Arrived in BJX anf headed to Budget counter. It was abandoned. Wanted 15 minutes for representive to show up. He came into Budget counter and demanded, "give me your license and credit card. I politely had him the cards. He looked at his paperwork, barjed off at me the total for the rental was $400. I looked at him and said no, it's $182. He responded with you have to buy liability. I said no, it is included in the carentals.com/Expedia reservation. He responded, "that works for you, doesn't work for me. We rented a car for 10 days and were advised we have to buy the insurance. We have rented vehicles from here various times and have never had to purchase the insurance. Then while driving 1.5 hours to our destination we noticed the passenger window did not work nor the horn. Stay far, far, far away! Car was not what I reserved, told me I was being upgraded. Total joke of a car was what was brought to me. Dings, scrapes, no hubcaps. They tried to have me take it with a completely cracked windshield! I refused that car and out came joke #2! No cracked windshield, but the car was an embarrassment--no hubcaps, dings and scrapes all over it, interior very worn (but at least clean), bad tires! Not even 10 miles from the airport I had to fill the tire with air. Customer service was not bad, I don't blame the employees for the terrible fleet. These operations are a franchise and this one at BJX is NOT operating to standards. Don't rent from these people. read more

This was the most unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful experience I've ever encountered. The responsible for this is ROSALIO RÍOS (who tried to fool us by giving us the wrong name) we got his real name by other staff members that know him for having a reputation of being the absolute worst with all the clients. He was 40 min late to start with, he left his booth un attended and got offended when we brought that up to him, he instantly had a rude attitude, didn't not apologize for wasting our time and said "go with another person/company bye"as he refused to provide any further service or information. Other customers were experiencing the same issue as us and also decided to go with another company instead. Apparently he's the "manager" so unfortunately there's no other person above him to speak with. It is a big mistake having him work in customer service, he's a horrible person to have in representation. He needs to be fired. read more

Worse Car rental company!!! Do not rent from them!!! I booked a reservation on line and it was great until I got the vehicle. I had rented an SUV. When i got outside to check car out its Duster. All beat up!! Okay so the guy was really nice loaded our luggage in the car and all and we were on our way. Next day the car was stalling to start so I called Budget and spoke to Luis Carlos. He said he would have a SUV back the next day att 8PM and to go and pick it up aT 9PM so car could get "washed". Hee even said this model I am getting back is newer then what you have now. Mind you the inconvenience of driving 45+ minutes to airport for a new car instead of driving one out to me. So I call the next day at 8PM and no answers. So I drive out to airport and I walk in and I am told by security that they had left for day. So I was PIST! Waste of time and gas! I called the next day and spoke with Luis Carlos wasn't apologetic at all! He just said "oh the car didn't get returned " really you wouldn't think to call your client to let them know? He then finally said I will have a new car driven to where you are. GREAT! Not!!! Guy shows up with same style car and windshield cracked all the way across! Missing a windshield wiper. I had not choice but to keep it like that as he had no other SUV. We drove it for a day and it was making a clunking sound. So I called and spoke to him once more and I said why would you not tell me that you were sending me a car withoout a windshield wiper and a cracked windshield. He didn't care didn't apologize nothing!!! He then got rude and said you know what this is your issue. You have an issue with the style car. He didn't care to resolve the issue! Once again says to me I will have a new car back on Tuesday. I said call me so I can switch cars. NEVER CALLED LIKE HE SAID HE WOULD!!! Never again will I rent from this company read more

My friend just called me from the airport telling me she didn't get picked up from this place to get her rental. She wasn't able to get a call through to them so she asked me to call. When I did, all I get is a busy signal and no other way to contact them. Now they have to go rent a car from another place that actually has a booth at the airport. She'll have to get her money back from her reservation with them. read more

DO NOT RENT FROM BUDGET CAR RENTAL in Leon, Guanajuato Silao (BJX airport) Here's what happened. They are shady as crap. So, my husband and I booked a full size vehicle, since we were traveling with my parents. Reservation went through online ok. When we got to the airport, the guy was gone, we waited about 20 minutes for him to (hopefully) return. He walked us over to our car, and he gave us a tiny, smaller than economy vehicle and we said NO, this is not what we booked. He assured us that in Mexico, this tiny thing, was considered a full size vehicle. (He lied) TO top it off the car was empty in gas. We took the vehicle and 20 minutes later we called the phone number and Rosalio picked up, he said he KNEW it WAS NOT the car we booked but said, he gave it to us anyway because it's the only one he had. So he admitted he lied. Then he said, he would have an SUV being dropped off that night and would call us back and NEVER DID. Our contract was written and paid for a FULL size vehicle. I called earlier today to get a refund but they said they are franchised. The lady that answered the phone says, she will give me a call tomorrow to see if the refund is possible, but I am not holding my breath on them calling me back. DO NOT book a rental with this company. We flew in from California and had reserved a car for our 5 day stay through Priceline. When we landed we went straight to the Budget counter and were told that although our reservation was in their system they did not have a car for us. They said there was no way for them to reach us but also did not attempt to have Priceline contact us to inform us of this. We went to every other rental counter there and the prices all were at least 3 times the cost of our reserved vehicle. It is a scam!!! We wound up spending a lot more on taxi fares on our vacation but at least we didn't give the car rental companies any of our dollars. Filing complaints with corporate Budget and Priceline since they should ultimately be responsible to ensure this no longer happens. Thanks for nothing but grief Budget and Priceline. This could be big safety issue and should be stopped. read more

Avoid this location of Budget. Similarly experience to the previous post, the difference is that the staff showed up after some time. He was courteous and apologetic. But this did not change the fact that the experience, in general, was not ideal. Try other companies in the airport that do have booths and staff in place (hertz, avis, europcar) read more

This business does not exist at the airport counter as listed. We made reservations thru expedia and charged the rental thru them around November 2017. Our flight landed 12/22/17 early am to our surprise this company was nowhere to be found. Airport staff and neighboring rental companies confirmed they had left the site about 3 days prior. We never received advance notice of their move nor where new site would be. It was very frustrating as were left with no car. Various attempts made to contact directly via phone however no response nor option to leave message. read more
