He ordered parts (it was a saturday!) and got extra based on what his intuition was - just by the phone call. I somehow got the van to their garage and immediately had Brandon out taking care of my situation. They were super methodical and had me on the road in no time, even fixing my damage. I had to use the spare tire to get home, and then order tires. But i think that was for the best for my pickiness. The repair price was appropriate, and the cleanliness of the waiting area was perfect. Garage was open and modern. Most of all, the professionalism of the manager made me give thought to coming back (an hr from home) just to keep giving them my business. He even gave me good suggestions for new tires. The shop said a line that they said was leaking just had some oil on it, the boot they said was torn was fine other than being wet and a few other issues like that. We got everything that was actually broken fixed and took it back. When we asked about one of the issues their response was "I can call the state police to come down and explain it to you." They may have made some small mistakes on the inspection, those things happen but their customer service was appalling and is why I will not be returning.

They completely misdiagnosed my car. They told me I had a bad tie rod, so I went ahead and spent the money to have that fixed along with an alignment. The problem is, when I took my car to another shop for a second opinion (and to get another issue fixed for the inspection that Valvoline could not fix), it turned out the real issue was the rack and pinion, not the tie rod. That's a major steering component that any decent mechanic should have caught. Because of their mistake, I ended up spending a lot of money here for work that didn't even fix the actual issue. Then I had to turn around and spend another $1,500 (technically 2.5k counting the other muffler issue.) at a different shop to finally get the rack and pinion replaced. On top of that, since the alignment they did here was before the rack and pinion was replaced, it was basically useless. I asked if they would at least do another alignment for free given that I had just paid for one with them and had already spent over $1,000 in the past week at their shop alone. They refused. At the end of the day, they completely dropped the ball on diagnosing the issue, charged me for the wrong repair, and wouldn't even make it right when I asked. If they were real mechanics instead of just guessing at surface-level problems, this never would have happened. Save yourself the headache (and the money) and go somewhere else.

Had the need to get some tires since I was riding on baldies and after finding Larry's online, I popped in to see what I could get for my ride. We arrived at a set of tires that would work for my car and we proceeded to get them all installed: balanced, mounted and I even had them do my alignment as it was off. While the guys in the shop were busy working, I spent a nice half hour chatting with Larry. Clean waiting room and fresh popcorn to munch while killing some time plus great prices, great service and super friendly folks - what more could you possibly ask for? Definitely will be back.

After having Simms look it over, they said my tie rods were fine and it was a stabilizer bearing that needed replacement. I have since brought my vehicle back for spark plugs, brakes and rotors. They were timely, trustworthy, and affordable. If I was living here long term, Simms would definitely become my regular mechanic. There is no real "waiting room" area, so if you need to leave your car for a period of time, I suggest bringing a book, if it's a nice day, a drink on the deck at the Asylum in the sun is a nice way to pass the time. I had a very bad experience with Lube and Wash. I brought my car in and was told it needed a rear…read moremain seal, front main seal, and that my entire engine needed to be replaced or rebuilt. I was also told the car was undrivable and could "blow up," which was extremely alarming. I decided to get second opinions from two other mechanic shops on the same strip. Both shops told me the only issues were a rear main seal and spark plugs due to a misfire in cylinder one. One of those shops, Heath's Tire and Lube, was able to fix the issue and get my car back on the road without all the major work Lube and Wash claimed I needed. To make matters worse, I had brought this same vehicle to Lube and Wash about two months prior for an oil leak they said they fixed. According to the other mechanics, the part they claimed to repair had nothing to do with an oil leak, and there's no evidence that any new parts were installed at all. I was still charged and sent on my way. When I returned with ongoing issues, the mechanic tried to blame me, saying I had been driving the car with no oil. However, since there was no actual repair done previously, it appears the issue was never properly addressed to begin with. Both other shops confirmed that no new parts had been installed. Overall, I feel misled, overcharged, and given completely inaccurate information. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before trusting this shop.
