The store was amazing with 45 different vendors. Each section had its own vibe; prices were all over the place, but it was worth it. The value has been maintained by time-traveling most of the stuff in there, keeping it looking as good as it is at this time and age. I definitely love their old book collections, and I will definitely go back to the store because they have great selections. read more

Went to park in the parking lot at this location to volunteer help for the catastrophic flooding and landslide damage to the area recently. A man came out and told me I needed to move my vehicle the lot was for "his antique business". After telling him I was just parking there to see about where I needed to go for the volunteer efforts going on right beside "his antique store" he stated again that was for his customers which he had NONE!! What a prick no one is shopping for antiques when most roads are still closed and a lot of people are without homes!! He could be helping in the community instead of worrying about a dollar.!!! read more

Buckeye Antiques has been a bastion of what it means to be 'WNC Strong'. They are one of a handful of local stores in the Swannanoa area that physically survived hurricane Helene. I was heartened to see them immediately reopen amidst tough times so their local employees and consignees could continue to earn. They also lent their carpark for overspill of much needed disaster relief services. That being said, I was incredulous to see the recent review by Jr J who gave a one-star review because he was asked not to park in one of the four spaces reserved for staff and customers. As much as we appreciate all who have come to help us in our time of desperate need, please respect that our businesses-owners are also our community (and they have much to protect in uncertain times). IMO the damage of giving a one-star review to a local business trying to survive in the wake of a hurricane far outweighs the petty indignation of being asked to move your car. read more

There are a lot of neat finds here. Definitely a place you go back to over and over again and never see it all. The prices were mostly reasonable. Some things were a little over the top but not a lot. The lady at the cash register doesn't seem much like a people person. She told me the minimum was $25 when I was purchasing a $5 item. Then when I said never mind she told me I could buy the item as long as I was okay with paying $1 extra for the fee. Confusing. read more
