Then with a side of poutine for £3 it works out a lot of delish food for not much money, so I treated myself to a large banana milkshake £4 I have had more tender cheesesteaks but certainly not for £4 The poutine was the right balance of cheese and gravy however the fries were a little bitty, small and broken, quite difficult to pick up with the wooden spork given I found the burger cardboard holder to save my fingers getting sticky a fantastic touch I loved the milkshake! So much so I got one of the dreaded ice headaches from drinking too fast I am on the fence regarding the price, is it worth £4, I would happily have it again, not for £4 tho, £2 small £4 large ..... I think it should be more £2 and £3.50 I know it's only 50p but it's a clincher sometimes! So will I go back hell yeah!! Great food at a great price and lovey staff

Here's me admitting I was wrong to hold back that extra star from BRGR. I was pretty skeptical when…read moreit first opened as I didn't expect to like it, but I did (4-stars worth of love, in fact). But now I've been 4 times and I have to admit that I am a bit in love with BRGR. Reasons: 1. The burgers are so cheap. £4 burgers Monday - Friday and just £5 on the weekend. I've now tried the chicken bacon cheese and the cheeseburger, and they were both awesome. In fact, the chicken burger almost has too much chicken on it (what a thing to complain about) - I tend to take off one of the fillets of chicken and eat that separately. 2. But they are also really good burgers. I mean, I could get a cheap burger somewhere else and it could taste like rubbish. I've tried a few burgers here now and they are consistently tasty and properly fresh cooked. 3. Staff. They are all proper friendly and welcoming, and manage to run the place calmly even when it's pretty manic and busy. 4. Sides. Ok, I wasn't won over by the wings when I first had them but since then I've tried the poutine (yes) and mac cheese (oh yes) and really enjoyed both of them. 5. Drinks. They could easily mark-up the drinks to cover the cheap burgers but cans are £1 and the booze is reasonable too. I've ever had a nice rosé here. 6. Lunch burgers. Ok, they open at midday during the week. I work from home about 5 minutes drive away. I haven't been for lunch burgers YET because I feel like this is a slippery slope to burger-related-heart-disease. But it might happen soon. 7. And finally - delivery. They told me last week that they're hoping to start delivering by the end of the month. See point 6. I will try to resist this for as long as possible. So yeh, I am pretty in love with BRGR. We recently popped in for a mid-afternoon snack (Graeme managed to distract me from going for a lazy Maccas drive through) and our meal for two was £10. Amazing. See you soon, BRGR.

I'm a bit of a fiend for pulled pork so I went for the Piledriver burger with a side of fries and a Coke. The burger consisted of a medium cooked, juicy, tender beef patty topped with smokey pulled pork, onion rings and bacon and BBQ sauce, not to mention "all the fixin's" as they put it. Honestly, everything I want from a burger was there! The fries were crispy and the portion generous. If I was to change anything I would add some more BBQ sauce to the pulled pork, purely because the sauce was so good! They also do a breakfast menu and local delivery, next time I'm in the area those waffles are getting it! Looking forward to my next visit.

The Hideaway is aptly named... It's tucked inside Castlemilk Sports Centre so if you don't know…read moreit's there you'd easily never know it exists. So here I am, telling you all where it is. And it is GOOD! We were in the area visiting relatives and as time was getting on we decided takeaway was easy. The owner Thomas recently gave the sports centre cafe a full renovation; new look, new name, new menus. We've been desperate to try it. There's loads of breakfast and brunch options during the day but at night it offers up some classic American feastings. I got the black and blue burger with a side of mac and cheese. Because we all know this combo is The One, right? The black and blue burger consisted of two beef patties topped with blue cheese dressing and all the fixings on a brioche bun. The patties were cooked medium, were well seasoned with a little black pepper kick and were soooo juicy. My blue cheese dressing had melted into the burgers by the time we got home and just added to the flavour. My only little complaint is I would have loved more dressing, but I am a blue cheese dressing fiend!!! It's a minor thing though - I'm being greedy. It was such a delicious burger! My mac and cheese was also fab. There was a nice onion flavour to the sauce that I loved (I make my own mac and cheese with an onion based sauce). It was such a generous portion too. My whole meal came to £7 including a drink. That's hardly anything! And the meal itself was much needed after a late night of visiting. I'll be back soon to try one of their breakfast/brunch options too because they all sound fab. The guys at The Hideaway are doing some amazing food and it needs to be shouted about!

Having visited several times before and knowing that there wasn't going to be an issue accomodating us after 8, my mind was made up almost automatically. When travelling round the country I've been to quite a few of these Table Table restaurants. With them all I've always been greeted With a combination of comfortable and homely surroundings, a decent menu selection, good service and tasty food which looks like the menu. The best kind of pub grub. Being a Tuesday night When we arrived, the service was impeccable, with no wait to be seated, no delay in taking drinks orders and fast efficient delivery of our food. Service even came with a warning that the middle of the chicken might be hot and to take care. Also, during the evening (after 6 I think) they run a specials menu which has the option of 2 courses for £9.99 or 3 courses for £11.99. The specials had a varied selection of food ranging from burgers and salads through to a delicious chicken and ham pie. This time I had the chicken goujons with a caramel glaze, which was just delicious, followed up with the fish and chips, and the tastiest apple crumble with custard I've tasted. The pasta dishes and banoffee sundae also comes recommended. The beer garden outside looks like it could be a nice place to sit when the weather gets better and the premier inn next door could come in handy if the reasonable drinks prices prove to be too much of a temptation for any drivers. I'll be back here for sure. Location : 8/10 (only marked down a bit for the road running past the beer garden) Atmosphere and Surroundings : 10/10 Service : 10/10 Food : 10/10

Today the queue was promised at 10 minutes so we waited outside (not in the sun so was pretty chilly) for over 20 minutes for a table to become free. When we sat down we ordered right away, having had a while to peruse the menu. I went for their five egg omelette which apparently is so big it took them almost three weeks to find suitable crockery. I digress. The breakfast omelette was certainly huge, with two chunky slices of toast accompanying it. However it tasted pretty greasy, probably mainly due to the sausage which wasn't great quality. I got a bit bored halfway through eating it so gave up and got it to take away! I was pretty full so didn't get chance to get a dessert but they looked pretty interesting. On the whole there's great choice for breakfast, brunch and dessert but nothing to write home about. I wouldn't say it was bad but I don't think I'll be rushing back.

I had, by chance, noticed an advert on the subway and thought it looked interesting! Let me start off by saying that the portions are HUGE. Coming here with a huge appetite is definitely the way to go! I ordered the pancakes with a side of bacon and a vanilla latte. The pancakes were massive and fluffy, served with delicious maple syrup and crispy bacon. Definitely the best I have tried outside of Canada. The vanilla latte was sweet, creamy and filling! My boyfriend had the egg and bacon bagel which came with a delicious side salad. The vanilla milkshake that he ordered was bloomin' lovely! Sprinkles on top and sugary till the very end! I would highly recommend a visit here for breakfast- I will be back very soon!

Dennistoun BBQ does super casual dining really well. You order at the counter and wait around 10-15 minutes (maybe longer if its super busy) and then they'll shout your name so you can grab your food. I have very specific taste in beef burger so more often than not, I start with a chicken burger at a new place before trying a beef one - I think chicken is generally done better than beef. This chicken burger was RIDICULOUS in size, it was mostly all hanging out of the bun as it was so big. Am I complaining? No way, it was absolutely delicious and had that juicy, smoky freshness from grilled chicken that so many places screw up by overcooking. It was hard to eat though so I ended up just aiming on eating the fillet rather than the burger. I tried a couple of sides; cajun fries and mac cheese. The cajun fries are amazing and probably the best I can remember eating in Glasgow. There was just the right amount of seasoning and they packed a good punch. You know what makes Cajun fries even better? Dipping them into mac cheese. Oh yeh, I went there and I'm not ashamed. My friend Sharon M wasn't all that impressed with the mac cheese but she is pretty judgemental (I mean that as a compliment, she makes a damn amazing mac cheese) - personally, I liked it. It was cheesy, the mac was cooked just right. Simple, and good. This isn't the kind of place to eat and then sit about chatting with your pals, so we headed up the road for dessert. I'll be back sooner rather than later for more of that ridiculous chicken. They also do takeaway - phone in your order so you don't have to wait too long as it was really busy on a Friday night. I understand why.
