Our most recent experience with her, I called to confirm that our letters of discontinuation of coverage with them had been received, she told me they had and all was taken care of and no monies would be pulled from our bank account and the home owners wouldn't be collected for from our mortgage company. One week later, we received a letter in the mail from our mortgage company stating that we had "2" policies with "2" companies, they paid for both out of our escrow account and would be changing our mortgage payment to reflect the shortage! I then checked our bank account only to find out that they had also pulled the auto insurance payment and all because of her lies and incompetence! This just being the icing on the cake after other instances of incompetencey and lies from this agents office! We carried insurance with Farmers through this agent for 11 years and only ever had 1 claim that was a not at fault that Farmers only paid 20% of the claim, no moving violations ever and all that was ever done is our rates increased dramatically over the years. Our auto rates have doubled in that time as well as the home owners and considering that our new insurance company and agent is charging about 1/2 of what Richard Beck is charging for the exact same coverage for auto and approximately 25% less on the home owners we are left believing that we were being taken advantage of and the agent was just lining his pockets! I ended up calling Farmers directly and taking care of the problem so I'm not sure why we were ever paying an agent to begin with!

This year (early 2023) a SummaCare representative argued about putting in a complaint against University Hospitals for a billing error. The employee in Akron was very argumentative, and my wife even observed that it looked at times that I was begging her to put in the complaint. The employee finally obliged and put in the dispute against the billing error however, when we got the paperwork back from SummaCare, she failed to put in one of the errors which resulted in SummaCare saying I owed money. Fortunately, at the same time, seeing how this employee was being uncooperative, I had also put in a BBB complaint against University Hospitals and the billing error wound up getting resolved. So I wound up putting in a complaint against the employee and SummaCare through the BBB. SummaCare manager, contacted me and assured me that the employee and the department would be addressed as far as properly taking down complaints, and not being argumentative. The manager had lied to me - unfortunately, after I closed out the BBB complaint, SummaCare decided to dismiss the complaint, claiming that it was past 60 days. But interesting to note nowhere in the complaint did SummaCare reference the issues with the employee and the department. In other words, SummaCare misrepresented my complaint. Time to get the regulatory agencies involved. May contact our US Senator as well since it appears that many hospitals are bailing on this failed concept of Medicare Advantage "insurance". Good grief the Feds have a tough enough time keeping their own employees under control how do expect them to control their "Medicare Advantage" flunkies?
