My first encounter with the front desk woman, a senior, about 5 foot, short gray hair, she rudly shouted are you done yet while working on reserving my room through a third party last night. Tonight around 9:55pm said I used the motel's wifi to reserve a room. I didn't. I have it on my phone. ​ She wrongly and deliberately accused me of stealing wifi. I firmly told her that not encouraging a customer to reserve a room using hotel for a few minutes in the lobby is known to be unacceptable anyway. I asked her to help see this from her side hoping she would allow me to sit in the lobby a few minutes while I used my wifi on my phone to reserve my third night in a row on my phone. She had not been wearing a name badge and when asked for her name for this complaint, she claimed it was unauthorized for me to have it. While I communicated my intent to leave a review of this, she remained unmoved to stop. I informed her I would reserve from my car. As I walked to my car she exited the building and shouted angrily, " You're not staying here. You'll know my name bitch." I am disappointed that I could not stay in this place that I have enjoyed. read more

This is the most disgusting hotel I've ever seen! there was black mold in the bathroom near the shower head, the bathtub paint was bubbling up, And the room had an unusual odor! ice machine was outside and disgustingly gross. Although it'sa pet friendly hotel the carpeting in the room was disgusting, they really need to put linoleum flooring in for sanitary reasons! their deceptive in their pricing their corporate website shows that there is a pet fee of $20 per night, but when you get there they tell you it's $20 per pet!! If I could give it a ZERO STARS, I would. This place is so dirty, inside and out. There were leaks everywhere. It says no smoking, yet everybody does. We saw homeless people sleeping in their cars ar night. My kids were afraid to sleep there because it was so sketchy. I'm just thankful I brought all of our own sheets, pillows, and blankets. They need to invest money in cleaning this place up a little bit, especially being so close to weeki wachee I would imagine most of their business is families. The only good thing was the free breakfast. It was your basic continental breakfast, but the ladies in the front were friendly and helpful when we asked for anyhting. . read more

Stayed here for 2 nights and honestly was disappointed. The tub was not cleaned before we arrived (had dirt and hair) and we requested a blanket but was told that everything was in the room but wasn't. I had also called the front desk if they can have someone send up extra towels and with hesitation they said that no one will be able to because the housekeepers were gone. The "continental breakfast" was just some white bread, make your own waffles and bananas. They had like 5 yogurts out and a coffee and juice station but nothing special. If I could give a 0 I would give it a negative 100. My boyfriend was trying to check through the front desk and was completely disrespected by the front desk agent by the name Sonny. We aren't sure how to spell it because this agent had NO NAME TAG ON. My boyfriend has been traveling through construction for many many years. Has gone through the entirety of Florida and has stayed at many places and has never had an issue, not once. What came from this experience with check in was nothing short of pure disregard and disrespect. That being an entire an understatement. Prior to check in, he came on his lunch break to see if his room was available and on the reservation . The first agent told him his room was not available and to call back around 2. This time came around and he called and he had come in contact with Sonny. He could not specify of room details and if payment could be authorized. We checked on a form which he did not find at first but then with digging did. Upon check in time as stated IN THE RESERVATION, the front desk agent Sonny denied the reservation and check in due to circumstances surrounding the names on the reservation. My boyfriends company put his reservation under a nickname for another name he goes by(et al. Bill dick, etc) almost 2 hours later and my boyfriends Boss coming down to resolve the issue, he still was unable to check into his room where the reservation was made a week prior. After getting names corrected runs the company card but wouldn't process. They find out later he put the expiration in wrong 4 times. Meanwhile, Sonny was claiming there were no rooms available online but upon guests walking in he stated, "if you have the money we will accommodate you." Be Aware! We stayed at the Quality Inn while I had surgery and recovery. The beginning weeks, the front manager charged us what we agreed on. The last week we stayed, the front manager debited our account for the agreed amount PLUS $100.34! When I asked about it, the manager said, " sometimes that happens and you will get a refund soon!" That was over 3 weeks ago and we have not received a credit! I have checking account proof they debited an extra $100.34. There is something dishonest going on with the front manager or staff. The dishonesty was very disappointing. If you give them your credit card, I recommend you check your account. I imagine they are doing this to other people too! read more

My first night of two in Tampa, FL started with a good night's sleep here at the Quality Inn in the Spring Hill area of the urban sprawl of greater Tampa. It was only for one night and I received room 340. I apparently got the good one, especially when the lady at the front desk recommended a particular hotel room unit when I checked in around 8pm on Tuesday, October 25, 2016. I wasn't too sure that the lady at the front desk recommended this particular room to me, so I joked with her, whether or not it was haunted or something weird or bad had happened in the unit. But no, she happened to stay in there once or twice before and highly recommended it. It ended up being a pretty cool deal and I had a nice comfortable evening here at the Quality Inn. I chose this hotel property because it was the cheapest hotel that I looked up on hotels.com. Room rates here were really good and I didn't want to stay in the downtown area of Tampa. I probably spent about $50/night plus applicable taxes and fees. I must say that this place was easy to find off the US-19 highway. The overall experience here at the Quality Inn here at Spring Hill, FL was pretty sweet. Even though I only stayed here for just one night, the value of the Quality Inn was just perfect and, as the name of the brand suggests, it's a budget friendly option that definitely has Quality and value attached to it. It was a welcome sight when I drove here, even with GPS, and the parking was adequate and thought it was plentiful. This Quality Inn hotel is located at 3979 Cortez Boulevard in Weeki Wachee area of Tampa/Spring Hill. There is plenty of nearby eateries are nearby to help you in your eating options, but this Quality Inn offers you a complimentary breakfast to get you on your way. They also have complimentary wifi, so I used it for the night. It was a good connection and not as spotty as other places and brands I've been to across the United States. Win Dixie supermarket is nearby, so you can do your shopping here too. Quality Inn, like many hoteliers out there, accepts major credit cards, as well as cash. The lobby area was very clean, quite sparkling, and the breakfast area was clean too. It was nice to have complimentary breakfast before venturing out into Tampa to enjoy the day. The room itself was rather cool and definitely well worth the price. It was quite spacious, almost like a suite, but it's all in one room instead of separate rooms. The bed itself was quite comfortable. I got my 7 hours worth of sleep here. Wish I did booked two days here, but I'm glad that I found this place and it was fun and good. I ended up checking out of here close to 11am, just because I was on vacation and wanted to hang out here. Spent the time reading the complimentary USA Today they had put out for hotel guests, watching television, and drafting yelp reviews from my travels earlier in my vacation. Yep, writing reviews while on vacation from previous stops on vacation. I had some downtime, so why not. I do love the room comfort that allows me to be creative in this space. Too bad that I had to check out at 11am though. 4.0 stars for the entire experience. 4.0 stars for the bed and room comfort. 4.0 stars for the check in and out process. 4.5 stars for the price. 3.5 stars for the complimentary breakfast. Bad experience, the front desk lady was really rude to us when we asked for extra shampoo bottles!!! she basicly said Fuck off and to go get ourselves some like bruh. I stayed here for a week after a house fire. Some of the staff were pleasant and some were not. Some had absolutely no customer service skills. I contacted the company after I came into the lobby one night and was waited on by a drunk counter person. She had the Tequila sitting right there on the table. Also there seemed to be a lot of shady things going on there. A man, who was always wearing dark sunglasses, hanging out with the maid while she was cleaning rooms. Standing behind the front counter, wearing the glasses. I watched beat up cars pulling into the parking lot, being met out back by the same guy who hung around the facility. Someone at this establishment stole my credit card number and I ended up with several fraudulent charges on my account. This happened after I had to fill out a credit card authorization form for this hotel. When the manager returned my call he was extremely rude and didn't want to listen to my concerns instead he just treated me like I was stupid and yelled at me on the phone. This made me wonder if he was the one behind the theft and fraud on my account. When the hotel emailed me the credit card auth form to fill out they accidentally sent me someone else's form including a copy of their credit card and driver's license. I contacted this person and she told me that the same thing happened to her right after staying at this hotel. She had over 5k in fraudulent charges on her credit card plus she was pretty blown away that they had accidentally sent me all of her information. This was a time consuming nightmare having to go through all of the fraudulent charges and disputes. I wouldn't let my worst enemy stay here!!!! read more

This hotel should have a special 10 gold stars rating. The management obviously cares for their employees especially the day manager, Evita. You can pay your employees to do their job. But you can't pay people to care. And care is evident throughout the facility. Exceptionally clean anywhere you look; common areas and rooms. I felt completely safe too. The manager even reviews the security video. (Can you believe it?) The staff even cleans behind the toilet. And at a value price, it can't be beat. And everyone is genuinely friendly. I'm a member so I'll return here next time. (Note to management, everyone here deserves a bonus.) Originally booked this hotel as the previous Best Western. Was contacted prior to our arrival to be informed that it had changed to a Quality Inn. No issues with changing the reservation over and even received a new confirmation number and email. Check in was really fast and no issues. We obtained a room on the 2nd floor of the hotel. The room was a two doubles room. It has a lot of space and very high ceilings which give an overall feeling of a larger space. The bathroom is small but again with the high ceilings felt much larger than it was. The flat screen TV was great, and even allowed the connection of my computer to watch shows from iTunes and NetFlix. The AC worked great and didn't hear much sounds from outside the room. The room had a refrigerator and microwave that we didn't need to use but would come in handy for someone that needs those appliances. We were planning a trip to Weeki Wachee Springs State Park and this is one of the closest hotels to that location. The city is currently working on the street in front of the hotel so that made it a little confusing on how to get into the hotel but after the 2nd attempt there were no issues. The hot breakfast was really good as well. It included ham, bacon, and sausage as well as eggs, cold and hot cereal, fruits, breads, juices, and make your own waffles. The area was not very crowded when we were there but the seating was a little limited if there was a huge crowd coming all at once. We are traveling cross country and will be staying at hotels on several occasions along the way. After the treatment I just had over the phone I can pretty much guarantee even if you have the lowest rates I won't use any more of your hotels. My husband has Multiple Sclerosis and has maneuvering issues and also has medication that needs refrigeration. So after booking through priceline for 3 nights as they encourage I called to verify we would have an accessible room and a refrigerator.  The smart mout at the desk proceeds to tell me since I booked through a third party I will get what I get. I asked to speak with a manager and was told good luck. I tried to point out that this is an American with Disabilities Act issue and he goes well then call a lawyer. You better believe if I was able to cancel and get my money back I would. We are on a very very tight fixed income and have to save every penny we can. I have never been treated so horribly by a front desk person. Now I am afraid when we get there we will get even worse treatment because of the phone call.  I am really not happy ad plan to tell everyone that goes to Weeki Wachi Florida to stay elsewhere and there really aren't many choices in that itty bitty little area. read more

QUALITY INN, 9373 CORTEZ BLVD., WEEKI WACHEE, FL. RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN UNLESS YOU LIKE LIVING WITH ANTS AND COCKROACHES. No ELEVATOR to second floor. Bathroom sink and counter outside of bathroom. When you open the bathroom door it barely clears the toilet, so you either have to literally stand in the tub or squeeze between the tub and toilet to close the bathroom door. No space to get undressed or dressed. First morning went to eat breakfast and the front desk lady was talking to the hostess. Got the last small spoon full of eggs and the sausage was COLD. Hostess never checked the breakfast area for the 20 minutes that I was there. No food so some quests left. Trash bins overflowing. Hotel's computer doesn't work. Lady at front desk said that it had to be my fault because it wasn't theirs even though I kept getting a "Secure Connection Failure" message. Asked her to try and print my baseball tickets for that day, she just laughed, said good luck and walked away. Luckily I had printed my receipt at home and was able to get the tickets at the actual ballpark. Missed the first inning of the ballgame. Got to our hotel at 8:30 pm that night only to find that we had a bathroom sink full of ants - not just a few but hundreds. They had crawled all over our toothbrushes, toiletries, got in my makeup and traveling case. We washed as many as we could down the sink. The next morning we still had ants and when my husband was shaving a cockroach ran behind the sink. Then while he was showering a cockroach ran up the wall of the shower. So my husband went down to the front desk to tell them about the ant and cockroach problem and requested to talk to the manager. Were told that the manger was not available until Monday morning. They never apologized or offered us another room. My husband insisted on talking to the manager NOW and the front desk lady told my husband to get out of the lobby or she was going to call the POLICE. When my husband got back to our room we called Quality Inn Customer Service and filed a complaint. Were told they would immediately talk to upper management and call us back. DIDN'T HAPPEN. Sunday morning we called Customer Service again to check on complaint, once again told that someone would call us back immediately. DIDN'T HAPPEN. Tried to find another hotel to move to but between MLB Baseball Spring Training and College Spring Break most of the hotels were booked or the rooms were $300 a night or more. Decided to stay where we were because Quality Inn already had our credit card information and we were afraid that if we left they wouldn't give us a refund. HOUSEKEEPING IS HORRIBLE! Never emptied food items in the refrigerator from the previous guest, at least 1/2" dust on top of the coffee maker, something all over the sheets (I don't even want to think what that might have been), water melted in ice bucket overnight - never emptied it or replace the plastic bag. Glob of toothpaste still in sink when we returned that night. They would make the beds, empty the trash and replace the towels if you were lucky. Also we were there for 7 nights and the maid told me that they only change the sheets when the quest checks out and not during your stay. This hotel allowed pets. On the second day that we were there, someone spilled dry dog food all over the steps to the second floor and no one ever cleaned it up. Steps to second floor and walk ways in front of rooms were fifthly. There was a blue recycle bin under the stairway for the 8 days that we were there any never emptied. SMELLED REALLY BAD TO. Manger who we found out is also the owner never called us on Monday as promised. HE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT HIS GUESTS. Also found out that the lady at the front desk that talked to my husband about the ants and talked to me about the computer is the Manager/Owner's girlfriend. (Figures) In all of my life any time my husband and I have gone on vacation we have never been treated like this. What was suppose to be an enjoyable vacation from our son as a Christmas present turned out to be a nightmare from HELL. I DON'T KNOW HOW THIS HOTEL COULD HAVE THE STAR RATING THAT IT DOES. Take the General Manager's advice, do not use a credit card here if you value your credit. They will photocopy your credit card even if you have a prepaid room. We arrived late at night with a prepaid reservation. When we arrived, the clerk told me that I had already checked in earlier in the evening and showed me my registration form with someone else's initials on it. The clerk confirmed my identity, and found a comparable room to check me into. He asked to see my credit card (I assumed to compare it to the account number on the reservation) then he proceeded to make a photocopy of the card and staple it to my check-in form. When I told him he was not supposed to keep a copy of my credit card, he said it was hotel policy and he could not check me in without it (even though my room was prepaid). This is not standard practice and vendors are not supposed to retain credit card information (especially the CVV number) once the charges have been authorized (which mine were). So after being refused service at this hotel we had to go find other lodging; the hotel across the street did not ask to make a copy of my card, they just ran the authorization and handed it back to me. When I returned from my trip I found I had been charged a "no-show" fee despite the fact that I tried to check in and was refused service. I contacted the manager who refused to refund the money and specifically told me that if I was worried about my credit card information being stolen that I should not use a credit card. That attitude is totally unprofessional and unacceptable. I should not be charged a "no-show" fee for refusing to accept a non-standard and unsecure practice concerning my credit card information. read more

Just before, during, and after Irma hit 3 employees stood out as going above and beyond what I would expect, not just with me but with everyone I saw them interact with. Those 3 were Marie, Bobby, and Rohan. A big thank you for all the help you provided during this time and I would definitely stay in this hotel again next time I am up in that area. read more

Booked a double bed room here for one night via AAA that ended up being $80.27 with taxes and such. The room seemed cleaner than the one we stayed at in Atlanta (only per friendly hotel with availability most if the time...) though it stayed a bit humid all night even though it wasn't as humid outside. The beds were a bit hard for my taste, so was surprised not to wake up sore. Booked a one night stay through Priceline, and walked in 15 minutes later. Check in was quick and simple, and upon finding that we had been assigned a smoking room, Jason at the night desk was kind enough to upgrade us to a king size room within moments. My two year old daughter slept quite well in the non smoking room. It even had a jacuzzi tub! Breakfast was hot and yummy with plenty of options, though seating was somewhat limited. Booked this hotel because it was close to the sick relative we would be in town visiting (otherwise, there is little reason to spend vacation time in this area) and everything else was full. Prepaid to get the best rate, which was still way overpriced for both the area and the quality of the hotel. We had to change rooms twice when we first arrived. The first room had not been cleaned for new guests- food left in the fridge, used soaps in the shower, used sheets left on the bed. The second room had perishable food left out on the table. The woman at the front desk had to physically go check the third room we were about to be assigned before sending us back upstairs. Fortunately, that room was acceptable. The woman at the front desk said she'd take a look at our folio to see what she could do to make up for the inconvenience, however, upon check-out no adjustments were made. The room had a strange odor and we ended up purchasing some air fresheners to make it more tolerable. The odor was likely a result of the air conditioner that leaked all over the carpet, saturating the front portion of the room. We had to constantly watch where we walked. Housekeeping freshened the room each day but did not always leave new toiletries or replace tissue box so we had to go to the front desk to get them. The "free breakfast" that is advertised is some bread and cold cereal with microwaved eggs and bacon. Plus, the dining area is quite small when the hotel is booked up, and people rudely sit around after they have finished eating, not sharing the space with others wanting to sit down and eat. There is a little lobby area with chairs and a TV but for the entire 5 days we were there, some strange man sat parked in front of the TV. He had a few suitcases piled up beside him but never changed clothes, set up his laptop on the coffee table, and controlled the TV's remote control all day everyday. The only slightly redeeming feature was the outdoor pool. It was clean and much needed in the summer heat. Otherwise, this place is a pit. Stay somewhere else. read more

The rooms were not that clean. We were moved to another room as soon as we checked in because there was something on the floor that resembled animal feces. The carpet was really dirty and the cleaning staff did vacuum the floor during my entire day which was 6 days. There was a smell in the room that I think was coming from the carpet so I went out and purchased air freshener. The guest were not told in advance that the cleaning staff were getting off early on Thanksgiving and would be cleaning the rooms early. We were awakened by loud banging on the door and then rushed to leave the room. When we are in this area visiting family again we will pay the few extra dollars and stay at the Microtel. read more

We hosted a conference at this hotel over the weekend. In early April, I called the hotel directly to book 4 rooms for Friday and Saturday night. The clerk told me booking 4 rooms would take a long time over the phone and to fax my instructions over. So I did. When I got the confirmation email, it was only for 2 rooms. So I went in person to the hotel. Told me I had 2 rooms for 4 nights booked, instead of 4 rooms at 2 nights. They supposedly cancelled the incorrect rooms and booked my 4 rooms. I left thinking everything was good. When I went to check in Friday I had 6 rooms, 4 for 2 nights and 2 for 4 nights. When I told the clerk what happened, he said I cant cancel because it was past the 24 hour window and I'd have to take it up with the manager next week. Upset I moved on and settled in. Per the notes in my reservation, 1 of the rooms I was supposed to get was a room that one of our employees had stayed in the night before, so they wouldn't have to change rooms. When I learned that we were not given that particular room, we returned the keys to the room we wouldn't use and advised of what happened and referenced the notes. The clerk said that was unacceptable and that we would need to pay for both rooms (totaling 5 rooms now). I called their 800# customer service who agreed this was bad business practices and came back frustrated after talking with the clerk. She said she would open a formal complaint if the manager had not called back by morning. I resigned to waiting until morning, until my employee came back to me again later that night. Her key had been deactivated and the clerk told her that the Manager instructed him to keep her out of the room until it was paid for! (At this point I'm paying for 3 extra rooms and 7 nights that THEY booked in error!) When I called customer service again to explain we were at our wits end they called the front desk another time. The clerk accused my employee of lying (even through we had 3 other employees who witnessed him tell her it was manager instructions to keep her out). He said we would be refunded but the clerk tomorrow would have to do it. Thankful to deal with ANYONE else, we waited till morning. The new clerk refunded all my unused days and printed documents showing that we didn't get charged for the nights. Later that afternoon, another employee staying in one of my other 3 rooms said her key got deactivated and they said they wouldn't let her in till she gave them a credit card! She argued with them and they gave her the key back. Now I've checked my credit card statement and I have been charged 2 additional rooms above what I should have been. This was THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE experience I have EVER dealt with. I have never had people so upset, and I've never had anyone so rude! Keep your credit card close to you, and double check your statements, they will threaten to keep you out of your room after you've checked in until you give them more money! read more
