What a great time! Beautiful weather, great beer and wine, fantastic food, and an awesome crowd. This event was just what the doctor ordered. Standouts included Opuntia Prickly Pear "brandy," which was very unique and deliciously exotic. Transmission Brewery's new Street Glide hazy IPA. And of course, the AR Catering BBQ truck's amazing and slutty pulled pork grilled cheese sandwich. It was very cool to listen to the vendors explain their products and their processes with pride. Very interesting! I really appreciated the nice wide-open area for the event. It gave off a cool, relaxed vibe, rather than a dusty stampede of drinkers that you might experience in a smaller, more crowded space. Unfortunately we had to leave before the music started. We didn't take one of the special buses to the event, but I really appreciated that people could ride from Santa Barbara, Goleta, Santa Maria, and Lompoc to attend the event, drink their hearts out and go home safely. This year's event was a blast! Riverview Park is such a great location. They had so many breweries, as well as wineries and hard seltzer attendees. I don't think I could have even tried to make it to every place. This location is really easy to get to and they did provide parking, for those who weren't drinking and could drive afterwards ;) there was a good amount of food options to choose from as well, which was nice with a 4-hour drinking event. I loved the photo opportunities and the giant beer pong was hilarious. Great activities were provided to add to the day! Can't wait to go next year. read more

The Buellton Brew Fest was awesome, very similar to the Surf N Suds Brew Fest that i went to last year. The event is in a large area with the vendors spaced out well so you don't end up with crowded super long lines like you do at other beer festivals. Back in 2015/2016 my favorite thing about beer festivals was just going with friends and getting unlimited beer samples for a few hours. But now with growth of craft breweries in Southern California my favorite part about beer festivals is discovering new places in SoCal. I ended up bookmarking 9 new breweries that i wasn't aware of prior to coming to this event. Overall the festival is very kick back, there's tons of porta potties, shaded & shaded seating/standing areas to relax with your drinks or food. Speaking of food there was about 4 or 5 food trucks at the event. The organizers also have a shuffle service available with pick/drop off return spots in Ventura county that you can purchase online with your tickets, & lastly speaking of tickets do yourself a favor and get the VIP tickets for an extra $10 i believe. You get an extra hour to enjoy the event & we also got a little lanyard to hold our drink cup around our neck which they were selling for $8. It was so freeing to not have to hold your glass whenever it didn't have beer in it. read more

En Fuego Events does it again! I've never seen so much quality beer in one place at one time. You just breathe and you are naturally loosened up from the smell of craft brews floating through the air. It really is something! My favorites definitely had to be the the pomegranate from a nice San Diego brewery and the Cucumber Sour from good ol, local Captain Fatty's. Both were shockingly flavorful and abundantly refreshing! Went really nice with the huge kettle corn bags my friends bought and the the insanely perfect Aebleskiver donuts I had to stop myself from buying more and more of. Overall the festival had a great crowd, not too little not too many, a perfect amount of beer breweries and sample sizes, ample amounts of food options, and extremely nice customer service, I must say. You could tell that everyone was happy to be there whether working or participating in the festivities. I think the thing that stood out to me most about this festival, in comparison the the previous ones this year, was the amount of games and activities there were for everyone to participate in throughout the festival grounds. Tons of life size Beer Pongs, a putting green, multiple areas for corn hole, and more. The band made for a nice lively vibe as well. All in all, everyone had a great time and we all agreed this one is on the calendar again for next year! read more

There are a lot of beer festivals out there these days. Too many to count really, but the Buellton Beer Fest totally rocks and is absolutely one of the best beer festivals around. Not insanely crowded but still a great cross section of breweries from all over the west coast as well as a few from the midwest. Weather is always at least decent, maybe a bit cold and windy this year but hey, anywhere other than so cal it's paradise this is a mandatory event on the calendar read more

Holy moly did I have fun!!!! To say that my husband and I had a blast would be an understatement. This beer festival was top notch, with a surprisingly wonderful selection of beers from over 50 breweries. There was a great combination of established breweries (Stone, Lagunitas, Ballast Point, Sierra Nevada etc) and smaller local breweries (Figueroa Mountain, Topa Topa, Belching Beaver, M. Special, etc) that you may not have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with. Some of the more established breweries used this as an opportunity to pour some rarer beers, cask reserves, or more experimental brews. I felt like the lesser well-known breweries brought their best classics. At first I thought the space was going to be too small, but there was plenty of room for all the breweries and the size of the crowd. I didn't feel claustrophobic, and the vibe was great. There was plenty of room for people to set up their lawn chairs and take in the day. The combination of live music and DJ added to the fun atmosphere. There were also a handful of lawn games including giant beer pong (thankfully without beer in the giant trash cans), corn hole, and golf. The giant peer pong is hard- be warned- but super fun. Parking is widely available, and free. A previous review mentioned long lines for the portable potties; this seems to have been resolved. There's plenty of free water and a great selection of food trucks. My husband and I cannot wait to attend next year's event- it's a must if you're into good California/ West Coast beers! read more

I had a lot of fun at this brewfest! There were a ton of super delicious beers, wine and ciders. There were also a ton of really cool vendors including chopped bottle art , as well as CBD and jojoba oil tents. Cornhole was very lively as well as good live music. The park wasn't too crowded which I really enjoyed compared to other festivals- at other festivals I have felt very a little claustrophobic and like I have to wait in line for everything. Also, the tacos were to die for! The only thing that bummed me out was that it ended so early, I wished it could have gone a little longer:/ read more

This was the worse run event ever. We took the designated bus and they made us wait an hour to get in. Who does this? They need new management!! Don't come!! The beer lines are super slow. Don't come. They made general admission wait an hour for VIP entrance although they told us to come at this time. read more

I must say, this event was super fun! I tried looking up what other people had to say about it and there weren't many reviews so here's to you future attendees. First off, there was free parking, which is always a plus, but you should probably take one of the many transportation services they offer instead of driving since this is indeed a drinking event haha. They provided plenty of complimentary cold water bottles to keep you hydrated on your beer and wine adventure as well as plenty of port-a-potties so most people never really had to wait in line to use the rest room - no lost time in hitting all those brewery stands! All the vendors were friendly and poured more than generous amounts. There was quite a variety to choose from so whether you're an IPA lover or a stout aficionado, they had something for you. They had a few other stands for people selling goods, which was cool to stop by. They also had 5 food trucks and a pretzel stand, if I recall correctly, but personally I wish they had more options because drunchies are a reaaaal thing. Overall, pretty cool event and well organized. I would definitely consider returning next year! read more

This is my second Buellton Brew Fest (there's been only two) and I have to say that this year was improved from last year. If you buy a ticket right when they go on sale, then it costs $27, but if you wait, it can cost as much as $50. There were about 25 different breweries/local bars present to pour their beers. The cost of the ticket gets you in for the four hour event, a bratwurst lunch and unlimited tastings throughout the event. There are local breweries, such as Firestone and Figueroa, and breweries from farther away like Hanger 24 (Redlands). Some local bars carry beers from all over the world and were there to showcase the finds they procurred. Overall, a very fun event. The negative- there is no shad in the park that they choose. Many people commented that they would be willing to pay more for a ticket if they put up a few tents for shade. read more

For an innaugural event, I was amazed at how well this came together. Even though they sold out the tickets, There was plenty of space, the band was great if generic, and the food included in the ticket was great! Other than some minor issues getting into the park to begin with (everyone had to get willcall tickets, and they didn't open right on time), everyone had a great time, and everyone was pleasant. We've been to all 4 of the annual Buellton Beer Fests. Won't be back for number 5. The first two were great, the third, well, that one revealed how incompetent the organizational and management staff really are. For the previous beer fests, the price of the ticket included lunch. At the 3rd beer fest, one of the food trucks cancelled on them, so instead of picking up the phone and saying "Hello Dominos, I need 100 pizzas", they just shrugged their shoulders and said "We don't care." This year, the tickets cost twice as much as they did originally and did not include lunch (since they already proved their incompetence in that area). Way too many people, not enough bathroom facilities, as in 25 minutes to stand in line to pee. Really? The organizers are clearly imbecels: 2400 tickets sold, 24 port-a-pottys.
