Our family has driven miles to visit this gorgeous lavender farm three different years. Each time has been a surprising delight to us all. We enjoy every moment of the personal whole farm tour by Lucas and guided wreath making under the trees; cutting our own lavender. This included an impressive array of refreshments artfully displayed, and even exceptional musical entertainment. This year we were able to book a personal tea for a birthday and continued to be awed with the time Denise took to include beautiful detail, floral touches, and quality handmade delectables. It was so peaceful amidst the lavender fields, and beside the quaint distillation hut, that we could hardly leave. We love the country gift shop of handmade lavender products and elegant packaging. They have an amazing story to their hand-worked land, and we are extremely grateful for having experienced their personal attention and creative sharing.

What a wonderful find! The lavender wasn't in full bloom yet but we enjoyed the cut flower growing area. The owner is very helpful and informative - we enjoyed chatting with him. They have a small retail shop with gifty items - soaps, lotions, essential oil, honey, greeting cards, etc. - flower themed. They're hosting a Lavender Festival on July 13. The lavender should be in full bloom and there will be lical artisans and food vendors. https://www.goldenstateapothecary.com/events-1/2024/2/8/santa-rita-hills-lavender-festival See you there!

This family-owned lavender farm is absolutely beautiful! My family and I had a wonderful tour when we visited and left with so much more knowledge about lavender farming, and much more. The owners are super welcoming, and you can tell that they put their hearts into this farm. We saw the lavender fields in full bloom, and it was such an incredible and unique experience to walk through seas of lavender! The farm also has a variety of gorgeous flowers in bloom, honey bees, and goats! We also had to buy some lavender products as souvenirs and are thoroughly enjoying the shower bombs, lavender satchels, and culinary lavender. This was for sure a highlight of our trip to Santa Barbara. It's definitely worth a visit!

Small family owned farm. Lucas explained the harvesting and distillation process to us. We're a little early for when they perform distillation but hope to come back another time. There is a gift shop where you can purchase products made with their lavender. The surprise was three skeins of yarn, spun from their sheep. We'll be back!

If you visit Solvang you should stop at this lovely farm, it's a hidden gem. There are couple lavender farms within driving distance from LA but this one is the best, since it's new so not over crowded with people. I visit on a weekday and only see a small group of 4 people. The owner and her son Lucas are very nice, I recommended you take a tour of the farm, you'll learn so much about lavender and plants around the property. They have yoga , wreaths making classes , private dining, check their website for all activities. The farm also have animals so perfect place to bring your kids. Admission is free so don't forget to purchase something from the farm stand to support small local businesses, they open up their door for you to share the beauty of their hard work. Public restroom is available ( out house)

We had an appetizer, wine, entrees, and dessert, and all were worth bragging about! Our server, Al, took very good care of us. There were several groups (bridal parties/ bachelorette parties) celebrating their special events and taking photos. After our meal we wandered through the property and encountered a petting zoo with mini donkeys, goats , peacocks, and emus! What a treat! The entire property is pristine and scenic. Vega has it all! I know Napa Valley is like THE Mecca of Wineries, at least in California, & going there once before, I kinda understand, kinda. But is it really that much better? In my humble opinion.. Ehh. It was whatever Sure, I'm down dropping a nice crispy Benjamin to get that aged, vintage 2013 Cab.. But will I really care, or even notice once that bottle is depleted & I'm now ordering the 2nd least expensive Chenin Blanc on the menu just to wash away all my worries. (Suddenly, Every wine snob, wine aficionado & novice sommelier enters the chat) But, But Lance, it's Napa, How dare you speak against this Holy Land of all Superior Wine. And to that I say, I get it. I truly understand that not all wine is created equally, but also that not all of us have the BIG BUCKS to continuously drop $100 big ones on that prized Napa Cab. Hey, call me crazy, but to me, it's not just ALL about the wine that is produced, but more about the overall experience. It's the vibe. It's the way you are treated. & it's definitely about how they made you feel. Anyone else getting Maya Angelou vibes?? IYKYK ;) **All Wine Snobs have left the Chat** *Vega Vineyard and Farm has entered the chat* Alright team Vega, sit back, kick your feet up, & just listen while I brag a little about you. It was a BEAUTIFUL November afternoon just 4 days prior to Thanksgiving. We were heading back south from Paso Robles & decided to make a little pit stop before getting all the way back home. So my wife looked up wineries in the area that were kid friendly & Vega was at the top of the list. Walking in, we noticed that they had a little restaurant right at the entrance, so we went to put our name down for a table. Unfortunately, the wait time was a little longer than we wanted to wait, only because we had the kids with us, but the hostess suggested if we didn't want to wait, that they had more food on the other end of the farm in "Pops Place". Other than the wine itself, eating the food in "Pops Place" was probably the best move we could have unintentionally made that day. (I'll explain in a bit) So we slowly made our way towards the other side of the farm/vineyard & all I can say is, what a gorgeous property it was. The farm life, the outdoors, the weather, & I was with my Fam. It couldn't have been a better day! Once we got to Pops Place, it was like we entered into a whole new world. A huge area for kids with a jungle gym, stations for outdoor games & activities, benches to sit, even private cabanas you can reserve (not sure if there is a cost) & of course a little shack to order food and wine! So remember earlier when I said eating in Pops Place was probably the best move we could have made that day, Well here are 3 reasons why! 1) We ordered the George's Greek Gyro Pita w/fries (a beef gyro with lettuce, tomato, onions & tzatziki wrapped in a pita) and.. OH. MY. GAWDDD It was so flippin' GOOD! It was so good, that I didn't even have time to snap a pic, let alone set it down after taking that 1st bite. It was complete perfection! 2) Chicken Strips & Fries from the kids menu w/a side of ranch.. Let's just say, The kids loved 'em. 3) We washed it all down w/a beautiful, crisp, perfect for a fall day, 2024 bottle of their finest ALBARIÑO. & it was, EXCELLENT!! After we sat & ate, let the kids get out all of their energy, the fun at Vega continued. From there, we headed to feed the livestock on the property (lettuce sold onsite for a few bucks). There were Chickens, Goats, Pigs, Emu's & Sheep, and the kids and myself had a blast feeding 'em. After that, we stopped off at one of their gift shops to browse all of the fun stuff. Of course, we got the kids their requested candy! The staff we interacted with while at Vega were all so kind, welcoming & made us feel apart of the extended Vega family. Because of this, we will definitely be coming back next time we pass through. So, & this is where YOU come in! The next time you are passing through Buellton, do yourself, your spouse and your kids, if you've got them, a HUGE favor: Come check out Vega Vineyard & Farm and tell me that I was right!

Pricing was $7 for adults and $3 for kids under 12 plus $1 for each person wanting to feed the Ostrich and Emu. You enter through a gift shop and then out to where all of the birds are - they even had a couple of bunnies and a cat. There were so many Ostrich and Emu spread out everywhere. They come right up to you and just start pecking away! Tip: if you walk down further where the Emu are, there is more room to move around and plus there are lots of birds to feed. I think the Ostrich at the front of the entrance get most of the food - we felt bad not going to where the others were. The whole area was pretty cool - it kind of felt like we were on a safari with how picturesque the mountains and land were. The lady running the gift shop who also explained the rules was very nice! The setting itself is just as memorable as the tasting. There is ample charming outdoor seating beside a small creek, and the gentle sound of flowing water creates a peaceful, almost meditative atmosphere. The vibes are truly immaculate.
