Whilst waiting for the bus to the airport, I lost my front tooth. I have dental implants on all front teeth, so with one missing I could easily dress up as a bad ass hooligan. Weirdly enough I wasn't too keen on that. It looked so bad I was actually not sure if I wanted to go or not, but I decided to go. After all it was a much needed holiday. When I arrived at the hostel, I spent a couple of hours trying to get a hold of a dentist. I asked in the reception at Hatters hostel (another story, another review), and one of the guys had a dentist at Rodney Street. He couldn't find it on the internet though, so we went for this one instead, a completely random decision I am very happy I made. The woman who picked up the phone at the dentist office was the sweetest ever, and she even called back when the kind of rude receptionist at the hostel hung up on her because he thought he had found a better deal. I got an appointment the very same day, and the dentist fixed my tooth in less than half an hour. She was sweet, considerate, and very understanding. Possibly the best dentist I've ever been to!!! She did a great job, and I would more than recommend this place!

Superb care and really well trained staff…read more I am really impressed with the knowledge and skill of the dentists, who have done some quite technical work on my teeth. The hygienists here are also really good, they explain what's going on in my mouth and how to maximise the benefits of my oral hygiene routine. I would recommend this practice to everyone. (but please don't all join otherwise I will struggle to get an appointment) .

Bank view really is as good as it gets when it comes to dentistry…read more Khalid and the whole team at Bank View are a credit to the industry. I originally found them through NHS choices and they were very highly rated on there. I was looking to have my rather horrible wonky teeth sorted out for my upcoming. The website was awash with promises of what they could offer me, of how easy it would be etc and my honest initial feeling was one of "This sounds too good to be true" but I quickly found upon meeting them all, that it wasn't, they really are just that good at what they do. I'm through the process now of having braces and all that goes with that process and despite the obvious issues of having braces, I don't have a single issue or complaint about Khalid or his team. Exemplary service and support from everyone there. Couldn't be more pleased with end result. Not just clean, straight teeth but a new found passion my overall oral hygiene that will ensure they stay that way. Cant recommend Bank View Smile Studios highly enough. If you are considering having some dental work done or just want a new dentist, just go for it, you will not be disappointed.

The dentists are extremely good with small children and encourage them to take part in a family dental check up as soon as they are able to have a ride in the chair regardless of whether they have any teeth. This familiarises children with the dentist and the array of tools and prevents a visit to the the dentist from being a scary thing in later life. Of particular fascination are the portable cameras which enable the dentists to take pictures of individual teeth in colour and display a video image on the tv screen. They also have a range of colouring in materials and stickers as well as a lage collection of toys in the waiting room. They also provide a range of current magazines for a adults to read whilst they wait. They are a private practice and form part of the Denplan pre-payment programme. They no longer provide an NHS service.

She initially informed me that the session would cost £120 and that I would need to have a test patch which would cost £45. I stated that I couldn't really afford that and queried whether I would need a test patch as I had already had a few sessions with the same laser elsewhere. She said she would check, returned and said yes the fee for the test could be waived. I attended for my appointment today on this basis. A lady called Jenny was really nice to me and took me through all the details of tattoo removal for some time and was about to start the session when she snuck in that I was just having the test patch today and that I would need to pay for it separately to the £120. I assumed that she hadn't been informed of the agreement and explained it to her. She stated that it couldn't go ahead on those terms. I explained that I had come in to Liverpool on that basis, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered and she tried to manipulate me into either making a block booking or paying for the test patch as well. I explained that I had no objections to a test should the law require it but that It had been agreed that I wouldn't be paying for it. I left at this point and spoke with another lady and the male receptionist and was given my deposit money back. The whole thing was so scheming and underhand; the idea being to make you feel very comfortable and be just about to have the treatment so you feel obliged to go, "oh go on then, I'll have to now I've come this far". I'd taken the day off work for this treatment. This behaviour needs flagging up all over the place. Avoid.
