Aside from the usual fare of sashimi and maki, I almost always go for teriyaki chicken when eating at Japanese restaurants. Omakase's teriyaki chicken is good; it has that smokey, savory flavor that's important in teriyaki chicken, though I guess it's a little too sweet. With its intimate setting, I'd consider it a great place to go to when with family or friends. If you're going in a large group, try the Sushi Boat but prepare to go a little overboard (another ha!) on your budget.
