DETAILED, ON-TIME, and PERSONABLE As a first-time home buyer and woman with no knowledge of house-parts at 27, Buchanan made me feel at ease and knowledgeable about each area of the house as I followed him like a lost puppy. He was thorough in his assessments and helped explain what good and bad condition look like, the function, and how they would function differently if I made the suggested repairs. He was very honest about what is a necessary repair (what could wait), what I could Youtube-DIY, and what really needs a professional. For each noted item, he wanted us to understand the problem, how it occurred, remediation, and how to avoid reoccurrence. I really appreciated his intention of noting the safety/hazard of each problem. He mentioned what could easily harm a child/pet which is SO important for many family-buyers. After this home inspection, I truly feel like I know every little crevice of the house! Also-- he was VERY quick at getting the inspection report back to us. Big companies charge twice the price and don't give as in-depth of an experience. I would go with Buchanan ten times over and recommend him to anyone who is buying in the area. Jared was professional and spent extra time walking through our home answering ALL questions we had. He even went above and beyond to show us things in the home we would never have known about and provided guidance for home upkeep. Jared also provided us with his report the same day which was super helpful as there was a major issue with the home that we needed to inform the builder of ASAP.
