthday cake popcorn & a small piece of birthday cake fudge Can't wait to try all of that! Every time we've been in one they're always super crowded. A bus load came in when we were in there. Restrooms are clean & a million of them. Wow, we can't believe that we had a small contingent of shoppers here at Buc-Ee's Calhoun GA. But then again it was a Tuesday afternoon. We parked and walked toward the best part of this immensely big store. We know to find all the different departments since we've been there before. Of course we loaded up our red cart. Beaver Nuggets and Salted Caramel Nuggets and Beaver Chips to name a few.... the Oatmeal Raisin cookies are in and let's a dd a seasons greeting Christmas Tote. No T-shirts this time around but we had to stop at the Jerry counter. Samples gave us the impetus to get Lemon Pepper, Mesquite and plain peppered Beef. Professionally wrapped and now we have to get sandwiches for our trip back to Gainesville. Three Meat and Chopped BBQ Beef made it in the cart. For sweetness we added the Buc-Ee's Pecan Logs and a cantaloupe cup. Ready at the counter as cashier Cheyenne took every item and put them in easy to carry Buc-Ee's carry bags. The deer corn we can get on the way out. I asked for Buc-Ee's souvenir stickers and received them with a friendly Georgia smile. Great to be back at Buc-Ee's. read more

A beautiful awesome day amazing people of the world. We're on the way to Atlanta and decided to stop at a Buc-ee's because we needed fuel and also to see what all the hype is about. The place is massive, tons of things to see and items to buy, like shirts, trinkets and whatever it is with the buc-ee's logo. Were not here for that though, we're here to buy some munchies to smash when we get to our hotel. Let's get started shall we. First we have the Beaver Nuggets. As seen on tiktok and Instagram, it was as good as they said it was. It gives Caramel popcorn vibes. 8.5/10 Then we snagged a nice piece of Venison sausage, cheddar cheese and mozzarella. We cut the meat, arranged it with the cheese and viola! A buc-ee's charcuterie board. The Sausage needed a bit more seasoning. Some pepper and a bit of salt would go a long way. 6.6/10. The Mozzarella was ok. Nothing special, just some average mozzarella cheese. Not bad though 6.3/10 The cheddar was sorta underwhelming. Tasted somewhat like the mozzarella. Very neutral, no actual cheddar flavor coming through. 4/10 Anyways, thats what we got and im sure there are other items in the shop that are amazing. Fourth Buckys on this ridiculous cowboy adventure, and somehow... SOMEHOW... the only thing we managed to walk out with was salted nuts. Let me tell you, that is a miracle straight from the heavens, because Buckys is designed to break a cowboy's discipline like a wild horse with a bad attitude. Usually we leave with bags full of beaver-branded nonsense, enough jerky to feed a small army, and some gadget we swear will "come in handy." But not this time. Nope. A young man is walking across America for charity, and was kicked out of the establishment for no good reason. its one thing to kick beggars out, but it is another to banish a young man on day 36 of his walk who was just trying to get a sandwich because his cart had a sign that explained his mission and included "Donations appreciated". Pros: Well-lit, very clean, tons of merchandise, reasonable gas prices, spotless bathrooms, employee at checkout was super upbeat and kind. Cons: Crowded (I expected that), their chopped brisket sandwich is hot garbage. Let's just slap a pile of the fattiest, gristliest pork we can find on a bun and watch people line up to pay $8+ for the pleasure of throwing most of it away! I have fallen for the smell of Buc-ee's BBQ before and been disappointed then, too. We were traveling from Mississippi to South Carolina so this was the perfect midway stop for us. You can stop at any gas station but this for sure was a cool experience for someone like myself from the West Coast. This was the perfect place to stop by for gas but also good food and snacks for the road ahead. The place just smells like BBQ right when you walk in. I got to brisket sandwich and some beaver chips and they definitely didn't disappoint. I've never had a "fast food" version of a brisket sandwich and this was a great version of it as it was soft and juicy. They also have a bunch of really cool grills and smokers but I don't see us coming all the way here for that. We did see a bunch of Buc Ee stuffed animals so we had to bring home along with us on the trip. read more

They've got just about everything you can imagine, and surprisingly, the restrooms were clean. Be prepared to battle for a gas pump, though--not literally, but it was tough when I went around 2 p.m. The brisket sandwich was absolutely delicious, and I loved the cinnamon pecans. We like to pick up a quick bite and some snacks for our travel. Their beef brisket sandwich is amazing. They have a very big restroom facility. Even the line seems to be long but it run through quick. If you are lucky, you might see the mascot floating around for pictures. That was very cute.
