Cobwebs in the bathroom, pieces of the bed falling off, stained duvet cover. Gross... that was the first thing we removed before we got in bed. The water pressure was not good in the shower either. Overall, it was a place to sleep...

ZERO STARS -- Quality Inn & Suites and Conference Center (FL663)…read more 30307 Cortez Blvd, Brooksville, FL 34602 Manager: Shail Patel ZERO STARS -- I TRAVELED 5 HOURS WITH MY FAMILY ON THANKSGIVING WEEKEND JUST TO BE ROBBED BY THIS HOTEL'S OWN GENERAL MANAGER. THIS EXPERIENCE BROKE MY HEART. I wish I could give this place zero stars because what happened to my family and me at the Quality Inn & Suites and Conference Center (FL663) for Thanksgiving weekend was beyond disrespectful -- it was emotionally draining, humiliating, and financially devastating. This trip was supposed to be a special Thanksgiving getaway for my children. We drove five hours to Brooksville hoping to spend family time together in Ocala/Croom -- to make memories, to relax, to enjoy the holiday weekend. Instead, I ended up feeling robbed and betrayed by the people running this hotel. I originally booked a reservation for Nov 27-30. I canceled it properly on Nov 26 through Booking.com. That SAME day, I booked the correct reservation: Nov 26-29, and as always, Booking.com sent me the confirmation to my Gmail. But this hotel suddenly claimed there was a THIRD reservation -- from Nov 27-30 -- one that I never made, never saw, never received in my email, and one that does NOT show up on my Booking.com account. And without hesitation, they charged me $96.50 for a "no-show." A no-show... when I walked into that lobby at 3 AM on Thanksgiving weekend with my tired children? A no-show... when I checked in, upgraded my room, and paid $100.35 + a $50 deposit hold? A no-show... when they took my card, printed my receipt, and handed me my room keys? They SAW me. They CHECKED me in. And they still stole my money on top of everything I already paid. Fabiola at the front desk was very kind, and she told ME to contact Booking.com -- which I did immediately. Booking.com confirmed THEY did NOT charge me and THEY even contacted the hotel to fix the issue. At first, the general manager, Shail Patel, agreed to give me a refund (minus $25). For a moment, I felt hope -- like finally someone understood that I did everything right and was just trying to enjoy Thanksgiving with my kids. But then suddenly, he changed everything. He refused the refund. He blamed ME for a reservation that I never made and never saw. He dismissed my explanation, my proof, my emails -- EVERYTHING. He didn't care about my five-hour drive, my children, our Thanksgiving plans, or the fact that I was literally standing in HIS hotel after already paying for my stay. And that wasn't the only issue: * At 3 AM, the sofa bed had NO sheets, NO pillows, NO blankets -- nothing for my children to sleep on. * The next day, the lights and electricity in the bathroom completely died. * I had to go downstairs again begging for help while my family sat in the dark. We stayed. We paid. We did everything right. And this hotel still punished us for THEIR mistake. This wasn't just a billing issue. It ruined our Thanksgiving weekend. It broke my trust. It made me feel powerless, unheard, and taken advantage of. To be robbed and blamed on a holiday weekend -- after traveling so far with my children -- is something I will never forget. ZERO STARS. Absolutely never again. And families, please be careful -- no one deserves to experience what we went through at this hotel.
