You can tell these people actually like their jobs and working with each other. And remember, this is a gas station not some fancy Michelin restaurant downtown lol. I've never felt compelled to write a yelp review about a gas station and I keep telling myself that someday I'm just gonna do it and so today I decided to do it! Whatever their HR people are doing to hire employees and their trainers are doing to train them. Keep up the great work. I've never been to a gas station that makes me feel happy!

I searched for the cashier and found an older lady manning the front scoffing through the aisles as she was grabbing items for delivery orders. She didn't acknowledge me until I said I was picking up for someone. She rudely told me she's finishing it up and obviously not having the best mood so I waited patiently until I got an additional order so I told her I can pick up another order. She yelled with quite a temper and asked me if I can't see that she's clearly working on it and that I have to wait. I replied that I am in no rush. When she finished the 2nd order, she was still annoyed at what she's doing, even figuring out the stickers she has to attach to the bags irritated her more. Once done, I said "Have a nice day." and she replied with "Yeah yeah" with an attitude. As much as I like picking up orders from here, I don't think I'll do so whenever I see her working there. Yes, I am not a customer but her customer service is clearly not what you can call outstanding, not even an inch closer to satisfactory. Hopefully she's just stressed out or something.

I only point that all out so I can say with some authority that after visiting Speedway locations in about 8 states, this is the most incredible station I've visited. It's in a great location (if you happen to live in Plainfield, which I don't) right on the Lincoln Highway (if you happen to know about that.) The station is huge with more pumps than I could count and a full truck stop area for 18 wheelers. The store is enormous with more selection than any Speedway I've visited before. The most unique feature of this particular store is a grill. Yes, a grill. Most Speedway locations have pizza and sandwiches, along with a roller grill and so does this one, but it has a grill! Food is cooked to order, which you place on a kiosk workstation. The computer gives you a confirmation which you take to the register. Once your order is paid for, the confirmation becomes a receipt and you simply wait for your number to be called. Incidentally, this Speedway had the lowest gas price I paid in the full length of Illinois on my trip. Yup, I'm a fan!

I've had a few days to cool down, though I'm still plenty ticked that this gas station duped me (and countless others) with fraudulent prices.  This Speedway is on S Lincoln Highway in Plainfield, IL but there's no reason you need to care about that. For at least a week, their billboard a few miles south on I-55 showed regular unleaded at $3.59/gal.  In reality, the price at the pump was $4.13/gal, a full 54¢ more than advertised.  How can that be so blatantly wrong??? 1 of 2 things happened: someone was asleep at the switch/sucks at their job/doesn't care (more likely), or they deliberately posted lower prices to lure customers in (less likely, more concerning).  Either way, it's pretty horseshit. The convenience mart was stocked out of cans of Arizona green tea, which I'd never seen before.  The counter was abandoned for a long time, and when a worker finally appeared, the guy was dropping stuff left & right and was clearly stoned out of his mind.  WTF? * TL;DR * This Speedway gas station and IN-convenience mart can suck a big one. I was so pissed about the gas bait-and-switch I emailed Speedway corporate to let them know what's up.  Wouldn't you know it, 2 days later they "fixed the glitch" and prices on the electronic billboard are now synced correctly.  Lotta good that does me now..... I went out of my way coming here in the hopes of saving up to $8 on gas (14 gal x 54¢).  Since that turned out to be a lie, I'm now going out of my way to give them the Yelp equivalent of a middle finger.  Fraud, shitty attitudes, no Arizona tea?  Most obvious 1-star review ever.  凸 (_) 凸

I'm a fuel rewards member, received the membership and card at this location. Attempted to use my…read morereward points that are linked to my debt card at this station. The first time it didn't automatically use my rewards, which is the sole purpose of linking the rewards to a debit or credit card. The customer service department at the fuel rewards card fixed that issue. And told me, this issue shouldn't happen again and if it does. Go into the store and the managers can fix it immediately and apply them to your purchase. This morning it happened again, as advised by CS. I go in to have the manager apply my rewards. The manager or supervisor that didn't identify herself in any way. So she could be just staff. Process to tell me, you have to activate the card. So I told her the story a second time. Which clearly says the card is active. And that I was instructed to come in if my rewards aren't automatically applied to my purchase from the card. So She says, "did you enter the card or the number?" I asked her if she knew how the linked credit cards worked and if she knew what the word "automatically" meant. She told me I can't help you if you don't enter the card or the number. Here's a word of advise to the Circle K leadership. Train your front line managers, and staff on how the fuel rewards work. Train them on how to resolve issues and to go above and beyond for service recovery efforts. I actually pass a BP gas station to frequent this store. However, that stops now.

I use this pharmacy as well and the staff is ALWAYS professional, kind, polite, and helpful. Even if they are unable to help, they are still respectful and pleasant. I can get anxiety picking up prescriptions or going into large stores, but I always feel relaxed and welcome at this Costco !
