What was "disputed" is his receipt of a citation. I work in Auto insurance claims, and most jurisdictions do not issue citations for auto accidents.....because unless the police officer actually witnessed the accident, how can he or she testify to the citation? I knew we had a strong case based on my experience, but Rick was outstanding with VERY quick follow up to my email inquiry and put me at ease. What put me even more at ease was the flat rate he charges. I am not going to call out the amount (not sure its appropriate), but the VERY reasonable fee made the decision to have Rick represent my son a no-brainer. Rick showed up for my son on his court date and was able to get the citation dismissed! That easy! Listen to me, if you are in an accident and receive a citation, do NOT accept it and have Rick represent you (if you are in the Tampa area). Think about it, unless the officer/court orders the other driver and/or a witness to show up, there is no one to testify to the facts of the accident. This firm assigned Jennifer S. as my attorney for a county civil rights matter. I paid the $500…read moreadditionally requested by her to review video footage relevant to the case. She confirmed she had reviewed the videos and believed the case was viable. Based on that, I was asked to prepare and provide a detailed timeline, submit a lot of documentation, and sign a legal letter. Well over a year later, it became evident that major elements within the footage--which she later acknowledged made the case legally unviable--had been missed from the start. These were not subtle details; they were clearly visible and were quickly spotted by opposing counsel and by me when I was finally given access to the footage myself. Attorney Michael M. stated in writing that he was also involved throughout the process, yet neither he, Jennifer, nor their staff identified these critical issues. If the videos had been properly reviewed--as I was charged for--a significant amount of time, energy, and legal work could have been avoided. To make matters worse, when these key points were finally discovered, the firm refused to accept professional accountability. They declined to retract the demand letter and also refused to refund the original $500 review fee. Instead, they cited the volume of emails and phone calls logged on my case as justification for keeping the fee. That justification only added insult to injury. A large portion of that communication was the direct result of Jennifer's extended periods of unresponsiveness mixed with partial responses and email replies requesting phone calls instead of emails. Until I began CCing Michael M, I had to send multiple follow-ups just to get basic updates or answers-- extra contact that wouldn't have been necessary had she been more attentive and timely from the start. In my opinion, this was a frustrating, disappointing, and unprofessional experience for multiple reasons. I cannot recommend this firm based on my experience.

The only available evidence made it obvious that I should not have received a citation at all, but the police only seemed interested in assigning blame, not examining the actual visible facts. The penalites and punishment were extreme and so I needed representation. I searched online for attorneys who handle both traffic and criminal charges, since I would need someone able to present a case and defense for the false accusation, and Dennis was one of the few results in my search. My wife also told 2 separate people about the situation, and they both independently said, "You need to call Dennis Lopez." I took it as a sign and I hired Dennis. Dennis is very knowledgeable about the law and has been practicing for over 30 years. He is very busy in the courtroom. The day of my hearing about 1/5 of the cases that day were represented by Dennis.
