It's truly an amazing organization that focuses on family and does so much good, especially for those struggling financially. Some highlights I found that were good to know include: Cost is $15 per night for a family medicaid coverage (all states cover this fee except Utah Medicaid). The only families who qualify would need to reside at least 35 miles away. Over 22,000 families were served in the first year alone, but in order to stay here, families need to be referred by social worker and have a thorough background check. They do not allow early room reservations to prevent turning away a family in need that could have had an empty room that gets cancelled. There is a 25 cent coke machines in community room. Due to enterovirus, kids under 14 and not inpatient cannot stay. But they do allow visiting guests. I'd recommend any organization that is looking to donate to a charity to consider the Ronald McDonald House. There are also many ways to volunteer, so definitely look into it--whether you're a chef, story-time expert, or OCD cleaner!

We moved much of our clutter and storage into the unit before even listing our home. It really helped our home show well - we were able to receive multiple offers and sell in two days. I know it was largely because we were able to stage and declutter by having our extra storage/furniture in the unit. I was so surprised at how much we were able to store in the Unit. It was such a convenient process being able to load our things in, have them stored and then the unit delivered to our new home. Everything was done in our own time frame. The employees are very professional and customer service is unmatched. I would never think twice about using their services again or hesitate to recommend Units to a good friend!

I moved from Roy to South Weber earlier this year and I used Units. I loved moving with a Unit…read moreinstead of a transitional moving company and truck. I was able to take a few days to load up the Unit, then gave them a call and the next day they picked it up and moved it to my new house. I wish I would have reserved more straps because they work so well. I used some of my own straps and they did not work as well as the straps unit lets you rent. I was able to move my 3 bedroom house in one single unit. They were very professional and easy to work with. Highly recommend.

And although…read moreI'm not ready to take any quizzes, I do know that I have always admired the work they do and have been lucky enough to help out from time to time. Officially it's a denomination--I'm told it's in the Methodist vein--but that it holds a military-like organization so you have officer titles and the like. What I am most familiar with is the work they do to serve and alleviate suffering throughout the 100+ nations in which they have a presence. They're certainly doing that in SLC. We may be familiar with the thrift shops, and with the kettles around the holidays, but they're also working with youth, homeless, and jobless, and those who are less fortunate. This location is their chapel and some offices. It's not lavish and it's not opulent, but it is nice, tidy, and in good repair. I had the chance to walk around a bit today and saw the chapel, library and gymnasium. I've not been for services. I spoke with their volunteer coordinator and there are certainly opportunities to serve. You can ring bells at the kettles, serve food, take Thanksgiving meals to shut-ins, and many other opportunities that are available year-round.
