Even from the start of "sales" process, no one ever pressured us, and the team was completely understanding of and worked within our budget. The design process was really easy and enjoyable - LBK really got to know us and suggested designs and items for the spaces that really fit with our personalities and themes. Once that was done, the team was clear about when the project would get started and overall timelines. The Project Manager and on-site team were absolutely wonderful - they were always respectful of the space and our family when we were in and out and by cleaning up at the end of the day. The head carpenter for each of the jobs (kitchen and master bath) also took our space and family's tastes in mind for individual recommendations when looking at final fittings/hardwares, etc. Even all the individual contractors they had come in for the work (electricians, plumbers, etc.) were all very considerate. I could not recommend this LBK Design team more highly - you will be in such trustworthy and skilled hands throughout the whole process.

I searched for some specific products at three major household stores. None could compare to Cookery. It is not just a retail store, but also a provider for almost everything you may need and a place to discover many many items that you probably never thought of. You can spend an hour going through all of the items and and find more. The staff is top notch and are ready to help you with your needs and provide suggestions of items you never knew existed or thought of. It is like a visit to a to a museum. Very enjoyable. In addition some of their items will make you smile. A "must stop" location in Peddlers Village.

I'm sorry but this place just sort of rubbed me the wrong way…read more let me say it is very clean and well organized and seems welcoming. but as you move among the shelves they seem overly stuffed and I had trouble actually pulling some cooking trays out to see their size. They were just wedged in too tightly. A lot of the items are cooking gadgets. nice things to spring on that cook you don't know what to buy for but in all honesty a lot of it was stuff I would probably laugh, use once then pop it in the back of the cupboard. There was also a sense that the prices were a bit high. I know the location has to justify its rent but I found backing trays i was looking for elsewhere at about 2/3rd's the price. Sorry, it's fun to look at and you might find a nice little gift for a friend who cooks when you stop buy but I wouldn't make a trip just to shop there.

We hired Reico (and worked with Cindy) for a full kitchen redesign, and the most important element…read morewe asked for was an island that would seat five people comfortably, with storage on one end. We were extremely clear that the seating needed to be unobstructed--essentially, a counter-height table extension from the cabinets. The final design we approved included an apron, but no measurements were provided to explain how it would impact stool clearance. The rendering even showed five stools at the island, which gave us confidence that it would work as intended. Unfortunately, that was a huge mistake. Because of a poorly designed apron, it is physically impossible to fit standard counter-height stools under the island. The clearance is so low that no stool exists that both fits under the island and allows you to sit and eat comfortably. In other words, the centerpiece of our kitchen--the island seating--is a total failure. It is appalling that a professional kitchen designer would overlook such a basic and critical detail. We assumed we could trust her expertise, but that assumption has left us with an island that cannot function as designed and no reasonable options to fix it without a major renovation. If you are considering working with this company, be warned: do not assume the designer has considered the practical details. Double-check every measurement yourself, because we learned the hard way that they do not.

My husband and I met with the designer (a great lady- big picture-oriented and practical) and her recommended contractor (a knowledgeable, detail-oriented guy who took the time to explain things), and we were excited. When we received the design and estimates, we did get a sticker-shock with respect to the markups of the costs. Based on our designer/contractor interactions, however, we were still considering Reico, even with the markups! But, the level of responsiveness dropped dramatically. Before we knew it, we were informed that our designer (the great lady) was "no longer with the company" and I now have all these spam-type calls from random people I don't know at Reico. Rude.

Buckingham Floor Company - Kitchen tile floor and backsplash

    Buckingham Floor Company

Bathroom Renovation…read more I waited to write this review until I had lived with my renovation for a few months and I am glad I did. Looking back even with my first interaction with Buckingham Floor & Bath's location in Buckingham was just awesome. I walked into their show room even before they had opened and looked around and had picked most all the components to my renovation in about 30 minutes not even knowing they were not open for business yet. Then somebody popped up surprised by my not expected pre-open visit and still was gracious enough to still help me with scheduling my first consultation and visit. Later I found out the person I first came into contact was Laura one of the co-owners who scheduled my meeting with the other owner her husband Jason. She proceeded to tell me how it was a family owned business (a big plus for me being family owned, local and a small business) and that her husband was the contractor and their son was also a part of the company. I had a great feeling about the whole business model from the very start. I could go on and on about the whole staff even Jason Sr.'s mother was so so lovely but I have to tell you now about my beautiful bathroom renovation. I updated my bathroom from a 90's bathroom (not a nice bathroom) to a very eclectic, modern, contemporary, traditional type of me bathroom. It is a hodgepodge of my style and it is beautiful! Both Jason I and II were so professional and good at what they do. They managed to renovate the bathroom in a way I would do if only I new how to even screw a screw into a wall correctly. When I told Jason on my initial consultation how I wanted to design my bathroom it was like we were on the same page instantly. My design experience with Jason and Laura in their showroom was seamless. Buckingham Floor and Bath's selection of items are up to date and not the stale dated materials you might find in a box store. Their showroom is so organized so upon selecting my materials their execution of installation of my goodies/materials were right on par. Most of my renovation happened during my vacation and for some reason I did not worry at all. I knew my reno was being taken care of at home so I was able to enjoy my time off without worry. My experience with the crew which is an important part of a renovation was outstanding. Everyone was very courteous, responsible, clean/tidy, professional and if it is possible or ok to say honest. The crew always worked daily full days as promised and my renovation was completed on a timely basis. If there were any so called "hiccups" it was because of changes or additions I made or wanted during the course but they came through and added or corrected everything in such a professional manner. I think everyone should take a look into this company as it stands for integrity, honesty and compassion in working with you and with their own staff which is very important these days. Thanks Jason, Laura, Jason II, Jason's Mom, and all the other staff who had a part in my bathroom renovation. Thanks all I got, S. PS I didn't include any pics because well I am kinda private. Just think to yourself if you have a dream bathroom in your mind and can't wait to have in your home, well that is what I have in my home now.
