One year ago, we were in the beginning phases of the organized chaos of a complete master bath remodel. I am pleased to say that the result was exceptional. My wife and I had specific ideas and requirements. Christian, whom I have known for a long time, was completely responsive to every one of our needs. His estimate, while not the lowest we received, was by far the most detailed and extensive. When we changed or modified our ideas in midstream, he just shifted gears and updated the estimate. Larry, his project manager, was remarkable. Tear out and prep went as smoothly as is possible in such situations. Larry did that work, the rough carpentry, drywall, plumbing, the heated floor and tile, and poured the pan for the walk-in shower in place. He installed the cabinetry. His measurements were always spot-on, and his problem-solving skills without parallel. We learned to count on him. Buerger's subcontractors proved to be exceptional and reliable. In particular, we were not happy with any of the local cabinet people. Christian located an on-line company that proved the solution. Like Buerger, the company worked closely with us; they went through seven modifications and updates, and when the cabinetry arrived it was perfect. Likewise the electrical people were very responsive. We were able to add some lighting and add an outlet to the cabinet pull-out, and the rewiring to accommodate the heated floor went without a hitch. We did some ADA modifications as we looked to our future. These included enlarging the entry door and hand grips in the shower. Likewise the glass people and the countertop folks were patient and flexible. When the job was complete, for reasons unknown one of the sliding glass doors unexpectedly collapsed into gravel-sized pieces. The glass folks replaced it in a matter of days. The result is wonderful. We smile every time we shower. It is perhaps the nicest room in the house, and I occasionally look for a sign to hang on the door: NO NEED TO MAKE UP ROOM. I can't recommend these guys enough. We had a 70s small master bathroom with an orange vanity countertop and yellow tile shower. When Christian came to give us a quote, he listened to me, gave me suggestions where appropriate, and was honest about what was going to be required to fix the damage done to the bathroom over the last 44 years. Christian provided a detailed estimate, not only did the estimate include details on all of the construction costs, he put in allowances for items that we were responsible for purchasing so we had a pretty good idea what the whole project would cost. As things changed, Christian was diligent about updating the estimate. I immediately did a right turn on the materials I wanted. Christian didn't bat an eye - he just updated the estimate and the plan, and gave me very helpful suggestions that improved the usability of the room. Ron was amazing. He did a beautiful job texturing/painting/tiling. For example, I'm really picky about the texture on the wall because the existing texture in the rest of the house is from the 70s (I like it) and not everybody can replicate it. Ron knew this was important to me and he did a great job duplicating the old texture. He was exacting about details of the remodel that made the difference between a good job and a great job. I've worked with a lot of contractors and was impressed with the professionalism and quality of the work from Buerger Brothers. I will definitely be hiring them again for future projects. read more

We contacted Buerger Brothers to remodel our kitchen and dining room. From the start they were the most professional contractors we talked to. Christian is quick to return calls, texts and emails. And when we wanted to make a few changes/additions mid project, they were quick to let us know what it would costs and get our approval before moving ahead. For our kitchen they took out 2 walls and put up a 15' steel beam to open up the kitchen to the living room. They installed a beautiful new tile floor, and even though the subfloor wasn't level at all they made it look great. Then they skim coated all our walls to make the new drywall match the old. They installed cabinets that we had purchased on our own and made recommendations on how to trim everything out to make it look custom. Christian and Mike are a bit OCD about making sure everything lines up perfect. They really care about making sure is everything is the way you want it. We would definitely use them again for future remodeling needs. read more

Throughout the initial planning process, Christian was very thorough and advised on a wide range of options. As with many projects it grew from relatively simple to more extensive with plumbing, electrical, framing, etc. I wanted to chose all the finishes myself while also adhering to a set overall budget. Christian pointed me in the right direction for all the resources I needed. Ron, the project manager, did an excellent job both in craftsmanship and coordinating the various trades. Throughout the entire process both Christian and Ron communicated with me often and went above and beyond to make sure I was completely satisfied. Christian was the only company offering fence construction that returned my call at all (and almost instantly). From the day we spoke on the phone about our need for a new fence, he was responsive, helpful and followed through with his promises. He was at my house to give me an estimate the day after we spoke and his estimate was exactly what the final bill stated. He was honest about how busy his team was and set the date for our new fence 6-8 weeks out and gave me 10 days notice to allow us time to prepare the ground around the old fence for demolition. Christian was in touch the entire time. His carpenter, Z, did all the work and checked in with me before making decisions. He overcame a few hiccups due to poor cable company markings of the property. Z was helpful and thorough and communicated thoughtfully. His workmanship is impeccable. In 2022 Christian and his cadre of engineers, masons, excavators, framers and finishers reconstructed a portion of my house which had been self-destructing due to 65-year-old construction methods and 65 years of soil movement. A new foundation element was designed and implemented to support the renewed brick wall so that it won't happen again. As the GC he made all of my interactions with the subs and the materials suppliers as smooth as possible, even dealing with a factory production problem with the widows and finding bricks that mostly matched the original ones. Now he is organizing another project to head-off some potential foundation damage at the other end of the house. (Gotta love the expansive soils and frost heaving of the Denver foothills area.) If you are looking for an honest builder with solid craftsmanship, Buerger Brothers is the best. We've worked with them on multiple project turning our highlands fixer-upper into a beautiful sleek and contemporary modern bungalow. The team is friendly and easy to work with and despite the many hurdles you experience with older homes they did everything to honored their quoted time frame without cutting corners and if there was ever an issue Christian, our contractor, was always forthcoming and offered proactive solutions making us confident in his work. I recall one time in particular when we were working on our kitchen and needed to get a permit by a certain date in order to complete work before Thanksgiving. Christian went down to the county building himself and hustled them to ensure wed have the paperwork and inspections needed so we'd be eating turkey cooked in our new oven. read more

We had Buerger Brothers Construction out in early 2020 for a home renovation project (removing a load-bearing wall), and the entire experience went well. Christian's original estimate was extremely detailed, and, as a detail-oriented person, I very much appreciated the information. Whenever something came up during the work (which is bound to happen in any home renovation project), Christian contacted us quicky and explained the issue and possible resolutions. I'm quite happy with the basement bedroom and bath they installed five years ago (in late 2015). During the build process, they were able to adjust the design as the construction revealed new challenges and opportunities. Accommodation of (and costs for) change-orders were reasonable. Build quality is solid (five years on) with the floating walls able to accommodate at least 3/4" of underlying soil movement (our house, like most in the region, suffers significant soil shifting caused by seasonal hydration of the clay content). Now, at the end of 2020, I'm consulting with them again in preperation for the next project I'll be hiring them for! read more

My wife and I chose Buerger Bros construction to install floors, drywall, etc. in our basement following a catastrophic flood, as well as remove and install our hardwood flooring throughout the entire house. Long story short, they were professional, detailed, communicative and an overall joy to work with.
