On sunday july 23rd my partner and I stopped into this location, we had his service dog with us and we were visibly displaying his service animal tag on his collar. Upon arriving to the store we noticed how chaotic the unattended children in the store were so my partner decided it was best to carry the dog so that he wouldn't be stepped on. we were approached by an employee telling us that animals were not allowed in the store even though we had just walked past a goldendoodle and two other dogs. Due to the volume of the store and the attitude of the employee we decided that we would just leave instead of being "that guy" that tries to explain a service animal to someone in a chaotic environment. I'm writing this to say- Bucee's, Do Better. We will not be supporting this stupid fucking beaver from here on out. read more

Stopped last weekend with the family on our way to a wedding. We all purchased different food items. The Disneyland of gas station convenience stores! I didn't realize how much I needed this to be on my Texas tourist stops or in my life for that matter, until I got here. There's so much fun grabs to get: koozies, beaver nuggets trail mix bags that I wish l bought 20 of instead of 2, spices, hot sauces, jerkies of all kinds, Bucc-ee's beaver face pillow, the list goes on and on and so does the store. It's huge! There's the usual suspects of sandwiches, snacks, soda fountains and numerous other truck stop necessities. I got a really good Texas made brand blueberry lemonade right out of the cold drinks section that was sweet but delicious. Drank it as we drove off. WOW! The world's LARGEST convenience store and it shows! My Brother-in-law kept talking about this place and how great it was so I caved in and we went in and it was pretty darned amazing. The Brisket and Egg Breakfast Burrito is a knockout as is the Sauasage-On-A-Stick which is some of the leanest sausage meat I have ate and it comes wrappeed in a flour tortilla. YUM! This place hase numerous fuel pumps and the largest most spotless restroom I have ever seen. If a lover of Butter Roasted Peanuts, get a can and get ready to indulge. I am not from the area so Buc-ee's took me by surprise! I just needed gas and ended up on a shopping spree. There were hundreds of gas pumps and parking. It was unbelievable​. The worst part is that Buc-ee's works to destroy their competition by putting signs in front of their competitors stores asking them to go to Buc-ee's for some inferior quality products at higher prices. We were having a grand time on our road trip through Texas and saw the Buc-ee sign and knew we had to stop since it's been our favorite thing in Texas. It was a good thing too! Our car tank was ee-mpty and we'd missed the warning alert! Buc-ee saved us!!! The interior was clean and orderly like what we've come to expect from a Buc-ee's. They offer everything you can need and more! I had a knack for some chocolate covered raisins but then I found them, they were triple a reasonable price so I had to pass. I got a brownie - it was good, rich and gooey. The Icees and fountain drinks are a really good price but other than that, prices can get out of hand. This is a great pit stop for snacks and gas. The place was crowded but the restrooms were clean and not subpar. One thing about the Beaver place, the spot is a palace of sugar laden, junk food. We stopped for gas and turned out to be a 30min stop to browse around and pick up a few items like jerkey, chips , some hot sauce and candy. In my time, on important lesson that I've learned is to never judge gas station food before you try it because sometimes they have amazing food and Buc ees is definitely one of those places. This location in New Braunfel's is the largest store for the chain so when we were heading from Austin to San Antonio, we definitely had to make a pit stop to check it out. They advertise as a convenience store however this location to me is more like a small department store. You can easily spend an hour walking around inside browsing all the items. Since we already had lunch we didn't get a chance to try their food options. We will definitely try their BBQ next time we stop in. A friend casually mentioned I should stop by Buc-ee's while in Texas. He didn't give any details, though, so I was completely unprepared for what I was getting into. It was, quite literally, jaw dropping. I was walking around like an idiot, mumbling, "This is unbelievable!" under my breath to myself the whole time I was there. If this isn't the biggest gas station in the world, I would be very surprised. There has to be 120 gas pumps outside, and 50,000 square feet inside. They sell pretty much everything, too. They had hunting blinds near the entrance, along with some animal feeders. Stuff you don't see at gas stations in LA (or anywhere else, I suppose). Since I was heading to Franklin Barbecue in Austin, I didn't have enough time to really check things out, so I grabbed a few breakfast tacos and a cup of coffee, and I was on my way. The breakfast tacos with scrambled eggs were delicious- easily the best food I've ever had from a gas station. One was brisket and the other was standard breakfast meats. They were big for around $2.25. The coffee was damn good, too. They have pretty much every kind of sweetener and creamer, so you can do it up however you like. I also grabbed a bag of dark chocolate and peanut butter covered pretzels. They were as delicious as they sound. Be sure to check out the candy selection- they have their own branded stuff, and pretty much anything you can think of. After this quick visit, I made sure to stop at Buc-ee's whenever I saw one. I visited 2 more the same day. I'll post some more reviews soon, since I tried different things at each location. Bottom line, do yourself a favor and stop at a Buc-ee's while in Texas. The prices are to high and now they charge you for sauce and have done away with the pickles and onions including the sausage sandwich. They have forgot what made them so popular. The bathrooms are always clean which I appreciate. But when did a breakfast taco become $6 and to add cheese it's another dollar. I can get two torchys tacos for that price. Buc-ee's knows better than this. I get inflation but a taco full of mostly eggs with little meat and no cheese isn't $6 before tax. I'd say stop and get gas, use the restroom, but go to an actual food chain to get your breakfast. We spent $35 on coffee, kolaches and 2 breakfast tacos. read more
