Absolute crooks. Hired these guys to tear up some broken sidewalk and relay new concrete. They…read moreasked for about $1900 for the job, with $1000 down for supplies. I agreed and they got started. Initially they moved quickly and tore the sidewalk up, it was looking good for about three days....then no progress. About a week later I get a call asking me to pay the concrete supplier directly because they "lost their debit card". I knew something was up at this point but paid to keep things moving. So I was at about 1700 in but they did get back to work. A few days later I get a call that the concrete supplier only delivered about 2/3 of the concrete needed for the job and they would have to hand mix the rest. Two weeks go by and nothing. So, I call them again. I get some story about the weather not cooperating and that they will get right on it, I just need to send them a check for the remaining balance so they can go buy the concrete to finish up. I said no, I can buy the concrete and meet them there. That was two weeks ago and I haven't heard a thing since. I've paid $1700, the job has been going for 44 days so far, and it is 2/3's finished. No end in sight.

The crew on the job was courteous, took the time to answer my questions and worked with me. We had a small bridge replaced on our driveway and crossing the bridge is the only way up to our house. The work they did resulted in a beautiful bridge that will last. We had worked with a few other contractors that provided a quick cheap fix. Nothing lasted more than a few months. Nothing like leaving your house packed for a trip and discovering your bridge washed out. The bridge Claggett & Sons put in, isn't going anywhere.

He came to our house to give an estimate but since I wasn't there and my husband was. He was very rude to my daughter when he could have looked at the foundation since "MY" husband was there. He told my daughter that since I was the one that made the phone call that I needed to be there. He left. I will never recommend this company to anyone due to bad customer service experience both on the phone and in person. So tell me why would I need to be there if my husband was there for the rep to look at the foundation?
