Choosing a roofing contractor was indeed a daunting, stressful, task. Most folks probably know that post-pandemic home projects have doubled, tripled, and quadrupled in cost. So, yeah, the 5-6 estimates we got went from A to Z. Assessing roof decking (plywood) damage, can't be certain until the shingles are removed. So you can't get your arms around total cost of roof replacement until the project is uetswood were free as per the contract. Other roofers said we needed to replace all 44 pieces at around $100/sheet. Yeah, it's safe to say Heimbach Bros. are honest trustworthy. This is when you'll know if you've made the right choice in hiring a reliable, honest, true quality company that shows pride in their work, total accountability, and will exceed your expectations. That's what Heimbach Bros delivered in every aspect of the roof replacement. We dodged a bullet, and made the right choice. The crew showed up on time on the morning of the job. They are knowledgible, no-nonsense, skilled, and expedient in performing their job. The clean-up was thorough, exhaustive, and as complete as it can be. Heimbach Bros. uses GAF Timberline HDZ roofing products, well known in the roofing industry as a top quality asphalt shingle. Wife went with newly introduced line of, "Bold Definition Colors" she chose Chestnut Valley. Pictures of finished roof attached. We lucked out having Nick Hauber as our consultant. This guy is as honest as it gets, delivers on every promise/statement he makes, follows up on every detail of the project. Work was completed in one day. I know this story sounds to good to be true, but it's NOT. My wife is fairly intuitive and she said out of all the estimates we got, Nick was the most honest, consistent, and truthful person we spoke with. I was a great customer, accommodating to his schedule, tipping his staff, paying on-time. January 2025: He contacts me to explain how there is a major manufacturer increase in prices and to act now to take advantage of that deal. I was in the process of planning a major renovation for the second and new windows would have been perfect. I paid him a deposit of $6,900. Again, KES has done major work at my house, and I expected him to follow through. Since then, he has done nothing by lie, ghost and ignore me. I have reached out to the manufacturer, and I am pretty sure that they will no longer do business with KES after my complaint. I have submitted a complaint to PA Better Business Bureau. I contacted them and was told that KES moved out of there a few months ago. All my attempts to contact him via mail, either directly or indirectly, have been in vain because the company is no longer there. Please, PLEASE, do not do business with this company or Ron Dawson. He is a thief, plain and simple. Why would he move out of his warehouse and not update his address on his website? Why would he treat a great customer and a veteran this way? KES has $6,900 of my money and I have never received any of the goods or services. I have a signed contract and will take the necessary steps to enforce the contract or have the deposit refunded. I will continue to update this review as my situation progresses.

We gave a deposit of 10,000 on 2/21/2022. $5,000 of which was for a roof deck project which…read moreincluded railings, a new door cut into the wall. $5,000 was a deposit on painting the exterior, stucco and wiring the chimneys, putting exterior lights up that we purchased including building new wood backplates, putting up shutters, and painting our porch. Paid an additional $6,000 when the porch was painted, lights up, and exterior painted. Paid for shutters because they were still on backorder. Less than a year later, the porch is peeling up. The chimneys were supposed to be wired and stuccoed, they were just stuccoed. They cut a hole in the wall where the roof deck door was to be installed and left it filled with large gap sealer. We also have had water coming into the attic for months since the roof and chimneys were installed and the contractor has failed to inspect it, with his offered "lifetime guarantee". We would have had a chimney service install a cap if it was verified that was the cause many months ago and now have significant damage to our plaster ceiling that we will need to get repaired. The door has allegedly been on backorder since we put the deposit down on 2/21/22. At this point, we asked for our deposit back, as the work was questionable and contractor refused to get permits without additional cost to us, and it should not have taken this long. We could not wait any longer with $5,000 tied up for well over a year on a door that's been on back order for 14 months. We offered to pay for the door at cost, with proof of receipt and order number that we could verify with the door company. The contractor refused. Contractor is still refusing to return the deposit for the roof deck. We would like the shutters we paid for hung, the porch sanded and repainted (was never sanded), plaster in attic repaired and our money back from the deposit. We have contacted the District Attorney, BBB, and local court. The DA and BBB were unable to contact company. The local court when to serve at business address and found it to be an unmanaged garage.

I purchased my home in Philadelphia in August of 2014. I was told that my house had a brand new…read moreroof put on in May of 2011 and that the roof had a "10 year warranty on materials and installation." In December of 2014 I discovered a leak in my third floor bathroom that ran down the wall and completely destroyed my ceiling and the drywall. I contacted Palmer Construction Management regarding the leak and was told that since yearly maintenance was not performed on my roof the warranty was not enforceable and that they would not cover the repairs. I contacted another roofer and had my roof sealed to fix the problem. This seal lasted until December of 2016, when the same leak reappeared and again completely destroyed the same bathroom. Because my warranty was "invalid" I again contacted another roofer to fix the problem and was told that the roof is of poor quality and has a lot of areas of weakness and should be replaced. This is roof is only 5 1/2 years old. This leads me to two conclusions: 1) The warranty provided by Palmer Construction Management is not a warranty - it is a guarantee for Palmer Construction to (a) either get more money from you by requiring yearly service on a roof (I do not know anyone who does that in Philadelphia), or (b) get out of ever actually having to follow through on performing work covered by the warranty. 2) I would NEVER recommend Palmer Construction Management to family, friends, or acquaintances. There are plenty of roofers in the city - and the warranties provided by these roofers are actually warranties.

The only thing they've done is plug the inside which continues to leak but also forces excess water to leak at new locations in our basement. We've dealt with flooding and water leaking for the last 6 months. This is not a one-off complaint. Every house on our street has had similar issues. DO NOT hire this company. They are unqualified and refuse to stand behind their work.

After receiving the deposit and agreeing on a start date, he tried to reschedule at the last minute and later claimed illness, delaying work for nearly a week. When he did show up, he worked sporadically, often citing excuses like traffic, dead phones, car trouble, and eventually a family medical emergency. Despite several assurances, he made little progress and left key tasks undone, including unpainted trims, mismatched ceiling colors, and exposed outlets. Frustrated and disappointed, we ultimately decided to terminate Mr. Laflamme's services after he missed yet another scheduled workday without notice. Although we had paid most of the agreed amount and made efforts to accommodate him, Mr. Laflamme left our home in an incomplete and unsafe state. We expressed feeling especially let down, as we had treated him hospitably, including providing lunch and introducing him to our family. He took all the unused paint we paid for never provided us with the recipt(probaly to return and take the money) In the end, we had to host a family gathering in an unfinished home, which was both embarrassing and upsetting.
