Then head to Tyreworld on Woodend Avenue (on the way to Speke from Hunts Cross). Its workforce is Tyreworld's real asset. They work quickly and have things done when they say they will. Better than that, if you're as clueless as I about cars, they are always honest. If you need four new tyres and a replacement back-box, they'll tell you and charge you a competitive price. If you need one new tyre, they'll tell you and charge a good price. If you've got a tyre that's slightly worn but will do for another six months, they'll tell you that too. Tyre checks are free and it's around £15 to have your tracking realigned, which is pretty good in my opinion. There's even a little cafe close by, so you don't have to shiver in the south Liverpool extremities.

Asked if I could book in was told no, just turn up. Next day I turn up 2nd in queue and was told sorry all slots full till 2pm, how I ask and was told people were booked in despite him not allowing me a booking previous day. I come back at 2pm only to be told I'll have to wait an hour! FOR A BLOODY PUNCTURE REPAIR!!!!!! I could do it in 15 mins and I'm not an expert. I wander around the area and am annoyed to see my car still in the parking bay 45 mins later. Eventually around 3:20 I get to drive home. Poor service. For a fiver my local garage would do a puncture in 10 mins, never mind a day and a half!!!

I basically dropped my car off and arranged for them to call me when they had carried out the MOT. In my experience they never actively looked for work on MOT's. They even attempted to give my husbands van a complementary valet but he's a plasterer so I'm sure you can imagine what a job that was, but the thought was there anyway! They really pulled the stops out to get my mot done and passed on time and I really appreciated it. I've used them personally and my husbands used them for work and we've both said the same, we'd use them again. Not the cheapest as I said but there's a value in them being reliable and we found them to be so.

He needed to look at my car and when I told him the make of the car and we're it was he said "the only D'S in the car park. Then asked me how much was the other quotes I had. I asked him to write his quote down and my tyre size. And he said so u can tell your other quotes the tyre size. I told him not to if it was a problem. Another customer waiting was even shaking his head. Basically I wouldn't give him my buisness what ever his prices are. They need someone with some people skills on reception.
